I can't even begin to imagine how the victims of stalkers must feel, especially when the stalker becomes intimidating or aggressive. To add insult to injury, how frustrating it must be for stalking victims not to be taken seriously by the authorities by having their situation undermined or dismissed altogether. Why the victims have to be responsible for the behavior or reactions of their stalkers more than boggles the mind.
@melstiller8561 My daughter was stalked by a random guy who was already banned from her Uni cos he kept freaking out the female exchange students that lived on campus. My daughter is a very petite, pretty blonde haired blue eyed Japanese student and must have stood out to him. After he was banned from campus, he started to show up at the petrol station she worked nights (lone worker) and he was banned from the store between 8pm-8am. Then hung around the building for literal hours standing directly under different cameras, smiling at her through CCTV and relaying the usual route she took going to and from work etc. She reported it to police there and then and to be fair, they did take her seriously. He was questioned and cautioned, banned from being within a certain distance of the forecourt and the police issued her with an insanely loud alarm and contact details for officers that would pick up and be available 24/7. He went quiet and then dropped off the radar. Few months later she got a call from Metropolitan Police. He'd moved to London, picked up where he left off with another young lass of very similar age and appearance who was subjected to a serious physical and sexual assault for which he's currently serving a four year sentence. Don't know the finer details but dread to think what he did to her that got him 4yrs inside. Poor lass. 😔

I had to move house, change job, and change uni all at once and not stay in contact with anyone from my old life to stop the stalking I was facing. The police said they would only intervene if I were to get hurt - which is a bit late.

I was targeted by a stallker I barely knew in 2008. He was a friend of a friend, and I don't think we ever said more than 'hello' to each other. He somehow got hold of my home address, and drove for hours to knock on my door at 3am. It was terrifying. He climbed over my fence and was trying to look through my windows. I think he was either an 'intimacy seeker' or an 'incompetent suitor'. He was eventually arrested by the police, and when they asked him why he was doing this, he yelled 'BECAUSE I LOVE HER!' When the police told me this, I told them 'he can't love me, he doesn't KNOW me'. He was eventually sectioned due to psychosis. But the police didn't warn me when he was discharged from hospital, and they made some very inappropriate jokes to me, a traumatised victim. Sixteen years later, and I still haven't dated, because I'm basically scared that any man will turn into a stalker. I'm still afraid every time I get home alone in the dark.
That’s horrible. Police are the worst, they really are. At least they did the bear minimum of there job and got him arrested. I hope you are eventually able to date someone you trust, if that’s what you end up wanting to do.

In Norway, where I live there is the use of zoning tags with restraining orders so that if the offender comes in too near proximity to the victim it sets off an alarm both to the victim and the police.
I live in the US and work for a government agency and my stalker is a co worker. They have a policy of not firing veterans. He is a veteran. I was told he will still be working there long after I am gone. Before anyone says i should get a different job, I am 64 years old. Noone would hire me in a position that would pay me what i make now. It has taken 17 years to reach this pay. I told a friend at work if I disappear or am murdered who will have done it. He has no reason to be anywhere near me at work yet is always showing up in my space to intimidate me. They used the term micro aggression in the video and that is very accurate. Not knowing what they are capable of, always having to think about them. It's awful.
Sounds horrendous. I wonder if you or he could be relocated to another of your organisation’s offices. Even if that isn’t possible; surely he can be prohibited by management from going near where you are situated given the harassment/safety implications.
I'm a veteran and can tell you that veterans can be fired. The policy is lunacy. Report him to HR. Veterans can be fired for cause. I know this. Stalking is cause. You can go to HR, or your Equal Opportunity department. You can also call a hotline number for sexual harassment. You don't have to take it. I know it's hard. I'm a woman veteran and had a stalker once. It wasn't taken seriously. After all, I was in the military, so I "should have" been able to handle myself. That was the crap I got fed. My stalker was a civilian who lived in my apartment on the floor above me. Creeper. Maybe you can transfer to another department or agency. I worked at the VA, and got fired during my probation period. I worked 11 months and was let go without cause. So yeah, they fire veterans. That didn't have anything to do with stalking. It was something different. I didn't even do anything to deserve it. They decided that I wasn't a" good fit" for the position.

Do you think he or she was a secret admirer? The birthday card could have been a way for a man or woman to disclose that they care enough about you to remember your birthday. That’s my best guess. I can't exactly put my finger on it but I sure don't want it to escalate. Psychological services feed off both the perpetrator and victim, You get told to get therapy to get out of the situation, yet services who already counsel the stalker have no accountability loop or any desire to engage their patient in a discussion around the behaviour you try to report to them. Women are told "safety Plan" Perpetrators are not provided with a behavioural change plan....
Yes, I am working on boundaries and trying not to think about the behavior I witness periodically. Like all of this would just go away if I gaslight myself into ignoring behavior. The stalker doesn't go to the doctor or therapy, he is not held accountable for anything and is emboldened in his fantasy. So I have to pretend I am not bothered as I wait for what he will get away with next. They know it's wrong though because of how sneaky they do things to avoid getting law involved.

