To see the glowing lights with surrounding fog, and the two suns! The thought of that world brings me peace. I know you all long to return to it. We do not each other. But are united through this experience.

Bonjour à tous! Le remaster en Hi-Res Audio 96/24 est désormais disponible en album numérique, sur BandCamp! J'ai fait un gros travail pour améliorer la qualité du son avec les outils d'aujourd'hui, sans trahir la version d'origine et ça s'entend! Stéréo élargie, définition sonore améliorée, dynamique décoiffante, basses moelleuses et aigus cristallins, on a vraiment l'impression de s'être débouché les oreilles!

Par contre, dommage d'avoir mis des images générées par IA dans le téléchargement... en tant qu'infographiste, collègue et ami de très nombreux artistes, je dois vous dire que nous ne voyons pas cette approche comme étant autre chose que délétère, vide de sens, et irrespecteuse des millions d'œuvres accaparées par ceux qui proposent ces outils de remâchage automatisé. J'espère que vous reviendrez sur cette décision. Merci

Un grand merci pour cette conversion en FLAC, qui me permettra désormais d'écouter la version CDi sur mon PC sans avoir à lancer le fichier edmusics.rtf issu du disque CDi dans mon bon vieux Media Player Classic (si, si, ça fonctionne). J'en profite pour signaler que la qualité du son que l'on entend dans cette vidéo CZcams est fortement dégradée (voire dénaturée) par rapport à la source CDi, contrairement à vos fichiers FLAC qui en sont l'exacte reproduction. En effet, dans la vidéo le son manque de médiums et de basses, de moelleux, et paraît "bouché" par rapport à la source. Je savais que CZcams compressait le son, mais pas au point d'en modifier le mixage. J'ai essayé la lecture sur deux navigateurs différents (Firefox et Chrome) au cas où cela changerait quelque chose, mais j'obtiens le même résultat. En tant que possesseur du CD officiel de 1997 avec les musiques réarrangées, je partage certaines de vos déceptions concernant ce dernier, notamment le synthé remplacé par un chant dans le Lost Eden Theme, mais j'éprouve tout de même beaucoup de plaisir à l'écouter, et en tant que fan des musiques de Stéphane PICQ je ferai bien entendu l'acquisition du remaster 2024 lorsqu'il le mettra en ligne (c'est pour très bientôt), et j'espère d'ailleurs qu'il le sortira également en CD physique pour ma collection.
Le remaster est disponible, et il y a en bonus, la version originale de Lost Eden Theme ...
Bonsoir, j'étais passé par un plugin Winamp « d'amélioration » du son pour cette mise en ligne CZcams, d'où la différence que vous constatez entre les fichiers téléchargés et la vidéo. C'était intentionnel. (Je pense plutôt que ça avait rendu le son plus clair et punchy, mais bon, les goûts et les couleurs ! 😀)
@@MaxLebled_ALT Bonsoir, ok je comprends mieux la différence entre la source et la version mise en ligne. Avec ce traitement le son est effectivement plus "punchy" et fait ressortit les aigus, mais la contrepartie c'est que les instruments manquent d'ampleur à cause notamment du manque de bas médiums, et je trouve que cela fait perdre en immersion. C'est en ce sens que je parlais de "dégradation". Après, comme vous dites, les goûts et les couleurs... 😁 En tout cas je suis ravi que vous ayez mis à disposition la version non retouchée convertie en FLAC : encore merci pour ce lien ! 🙂👍.

I never knew about the piece at 29:25 - 30:20. I always complete this area too quickly to hear it. At 31:21 I always get pumped to kill those shield using mercs with ASMD combos. Alexander Brandon put a lot of work into this OST and I think it's his best work overall.

The game is already frustrating for someone new to the genre. Then they add bugs where you can't travel to camp, without giving you hint as to why that is.
I just encountered for the second time the problem of the CPU collapsing at 399/400mhz and the support advised me to try these three things even if I doubt they solve anything: eliminate any third-party software such as deckyloader, restore the bios settings, reimagine steam os. some time ago it happened that the CPU crashed randomly then it stopped and I don't remember how (maybe luck?) now it's back.

I totally agree, re: the Main Theme on the official CD, I hated that the synth part in the "chorus" was replaced by that ill-fitting operatic voice. I hope that wasn't Stephane's choice or decision. :)

Bonjour, tout d'abord un grand merci pour toutes les superbes musiques que vous avez composées depuis l'époque de l'Amiga, puis sur PC. Petite précision concernant la qualité des musiques de Lost Eden en version CDi restituées dans cette vidéo CZcams : il y a ici une forte dégradation par rapport à la source CDi, contrairement aux fichiers FLAC mis à disposition par l'auteur de cette vidéo, qui en sont l'exacte reproduction. En effet, dans la vidéo le son manque de médiums et de basses, de moelleux, et paraît "bouché" par rapport à la source. Déjà possesseur du CD audio de 1997, j'attends avec impatience votre remaster 2024 sur Bandcamp et j'espère que vous le sortirez également en CD physique afin que je puisse l'ajouter à ma collection, à côté de mes CDs d'OST de DUNE, LOST EDEN 1997, ATLANTIS et RIVER WORLD. 🙂 Merci également d'avoir mis en ligne sur Soundcloud et sur votre page CZcams la version studio du thème "Alarm" de Megarace que je recherchais depuis des décennies : je l'avais découvert à l'époque en extrait sur votre ancien site Web (Esteban) sous le nom "ALARM SET" (au format Realaudio très compressé), puis en version plus longue dans une compilation CD "Mega Video Game Music Volume 1" mais débutant et se terminant par un fondu avec une autre musique et avec une qualité assez moyenne pour du CD, donc je ne l'avais jamais eu en version propre et complète. De plus, d'après ce que j'ai compris vous allez encore améliorer cette version prochainement : pourrait-on alors espérer un soundtrack complet de Megarace en version studio ?
