I can relate to struggling with crowds. I have PTSD too, so some things trigger me or make me highly anxious. I know what sort of struggle this is, so wow. I can applaud you so so much! This is a great accomplishment! It’s one I still have to master too, but future me will be able to do this one day ☺️

Hey Carter! Could you please talk about how you handle your PTSD and overstimulation at Disney? I find that theme parks, malls (especially at Christmastime) and large outdoor events tend to overstimulate me and the number of people can make me anxious so I'm curious to hear about whether you experience that when you go to Disney and how you cope. Thanks!

This is a good chance to talk about it because I've never opened up about it and many people don't know about Disney's accessibility and disability access services! Disney is really great about providing accessibility options to those who may have a challenging time in the parks (whether that be physically or mentally). I'm so grateful for that because it allows me to still enjoy the parks the way I could before being diagnosed with PTSD and finding a new normal!
You'll notice in the Disney videos we don't wait in queues or lines (I do qualify for DAS which allows us to wait outside lines and go in when we get to the "front" of the line) and stay out of crowded areas! We also never go during peak times of year which helps a ton! We also take tons of breaks throughout the day in quiet areas or back at the hotel to let me "reset". I'm also on medication which helps too! But Disney is actually okay for me since I'm constantly moving around! I have a harder time managing my PTSD when I'm in one crowded spot for extended periods of time like concerts!
But their DAS system works well for me since my biggest trigger is indoor areas with crowds of people! So if a ride has a 60min wait, we sign up to ride on the app, wait the 60min outside of the ride (we can walk around, go in stores etc) and then go in when we've "waited" the 60min! It's not about limiting what you can do with PTSD but finding new ways to enjoy the things you love!

I have a whole playlist on buying our first home and budgetting somewhat! But in full transparency, we bought a year sooner than we were expecting because of our rental situation, so we had to pull from our existing savings and RRSP's for it. So we didn't necessarily save up for a house, we just pulled from our already existing general savings accounts!

Also, I totally agree about the Dae styling cream… I honestly don’t think it’s anything special, especially for how expensive it is and how much hype it gets on Tik Tok. I don’t like that it feels slippery when applying, and the smell is too strong for me personally. Loooove the wax stick, though!!

I never finished BOTW either (I got as far as getting the master sword and defeating all the Ganons but not the final Calamity Ganon), started Tears of the Kingdom and honestly its SO good and I don’t think it matters if you didn’t finish, if you can defeat thunderblight ganon which imo is the hardest one you’ll be fine!!

Forever and always a leftover girly. I have been cooking for myself since I was a kid (my parents sometimes had to both work nights), so anything to keep me from having to cook yet again. Very lucky to have a partner who loves to cook because I have grown to hate it😂
My parents just bought their second house in February and then sold their first house in April, and my mom was trying to explain everything to my brother and me and we were so confused. It was wild to hear about it

Canada is so different when it comes to buying a home lol I understood none of that but it sounds like it’s better than the markets here in the USA
I heard mortgage porting isn't a thing in the US? So interesting! Our interest rates are rough here right now, averaging about 6%! So we're not really in a buyers or sellers market honestly hahaha. So glad we bought in 2020 even if we overpaid for our house because of our 1.8% interest rate we can port! I mean honestly the market is still pretty rough here and we have barely any incentives to buy a home (you pay an insurance penalty unless you put 20% down) 😅. The average house cost in Ottawa where we live is $675k CAD (about $494k USD) and the only way we could get a single family home under $650k was moving 40min out of the city. It was worth the sacrifice but still 🥲
@@CarterSullivan omg no I never heard of that. I bought in 2020 too! But our interest rates are about 7.7% so we are in a bad market too. Your average priced home is about the same in AZ (probably most states) I had to move 35-40 mins away from Phoenix just to get a nicer, bigger home. So it sounds like it's similar but luckily you can port your interest rate. I have a 3.3% and sitting on some equity. But can't refinance because rates are so high!
A thriller that did not disappoint me this year is “The Push” by Ashley Audrain. It’s so much more then a thriller. It’s a feminist manifesto/domestic drama/thriller extravaganza! 5 stars from Me.
Loved that one, I read it when it came out!

It seems like you say you don’t treat yourself but in almost every video you’re “treating yourself” with purchases that are unnecessary and wasteful…
If you watch my videos you would see I'm a big fan of budgetting and spending money in areas that bring me joy while also prioritizing saving/investing! Just because you may not see a purchase as something you would purchase doesn't mean it's a waste or unnecessary for others! I've also talked about in numerous videos how I'm just learning how to treat myself and be okay spending money on myself! Because spending money IS OKAY, when you value the purchases. I'm not perfect and of course I make impulsive purchases but for the most part I really think through purchases! Just a friendly reminder 🥰