I used to live in Los Angeles, which has the toughest stalking laws on the planet, but also ran up against the problem that the police aren’t trained to deal with stalking. My stalker literally ruined my life and ran me out of the state. The police were like, “Filming you isn’t against the law.” And “ How do you know it was her that slashed your tires?” The police are useless.
I have read in the United States 1 in 3 women will be stalked in their lifetime. It’s unacceptable that police are not handling this properly and siding with the stalkers/ scammers.
Keep your profiles private. Background check people if you date. I don’t even date anymore but when I did with a friend we would background check anyone. And even then it can still happen to you 💔 Sometimes it’s not even the person or people you would think to worry about that do it. I think that might be one of the scariest parts. Makes you really just want to stay to yourself
It is the same here in New York… the legal system is not up to date with a criminal behavior that has to do with an abuse committed by mentally ill people… i’m going through this cycle with one sociopath/stalker and it’s beyond what one can comprehend and do. 😢… unless a tangible crime is committed, most of time authorities do absolutely nothing and even refuse to punish the “criminal”. As if psychological abuse that sociopaths can inflict is not on the same “level” as physical violence… it is horrible. Also “my” stalker is a definition of a pathological narcissist…. I've said to so many people don't keep yourself trapped on social media leave them they're not even worth the time as it is it's full of toxic posts and not great on your mental health because of how addictive it is, you'll get so much time back not being on social media. It's been a while since i haven't been on any of them and now i have no fears that anything could happen because of them because it did and if i didn't get rid of them being harassed and stalked on a game i play would've been so much worse. Not being on them prevents anyone from trying anything or so much as thinking about me it prevents too easy access to us and they'll appeal to your pride and ego to keep yourself trapped into it all but you have to put it aside and do what you've got to in order to keep yourself safe. We can help ourselves by removing ourselves from these sites it was all so much better back in the 1990s and before where all we had was a telephone and some pen and paper and we didn't feel the need to tell anyone anything. I went back to doing a few things the way i did them then and you'll see that the only reason people are on social media is because of peer pressures and maybe for work or school but primarily peer pressures. But there is no strict measures against peer pressures when there should be and even when people use it for specific purposes they allow people to form cliques and that's when things start to happen. So we have to set those measures for ourselves and there are multiple options to do that if you really do need to use social media use whatever options available whether disabling notifications checking manually to preventing yourself being automatically added to group chats use it because it'll save you a lot of issues. You have to keep it to only using it for a very specific purposes for yourself if you use it for a chat meeting only use it for that then log off keep it strict because there are coworkers on it and not all of them can be trusted.

I got rid of My stalker.He came up to my face& said, YOU'RE AFRAID OF ME!!! Arent You!!???.I was,but i kept cool. I knew he was trying 2intimidate me & we were the only ones on the street. Although,I was scared to death,i knew i needed to be confident & calm.Then,Ironically,my mouth went on cruse control or auto pilot.Out came the words,Yes,im afraid,BUT MY #38 ISN'T.!!We both were in shock🥺! Immediately, he made a U- turn& left. I never had problems any more & i never had any weapons,but it worked. Another time a guy followed me while going to bus stop to worked (3rd shift). I turned around,but kept my hand in my left pocket,& used my right hand to wave to him to come on- try me. He made a U-turn& left.Once again,no weapon,but i never saw him again.I guess its a mind thing?!!
I have a TRIO of stalkers and harassers within my community. So much for "loving your neighbour as yourself"...but they aren't Christian, and that speaks volumes regarding what the Bible says and what the world says about "mental health issues"...As my personal and most current stalkers/harassers have been doing such to me for several years now...to the point of having dead animals found on my property amongst other "items" and traces of such, to which I do not want to post exact details of here...not sure if these people are trying to intimidate me or they are just trying "scare tactics"...as wolves always come in packs. They are never just ONE individual, they are many. But most victims only "see" one individual who does the actual "physical foot work" so to speak. The rest of them hide behind their computers or phones and do that type of "foot work"...like texting, harassing, gas lighting, spamming, hacking, theft, ID theft, scams, doxing, messaging of another sort etc... on social media accounts of many kinds, to which I also have been victim to. SICK AND TIRED OF THEM!
I sometimes wonder how much my "Christian Values" are what attracted the stalker to begin with. I checked on him a few weeks after his Mom died because he had no visitors and was clearly abandoned by family. In time I became aware of the reasons why he had no other connections. But it's done a real number on me now that I have been coping with their stalking over a year. I am definitely not qualified to help here and regret getting involved... In fact I think he was provoked when I told him I don't watch horror movies because God told me a long time ago not to. This person watches horror movies all the time and I think he didn't like my opinion about his favorite slasher films. So now he is an actor in some stalker movie of his own. I feel like it's a spiritual battle with people who stalk someone. Like they are targeting you for trying to be a decent person.
The police do nothing. Victims all over hear the same things, how the police cannot do anything and in my case it was dismissed as a neighbour dispute. 6 yrs now I am under constant surveillance, followed where ever I go, the verbal abuse when I leave my home, go to my garage, threats to me and my pets, cameras pointed into my home, damage to my home, assault, etc. All caught on video as he has done something under each window there is CCTV all around my home and I have a body camera. I make sure I never react in hopes of deescalating the situation. Getting a solicitor to start an injunction resulted in the police threatening the solicitor with arrest for harassing my stalker. You quickly understand there is nothing the stalker will do that the police will do anything about. I have told everyone: family, friends, co workers, that if something happens to me it's not an accident. This ruins your life. I wish I had you Isla with me when I report the stalking to the police. The police believe my stalker who says I'm stalking him despite all the evidence and incidents occurring all on my normal routes/places and home.
Your story hits home, very sorry about your situation and you're absolutely right about these weirdos and their behaviors affecting us in different ways. Well in my case, it took a series of recordings overtime and speaking to a Sargent to help me with my situation. The cops who shown up to my home before seemed to believe my narcissistic neighbor and it was very upsetting. I spoke with a Sargent from my local police and that's been a help. In my experience complaints especially involving harassment and stalking are taken way more seriously when a Sargent is involved perhaps you may want to try that too. Maybe it may be a help to you. After 4 years of constant harassment by my neighbors and several cops, I now have a protective order against neighbor. It's taken 4 years to get one sadly and it doesn't necessarily stop the psycho from harassing me. My neighbor still seeks out even with order of protection in place but she does that through 3rd parties like her children and boyfriend now involved creating havoc in my life without reason. Best way to completely get a piece of mind is no contact and possibly moving without a trace. These narcs are crazy of crazies it's pathetic!

My neighbor/stalker admitted to the police everything he did. He admitted to sending obscene texts and accosting me whenever I left my house. The police declined to press charges because "his name will be put in the paper" and also the village has to pay for every case prosecuted. So it just wasn't worth it to "law enforcement" (I have to laugh at that term). When police acknowledge you have been victimized and yet refuse to help, there's little recourse left for the victim.
I’m 67 and still getting stalked by strangers. I give them no voice, no time and no contact. They position themselves next to my balcony and living room window. However, I keep myself UNAPPROACHABLE bc once I reject them, they can turn very violent. Become so conscious that you don’t go unconscious again. ❤
I can so relate to her❤. I had to leave my home and put it for sale due to stalking, harassment and constant surveillance. It was easy for them to hack my devices as i lived next door. It did not end there...story to be told at a later time. This individual is a typical case of predatory stalker. He takes pleasure by intimidating and dominating. It is his way of life however in my case he never succeeded 😊
They do in the USA also the police dismiss it and think the woman is overreacting. It's not a big deal. They are not only not trauma-informed but they also re-victimize the woman. The police won't take it as a crime and even in court, in my case, allow the woman's reputation down. In my case, they made it out as if I didn't have the right to break-up with him without discussing it with him. It's still happening. I'm currently being stalked and have no clue who they even are. I'm a male 31and it's a group of guys all riding in the same pickup. They follow me every day when I leave for work (I've made purposeful turns and u-turns to be sure they were actually following me), they stop about a block away from my house just screaming shit at me (can't tell what though they're too far away), and they drive by my house really slowly at 3am every single night (I have cameras). Even with all the photos and videos nobody will believe me because I have a penis. Do you have any advice for me? I know if anything goes down I have the right to self defense (I'm in the US) but I'd rather it not get to that point. But all it's going to take is them finally trying to jump me or do whatever they're following me for and I wouldn't stand a chance one vs 4-5 people. Idk what to do at this point beyond be extremely cautious and watch my back
Keep collecting all evidence get cameras and use your phone when out and about to record and document times and dates then rename each video with the dates and times, then organize your videos according to location. You'll have to be persistent with it for several months so you can record them showing up multiple times and following you multiple times make an absolutely thorough file on them don't cheap out and win because they're giving you no choice. Don't so much as talk to them just let their behavior speak for itself and when you hand in the evidence they'll see from the videos they're the only people doing things. I had to do all this on an online game and i even tricked them by staying at a location i normally don't go to and the guy mainly responsible for sending people after me kept showing up every few months and he only lasted 1 month before he did. He did this whenever he knew he was losing me and was about to start things again after a few weeks of going silent so that i'd relax so he could maximize his effect. He just stood there pretending he was doing nothing but it was the very fact he showed up where i was even when he has other places to go and stood his character as close to mine as he could even on my new account creepy. You have to catch them out on these things too because they can't disprove they weren't doing anything because of the mere fact they kept showing up after you've been making it clear you want nothing to do with them. Make sure to keep a copy of the file somewhere because you don't want anyone going on your phone and deleting all the evidence.

Someone was texting me last night just out of the blue, very alarming things, how they saw me in my neighborhood taking out the trash! I have no idea who it was and how they got my phone number!!! I called the police and got a female officer and she was very responsive, she told me this could be the beginning of something or maybe just a one time thing! I’m pretty upset not knowing what to expect…

So many people refuse to take themselves off social media even when they know that's the problem, get yourself off them love they aren't worth the time and there's already laws coming into effect that nobody under 16 can use social media and for schools to stop any phones being on the premises or taken from them before class because of how addictive social media is. Once you get used to them it seems your life will change too much if you aren't on them but it doesn't it's just one less site to be on. Keep yourself secure too don't slack off on security change passwords on all the most important sites every 2 months at least, i got lazy and they just get in no matter how big you make your password it's like they're just let in if you don't change it. Keep it all clean and safe too and only stick to official sources don't use any mods or custom content just use the game vanilla and you'll be completely save.
Your talking about levels of stalking, don't try to defend stalkers who aren;t physical, mental stalking has a physical effect on people, folowing people has a mental effect which causes physical stress, lack of motivation, depression, hopelessness and all sorts of physically diminishing effects.
My stalker literally stopped because I asked him to 😳 I wasn’t expecting it to work but I told him that he was making me very uncomfortable and that I needed him to stop and he said that it would pain him to do so but he would do it for me 😳 I’ve never seen him since! Might be worth trying in the early stages for anyone else struggling with this, though some will just be determined to continue no matter what unfortunately. Perhaps worth trying to directly communicate if it’s safe to though.
I have/am done ALL these ‘tips’ -Despite multiple violations of my Order of Protection, my stalker has violated so many times, I have moved, changed my job, my son’s school 2x & he still won’t stop. He’s destroying my life & nothing I can do.
IN Australia, staying at a family members property and it started day one after I had been doing a property condition report and looked at something under the carport - 2 wood beams that went through to the other side. I was called names, then I was called a very horrible name. Then there were notes in the door etc and an incident at the front door. My phone camera interfered with and someone in my kitchen, then creepy out near the side gate holding his phone up to take an image of me - during the time my phone was stuffed with. Followed cyber security advise and went to a tech, techy did not know enough to understand the phone hacking and said it was the hard drive. It was not. My. phone worked properly the next morning. I spent money going away and staying away for days and weeks. I got work and was about to settle down to work and then he just tapped on the window at the time I had to get up... It was weird and created distress, then the person at the reception desk was rude when. I arrived and someone else .... I resigned from my job with a trauma head ache and curled up in bed that afternoon acknowledged psychological damage from my past relationship that started from an assault.....
I feel like in this woman’s case there was a severe lack of empathy as well, hers of which was no doubt impaired by the stress of the situation too thereby harming her social reasoning problem solving ability; heck if I was a single gal and who knows what other prior experiences I have with guys and then yeah this dude next door right…. If there was a greater level of intelligent mentalizing aka that’s what I mean by empathy on this case from the cops that inevitably would have led to more assertive boundaries on there end this would have cleared up much better. I want to be mindful about what I say as a comment in response to this video overall out of respect for the woman involved. Understandably cops have a cognitive threshold for their caseload right, though in general I would say that the capacity for mentalization isn’t selected for enough as it pertains to cops for uniquely selecting for social problem solving. I have been stalked for several years. The Palo Alto police and dispatch are complicit with the stalker. I was brutally assaulted by a police clerk who had case my vehicle on 5/9/24. I lost over 2 liters of blood and the police refused to take my report. They were condescending, gaslighting and dismissive while I was bleeding out in the ambulance. Then on 07/17 someone broke in and sexually assaulted me. The police harassed me, gaslighting and harassing me for the nine hours I was in the hospital. Meanwhile someone broke into my vehicle and stole a bunch of my clothing and took a tool and smashed up the outside of the vehicle. Police still have not taken my complaints seriously.
*cased The Palo Alto Police don’t take it seriously even though it has been extremely violent, dangerous and aggressive. I had my wallet and identification stole in December 2020, I went with a friend to the police station and the Palo Alto police refused to take a report.
Unfortunately several Palo Alto police and emergency dispatchers ARE criminals and have no interest for public safety. They only care about protecting criminals and I have documented the dispatchers and officers committing multiple infractions and felonies. The common one is 136.1 intimidated and harassment of a victim or witness to a crime. They have repeatedly exploited the legal system and violated the law and policy for police.
They seem to have paid several people to harass me at a nearby business. The guy in the red truck CA plates 8xxx596 he harasses me nearly every night. I rarely call the police because they pay this guy to harass me. And they gaslight me. They have sprayed many poisonous chemicals on my vehicle, spray my roof with a drone pair, and other excessive insane stalking behaviors. It sounds crazy because They Are.
My oldest daughter has had a guy stalking her for 7 yrs literally a couple years after high school. She’s getting married to my grandson’s dad and they’ve been together eight years so he’s been there from the beginning of all of this starting and at first he believed that she was out there in the streets doing all these things this guy was saying. I told him this dude never has any photos of her doing anything no photos of them together. He’ll go away a couple of months then he’s back. I think the longest he disappeared was nine months and then he came back. The last time he sent something to her sister and I don’t even know how he got her phone number, but I don’t think he knows it’s her sister. He thinks she just a girl friend Because he sent her a video from three years ago and it’s been edited her and her sisters were all at a party dancing together, but in this video, she’s dancing with a guy, but you can’t see the guy face. All of them were there together, so they know that there was no guy dancing. They were dancing together. My daughter never posted anything and it was the sister who had the video. But he has a snippet of the video and somehow he put some dude with no face in it dancing behind her. Her sister lives in a whole otherstate and has never been here. I’ve been stalked since 1988 from one lad in my year! Back then it was laughed off! Then when left school one time he’s ringing me 20/30 times a day, he’s stalked on and off all my life to one point he got a job at my work!! Past couple of years ago… I still see him where I live and have a panic if I see him in the shop. Over 30 plus years I’ve lived with it.
Her story is so similar to mine. The police do not take it seriously and the stalker I believe is paying off some of them. I had a young officer tell me about the stalker that he is so nice and polite. Clearly, this officer was young and dumb. I guess it’s all around the world in that police force is not trained regarding stalker behavior. Same thing happened to me when we went to court: he tried to make it like I was stalking him. He lies at the drop of a hat about everything and anything. I pray that this blows up in his face. I’m praying for justice. I also have to move just like she had to. I hope he picks the wrong person to mess with one day and finally gets what he deserves. I hope he ends up in jail for the rest of his life.
Hi Dr Sohom, is the only/main difference between narcissism and psychopathy the levels of empathy shown by the individual i.e would this be the defining metric used to differentiate between the two? Could a simple definition for a Lehman such as myself be that a narcissist can show empathy after the fact and a psychopath is born without the ability to empathise?
I am in Oregon, and my police have not done anything AT ALL for me. I have 6 years of documentation, 6 years of stalking...now the stalker has shot over my property (on video, no less). Cops won't take a stalking report, despite a law being on the books. I have spent hours trying to get them to take a report, but nope. I'm literally going to have to catch a bullet before they do anything...and that's not ok. What do I do? To whom fo I turn???

Yes it can be a tricky one when they are a neighboor because you want to fit in and get on with them. So many clips on u-tube dont give you practical tips so THANK-U 4 this. If I was her I probably would have bought myself a big beautiful protective dog. Yes narcissists feed on positive and negative attention. ❤ best to not say anything to them. They are on every level of our govt, including doctors, therapists, EMT;s,lawyers, and yes all police and state cops, not all are stalkers, but they do know about the program.

Some of this is so very true! Like beyond for real true. Sketchy of new people they could work for the stalker! The system dose not protect you! It's the victim who's life gets turned upside down! It's all bad and sad for the victims and almost nothing is disrupted to the guilty malicious stalker/abuser. The court system is actually the stalkers friend if you share a child, the courts hand the victims over on a golden platter!!! The stalker disregards protection orders and clear the area before police arrive and since they are not there any more the police do nothing but say well if they come back give us a call again! Like your ganna end up dead before the system protects you!!! 1 year and you have to fight for another one. Needless to say this isn't my real name! I left my abuser in 2018 and in 2024, I still have to look over my shoulders, question people new and old and their intentions and if they work for the stalker!! Worry about every move I make vandalism to my vehicle, slander on my name and character! Like this shit isn't ok!!! 😢 seems I get to live like this forever! I reported it I had a witness ,I moved to several states I changed my name and still fighting , it has taken its toll on me I'm angry all the time I have been diagnosed with PTSD, this is a fricking nightmare. So many people say their stalkers keep finding them and that's being most likely you're being tracked either on your car, an object they planted, or something they put on one of your household devices. They don't keep their accounts safe either and keep using the app feature to login to stuff that isn't safe at all, you have to learn how to keep completely secure and don't put the slightest bit of information about yourself online don't even give clues in usernames use generated ones. I recently made a new youtube because of problems i had on a game and they knew my last one as you can tell completely made up name lol i just choose one i like nobody even knows if i'm male or female not on here not on anything zip all and it's kept me safe.
Know if you are under some sort of investigation. If so, they will do exactly what they want & get away with every sick bit of it. All I can do is plea the blood of the lamb, over my family, each & every one of us & suffer through the abuses, harassment etc

Dr have you ever heard of a person being hired to stalk on behalf of someone else? For instance, when you no longer respond to the fake profiles (changed SM settings) So my ‘hired’ stalker was actually an actor, pretending to want a relationship with me, things didnt add up, he had 2 phones, he kept going to the loo, coming back with more questions. When messaging and phoning me he was asking things that related to a previous stalker who had done an SA on me at work. The real stalker got a warning from the GMC so cannot contact me direct-he is a very wealthy psychiatrist! There is more I could tell you-any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a “stalker” but I don’t have rigid lenses the way other people do. She suffers from autism and so she isn’t able to put herself in my shoes. She has just become obsessed with me. I’m hyper-aware of the fact that she’s probably aware of how “omg I can’t believe how much I’m obsessing over him” and I just gently maneuver around that. It’s all digital. No physical contact. And I won’t do that. I told her I have a girlfriend now even though I don’t (by the way she already has a sir, yeah I know). I don’t have the heart to have harsh boundaries towards her. I trust my ability to socially analyse the situation well and not freak out and be a jerk like one of the normies would and probably that she’s been rejected by in the past. Peace Sohom, and yeah, stalker is such a loaded term or maybe I just haven’t seen enough terrifying case studies not that I’d want to put myself through that. I just believe in contextualizing reality accurately, through the lens of life as life. Like we wouldn’t call a wolf a stalker of another wolf or another animal a stalker of another animal. It’s a bizarre word and we have all these bizarre connotations as a part of our survival apparatus, to me we gotta focus on the reality of any potential illness more than anything else. Contrary to popular belief but please don't assume "just cos autism = zero empathy" it is definitely an individual-by-individual basis (sorry to assume, sorry if im wrong). But this perspective needs re-evaluation (as i hear it a lot too). I have diagnosed autism and i also have very strong empathy. Also, we don't "suffer", it is not a disease, (actually i guess we DO suffer socially to a degree >.>). It is incredibly difficult even for high functioning (i hate that term but its relevant here) autism to find people we are comfortable around and more often than not, yes, it comes off as obsessive. Takes us a lot of growth to understand personal space, some more (or less) than others. I was one of those people. I got very easily attached to someone i really enjoyed the company of. It can improve with time, but we need firm boundaries (with explanations if possible) to understand why we are overwhelming a person. It is very difficult to grasp, with limited social and life experience. I remember what i was like back then. It feels different for us. Its often very hard to tell the difference between romantic and platonic. Im old, had kids, and i still struggle with it. But one thing you shouldn't do is lie, even with good intent. It leaves mixed signals. You don't have a girlfriend, tell her that but also firmly press you are not interested. Explain (insert her behaviour that makes you feel overwhelmed) and why and how it affects you and work with her to find a ground that's both healthy and comfortable. There is nothing more painful than "guessing" if this person likes me, might like me later with time etc, i think he kinda likes me... It goes with most people i would imagine. But sometimes what feels like a "crush" from the receivers end is just "this person is awesome" from our end. Rejection bloody hurts, but a shattered illusion can be incredibly traumatic. It is better to be bluntly rejected any day. I get each level of autism and person is different but usually those of us that have some ability to socialise usually have enough intelligence to understand... we just majorly suck at interpreting social cues! >_< but we will never understand them at all when people tiptoe around us like we cant understand. I dont expect everyone to overexplain themselves till we get it (yes i know, some of us are exhausting and on constant boot loops), just give us that chance to understand rather than assume we wont. It can be quite upsetting when everyone assumes we need to be handled a certain way though - it honestly makes me feel, less human when people do it. (Not trying to make my comment a personal attack, just trying to express it from an autistic perspective) On a valid and good note, i think its good you dont want to hurt her. I also dont know her, to even come close to gaging her level of social interactions, personality etc. Just speculation.
Trust me when you're really being stalked you'll feel their presence and oppression over you and you develop a sixth sense about them where you can feel their souls suddenly directing their attention and energy on you, you feel they're watching and focusing on you even when they're nowhere to be seen. It's like you feel this pressure and know they're about to do something and show up before they even do it, you wake up one day even after not seeing them for a while and it's "well something doesn't feel right today" and boom they show up hours or 1 day later. It's like they're also psychically attacking you and you feel it big time because you start to feel super anxious and aware and the pressure and stress in your brain like somebody is having influence over it and trying to effect it. You become more immune to it over time but they can read you and feel you what you really feel and you see the evil grin even when they aren't smiling you feel their dark cloud. How they mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and even cognitively effect you is terrible worse than anything anyone can do and you'll know when someone is effecting you this way. Don't underestimate someone just because they have a disability either i've been bullied by people with disabilities with personality disorders. There was even a girl that was deaf that suddenly went to the high school i did and i didn't understand a lot of things back then so i didn't get how to learn sign language, but she expected everyone to learn it for her and she started calling me names just because i didn't. I was even lead on by a guy i got too obsessed with who had autism it means nothing if they aren't hampered enough to not be able to understand what they're doing they do just like anyone else.

I have a question I’m a big fan of the channel by the way, but how do you as a medical professional keep your composure and keep yourself together because you do forensic psychology and you have a pedo or similar predator you have the case file in front of you the evidence is there but you still have to do your job. How do you hold yourself together in that snap on some of these people that show up in front of you and how do you decompress and calm down when you’re not working, I imagine this must take a toll.

Professions such as yours, any that involve two people alone together, including therapists of all kinds, social workers, care workers etc etc have professional codes of ethics to ensure everyone stays safe and there's no confusion, no blurring and no abuse of power. Having boundaries is so important in every relationship, to keep everyone safe, isn't it. Yet so many families fail to have proper boundaries or to instill them in their children. No wonder perpetrators feel entitled to overstep them and victims don't know how to enforce them.

I can't even begin to imagine how the victims of stalkers must feel, especially when the stalker becomes intimidating or aggressive. To add insult to injury, how frustrating it must be for stalking victims not to be taken seriously by the authorities by having their situation undermined or dismissed altogether. Why the victims have to be responsible for the behavior or reactions of their stalkers more than boggles the mind.
@melstiller8561 My daughter was stalked by a random guy who was already banned from her Uni cos he kept freaking out the female exchange students that lived on campus. My daughter is a very petite, pretty blonde haired blue eyed Japanese student and must have stood out to him. After he was banned from campus, he started to show up at the petrol station she worked nights (lone worker) and he was banned from the store between 8pm-8am. Then hung around the building for literal hours standing directly under different cameras, smiling at her through CCTV and relaying the usual route she took going to and from work etc. She reported it to police there and then and to be fair, they did take her seriously. He was questioned and cautioned, banned from being within a certain distance of the forecourt and the police issued her with an insanely loud alarm and contact details for officers that would pick up and be available 24/7. He went quiet and then dropped off the radar. Few months later she got a call from Metropolitan Police. He'd moved to London, picked up where he left off with another young lass of very similar age and appearance who was subjected to a serious physical and sexual assault for which he's currently serving a four year sentence. Don't know the finer details but dread to think what he did to her that got him 4yrs inside. Poor lass. 😔

I had to move house, change job, and change uni all at once and not stay in contact with anyone from my old life to stop the stalking I was facing. The police said they would only intervene if I were to get hurt - which is a bit late.

I was targeted by a stallker I barely knew in 2008. He was a friend of a friend, and I don't think we ever said more than 'hello' to each other. He somehow got hold of my home address, and drove for hours to knock on my door at 3am. It was terrifying. He climbed over my fence and was trying to look through my windows. I think he was either an 'intimacy seeker' or an 'incompetent suitor'. He was eventually arrested by the police, and when they asked him why he was doing this, he yelled 'BECAUSE I LOVE HER!' When the police told me this, I told them 'he can't love me, he doesn't KNOW me'. He was eventually sectioned due to psychosis. But the police didn't warn me when he was discharged from hospital, and they made some very inappropriate jokes to me, a traumatised victim. Sixteen years later, and I still haven't dated, because I'm basically scared that any man will turn into a stalker. I'm still afraid every time I get home alone in the dark.
That’s horrible. Police are the worst, they really are. At least they did the bear minimum of there job and got him arrested. I hope you are eventually able to date someone you trust, if that’s what you end up wanting to do.

In Norway, where I live there is the use of zoning tags with restraining orders so that if the offender comes in too near proximity to the victim it sets off an alarm both to the victim and the police.

I live in the US and work for a government agency and my stalker is a co worker. They have a policy of not firing veterans. He is a veteran. I was told he will still be working there long after I am gone. Before anyone says i should get a different job, I am 64 years old. Noone would hire me in a position that would pay me what i make now. It has taken 17 years to reach this pay. I told a friend at work if I disappear or am murdered who will have done it. He has no reason to be anywhere near me at work yet is always showing up in my space to intimidate me. They used the term micro aggression in the video and that is very accurate. Not knowing what they are capable of, always having to think about them. It's awful.
Sounds horrendous. I wonder if you or he could be relocated to another of your organisation’s offices. Even if that isn’t possible; surely he can be prohibited by management from going near where you are situated given the harassment/safety implications.

Report him to HR. Veterans can be fired for cause. I know this. Stalking is cause.

Psychological services feed off both the perpetrator and victim, You get told to get therapy to get out of the situation, yet services who already counsel the stalker have no accountability loop or any desire to engage their patient in a discussion around the behaviour you try to report to them. Women are told "safety Plan" Perpetrators are not provided with a behavioural change plan....
Yes, I am working on boundaries and trying not to think about the behavior I witness periodically. Like all of this would just go away if I gaslight myself into ignoring behavior. The stalker doesn't go to the doctor or therapy, he is not held accountable for anything and is emboldened in his fantasy. So I have to pretend I am not bothered as I wait for what he will get away with next. They know it's wrong though because of how sneaky they do things to avoid getting law involved.

I used to live in Los Angeles, which has the toughest stalking laws on the planet, but also ran up against the problem that the police aren’t trained to deal with stalking. My stalker literally ruined my life and ran me out of the state. The police were like, “Filming you isn’t against the law.” And “ How do you know it was her that slashed your tires?” The police are useless.

It is the same here in New York… the legal system is not up to date with a criminal behavior that has to do with an abuse committed by mentally ill people… i’m going through this cycle with one sociopath/stalker and it’s beyond what one can comprehend and do. 😢… unless a tangible crime is committed, most of time authorities do absolutely nothing and even refuse to punish the “criminal”. As if psychological abuse that sociopaths can inflict is not on the same “level” as physical violence… it is horrible. Also “my” stalker is a definition of a pathological narcissist…. I've said to so many people don't keep yourself trapped on social media leave them they're not even worth the time as it is it's full of toxic posts and not great on your mental health because of how addictive it is, you'll get so much time back not being on social media.
It's been a while since i haven't been on any of them and now i have no fears that anything could happen because of them because it did and if i didn't get rid of them being harassed and stalked on a game i play would've been so much worse. Not being on them prevents anyone from trying anything or so much as thinking about me it prevents too easy access to us and they'll appeal to your pride and ego to keep yourself trapped into it all but you have to put it aside and do what you've got to in order to keep yourself safe.
We can help ourselves by removing ourselves from these sites it was all so much better back in the 1990s and before where all we had was a telephone and some pen and paper and we didn't feel the need to tell anyone anything. I went back to doing a few things the way i did them then and you'll see that the only reason people are on social media is because of peer pressures and maybe for work or school but primarily peer pressures.
But there is no strict measures against peer pressures when there should be and even when people use it for specific purposes they allow people to form cliques and that's when things start to happen. So we have to set those measures for ourselves and there are multiple options to do that if you really do need to use social media use whatever options available whether disabling notifications checking manually to preventing yourself being automatically added to group chats use it because it'll save you a lot of issues. You have to keep it to only using it for a very specific purposes for yourself if you use it for a chat meeting only use it for that then log off keep it strict because there are coworkers on it and not all of them can be trusted.

Immediately, he made a U- turn& left. I never had problems any more & i never had any weapons,but it worked. Another time a guy followed me while going to bus stop to worked (3rd shift). I turned around,but kept my hand in my left pocket,& used my right hand to wave to him to come on- try me. He made a U-turn& left.Once again,no weapon,but i never saw him again.I guess its a mind thing?!!
I have a TRIO of stalkers and harassers within my community. So much for "loving your neighbour as yourself"...but they aren't Christian, and that speaks volumes regarding what the Bible says and what the world says about "mental health issues"...As my personal and most current stalkers/harassers have been doing such to me for several years now...to the point of having dead animals found on my property amongst other "items" and traces of such, to which I do not want to post exact details of here...not sure if these people are trying to intimidate me or they are just trying "scare tactics"...as wolves always come in packs. They are never just ONE individual, they are many. But most victims only "see" one individual who does the actual "physical foot work" so to speak. The rest of them hide behind their computers or phones and do that type of "foot work"...like texting, harassing, gas lighting, spamming, hacking, theft, ID theft, scams, doxing, messaging of another sort etc... on social media accounts of many kinds, to which I also have been victim to.

I sometimes wonder how much my "Christian Values" are what attracted the stalker to begin with. I checked on him a few weeks after his Mom died because he had no visitors and was clearly abandoned by family. In time I became aware of the reasons why he had no other connections. But it's done a real number on me now that I have been coping with their stalking over a year. I am definitely not qualified to help here and regret getting involved... In fact I think he was provoked when I told him I don't watch horror movies because God told me a long time ago not to. This person watches horror movies all the time and I think he didn't like my opinion about his favorite slasher films. So now he is an actor in some stalker movie of his own. I feel like it's a spiritual battle with people who stalk someone. Like they are targeting you for trying to be a decent person.
The police do nothing. Victims all over hear the same things, how the police cannot do anything and in my case it was dismissed as a neighbour dispute. 6 yrs now I am under constant surveillance, followed where ever I go, the verbal abuse when I leave my home, go to my garage, threats to me and my pets, cameras pointed into my home, damage to my home, assault, etc. All caught on video as he has done something under each window there is CCTV all around my home and I have a body camera. I make sure I never react in hopes of deescalating the situation. Getting a solicitor to start an injunction resulted in the police threatening the solicitor with arrest for harassing my stalker. You quickly understand there is nothing the stalker will do that the police will do anything about. I have told everyone: family, friends, co workers, that if something happens to me it's not an accident. This ruins your life. I wish I had you Isla with me when I report the stalking to the police. The police believe my stalker who says I'm stalking him despite all the evidence and incidents occurring all on my normal routes/places and home.
Your story hits home, very sorry about your situation and you're absolutely right about these weirdos and their behaviors affecting us in different ways. Well in my case, it took a series of recordings overtime and speaking to a Sargent to help me with my situation. The cops who shown up to my home before seemed to believe my narcissistic neighbor and it was very upsetting. I spoke with a Sargent from my local police and that's been a help. In my experience complaints especially involving harassment and stalking are taken way more seriously when a Sargent is involved perhaps you may want to try that too. Maybe it may be a help to you. After 4 years of constant harassment by my neighbors and several cops, I now have a protective order against neighbor. It's taken 4 years to get one sadly and it doesn't necessarily stop the psycho from harassing me. My neighbor still seeks out even with order of protection in place but she does that through 3rd parties like her children and boyfriend now involved creating havoc in my life without reason. Best way to completely get a piece of mind is no contact and possibly moving without a trace. These narcs are crazy of crazies it's pathetic!

Its been going on for YEARS! But now he’s hijacked her phone, social media and home cameras so the cameras are turned onto her. My neighbor/stalker admitted to the police everything he did. He admitted to sending obscene texts and accosting me whenever I left my house. The police declined to press charges because "his name will be put in the paper" and also the village has to pay for every case prosecuted. So it just wasn't worth it to "law enforcement" (I have to laugh at that term). When police acknowledge you have been victimized and yet refuse to help, there's little recourse left for the victim.
I’m 67 and still getting stalked by strangers. I give them no voice, no time and no contact. They position themselves next to my balcony and living room window. However, I keep myself UNAPPROACHABLE bc once I reject them, they can turn very violent. Become so conscious that you don’t go unconscious again. ❤
I can so relate to her❤. I had to leave my home and put it for sale due to stalking, harassment and constant surveillance. It was easy for them to hack my devices as i lived next door. It did not end there...story to be told at a later time. This individual is a typical case of predatory stalker. He takes pleasure by intimidating and dominating. It is his way of life however in my case he never succeeded 😊

They do in the USA also the police dismiss it and think the woman is overreacting. It's not a big deal. They are not only not trauma-informed but they also re-victimize the woman. The police won't take it as a crime and even in court, in my case, allow the woman's reputation down. In my case, they made it out as if I didn't have the right to break-up with him without discussing it with him.

The ways to address these ppl are extremely difficult to enact if your stalker is a work colleague with decades of seniority over you. Ugh.
I'm currently being stalked and have no clue who they even are. I'm a male 31and it's a group of guys all riding in the same pickup. They follow me every day when I leave for work (I've made purposeful turns and u-turns to be sure they were actually following me), they stop about a block away from my house just screaming shit at me (can't tell what though they're too far away), and they drive by my house really slowly at 3am every single night (I have cameras). Even with all the photos and videos nobody will believe me because I have a penis. Do you have any advice for me? I know if anything goes down I have the right to self defense (I'm in the US) but I'd rather it not get to that point. But all it's going to take is them finally trying to jump me or do whatever they're following me for and I wouldn't stand a chance one vs 4-5 people. Idk what to do at this point beyond be extremely cautious and watch my back
Keep collecting all evidence get cameras and use your phone when out and about to record and document times and dates then rename each video with the dates and times, then organize your videos according to location. You'll have to be persistent with it for several months so you can record them showing up multiple times and following you multiple times make an absolutely thorough file on them don't cheap out and win because they're giving you no choice.
Don't so much as talk to them just let their behavior speak for itself and when you hand in the evidence they'll see from the videos they're the only people doing things. I had to do all this on an online game and i even tricked them by staying at a location i normally don't go to and the guy mainly responsible for sending people after me kept showing up every few months and he only lasted 1 month before he did. He did this whenever he knew he was losing me and was about to start things again after a few weeks of going silent so that i'd relax so he could maximize his effect.
He just stood there pretending he was doing nothing but it was the very fact he showed up where i was even when he has other places to go and stood his character as close to mine as he could even on my new account creepy. You have to catch them out on these things too because they can't disprove they weren't doing anything because of the mere fact they kept showing up after you've been making it clear you want nothing to do with them. Make sure to keep a copy of the file somewhere because you don't want anyone going on your phone and deleting all the evidence.

I called the police and got a female officer and she was very responsive, she told me this could be the beginning of something or maybe just a one time thing! So many people refuse to take themselves off social media even when they know that's the problem, get yourself off them love they aren't worth the time and there's already laws coming into effect that nobody under 16 can use social media and for schools to stop any phones being on the premises or taken from them before class because of how addictive social media is. Once you get used to them it seems your life will change too much if you aren't on them but it doesn't it's just one less site to be on.
Keep yourself secure too don't slack off on security change passwords on all the most important sites every 2 months at least, i got lazy and they just get in no matter how big you make your password it's like they're just let in if you don't change it. Keep it all clean and safe too and only stick to official sources don't use any mods or custom content just use the game vanilla and you'll be completely save.

Might be worth trying in the early stages for anyone else struggling with this, though some will just be determined to continue no matter what unfortunately. Perhaps worth trying to directly communicate if it’s safe to though.
I have/am done ALL these ‘tips’ -Despite multiple violations of my Order of Protection, my stalker has violated so many times, I have moved, changed my job, my son’s school 2x & he still won’t stop. He’s destroying my life & nothing I can do.
IN Australia, staying at a family members property and it started day one after I had been doing a property condition report and looked at something under the carport - 2 wood beams that went through to the other side. I was called names, then I was called a very horrible name. Then there were notes in the door etc and an incident at the front door. My phone camera interfered with and someone in my kitchen, then creepy out near the side gate holding his phone up to take an image of me - during the time my phone was stuffed with. Followed cyber security advise and went to a tech, techy did not know enough to understand the phone hacking and said it was the hard drive. It was not. My. phone worked properly the next morning. I spent money going away and staying away for days and weeks. I got work and was about to settle down to work and then he just tapped on the window at the time I had to get up... It was weird and created distress, then the person at the reception desk was rude when. I arrived and someone else .... I resigned from my job with a trauma head ache and curled up in bed that afternoon acknowledged psychological damage from my past relationship that started from an assault.....
I feel like in this woman’s case there was a severe lack of empathy as well, hers of which was no doubt impaired by the stress of the situation too thereby harming her social reasoning problem solving ability; heck if I was a single gal and who knows what other prior experiences I have with guys and then yeah this dude next door right…. If there was a greater level of intelligent mentalizing aka that’s what I mean by empathy on this case from the cops that inevitably would have led to more assertive boundaries on there end this would have cleared up much better. I want to be mindful about what I say as a comment in response to this video overall out of respect for the woman involved. Understandably cops have a cognitive threshold for their caseload right, though in general I would say that the capacity for mentalization isn’t selected for enough as it pertains to cops for uniquely selecting for social problem solving. I have been stalked for several years. The Palo Alto police and dispatch are complicit with the stalker. I was brutally assaulted by a police clerk who had case my vehicle on 5/9/24. I lost over 2 liters of blood and the police refused to take my report. They were condescending, gaslighting and dismissive while I was bleeding out in the ambulance.
Then on 07/17 someone broke in and sexually assaulted me. The police harassed me, gaslighting and harassing me for the nine hours I was in the hospital.
Meanwhile someone broke into my vehicle and stole a bunch of my clothing and took a tool and smashed up the outside of the vehicle.
Police still have not taken my complaints seriously.

The Palo Alto Police don’t take it seriously even though it has been extremely violent, dangerous and aggressive.
I had my wallet and identification stole in December 2020, I went with a friend to the police station and the Palo Alto police refused to take a report.
Unfortunately several Palo Alto police and emergency dispatchers ARE criminals and have no interest for public safety. They only care about protecting criminals and I have documented the dispatchers and officers committing multiple infractions and felonies. The common one is 136.1 intimidated and harassment of a victim or witness to a crime. They have repeatedly exploited the legal system and violated the law and policy for police.
They seem to have paid several people to harass me at a nearby business. The guy in the red truck CA plates 8xxx596 he harasses me nearly every night. I rarely call the police because they pay this guy to harass me. And they gaslight me. They have sprayed many poisonous chemicals on my vehicle, spray my roof with a drone pair, and other excessive insane stalking behaviors. It sounds crazy because They Are.
I have caught this guy in the act of cutting the metal on my vehicle. There are cameras and the police know. They are in on it.
I don’t need mental help, I need the police to not be patsy criminals.
My oldest daughter has had a guy stalking her for 7 yrs literally a couple years after high school.
She’s getting married to my grandson’s dad and they’ve been together eight years so he’s been there from the beginning of all of this starting and at first he believed that she was out there in the streets doing all these things this guy was saying.
I told him this dude never has any photos of her doing anything no photos of them together.
He’ll go away a couple of months then he’s back. I think the longest he disappeared was nine months and then he came back.
The last time he sent something to her sister and I don’t even know how he got her phone number, but I don’t think he knows it’s her sister.

All of them were there together, so they know that there was no guy dancing. They were dancing together.
My daughter never posted anything and it was the sister who had the video. But he has a snippet of the video and somehow he put some dude with no face in it dancing behind her.
Her sister lives in a whole otherstate and has never been here.
Like we know the original video was 3 yrs ago and there’s no guy in it just the girls.

I’ve been stalked since 1988 from one lad in my year! Back then it was laughed off! Then when left school one time he’s ringing me 20/30 times a day, he’s stalked on and off all my life to one point he got a job at my work!! Past couple of years ago… I still see him where I live and have a panic if I see him in the shop. Over 30 plus years I’ve lived with it.
Her story is so similar to mine. The police do not take it seriously and the stalker I believe is paying off some of them. I had a young officer tell me about the stalker that he is so nice and polite. Clearly, this officer was young and dumb. I guess it’s all around the world in that police force is not trained regarding stalker behavior.
Same thing happened to me when we went to court: he tried to make it like I was stalking him. He lies at the drop of a hat about everything and anything.
I pray that this blows up in his face. I’m praying for justice. I also have to move just like she had to.

I am in Oregon, and my police have not done anything AT ALL for me. I have 6 years of documentation, 6 years of stalking...now the stalker has shot over my property (on video, no less).
Cops won't take a stalking report, despite a law being on the books. I have spent hours trying to get them to take a report, but nope.

Yes it can be a tricky one when they are a neighboor because you want to fit in and get on with them. So many clips on u-tube dont give you practical tips so THANK-U 4 this. If I was her I probably would have bought myself a big beautiful protective dog. Yes narcissists feed on positive and negative attention. ❤ best to not say anything to them. Then in 2019 I married another covert narcissist who also stalked me and almost made me end my own life at a hotel room we stayed at for a business event in Maryland. Only by the grace of God, I managed to leave that toxic marriage and I will never allow another man to abuse me like that! Self-love and self-respect will not allow you to let these men abuse you! Like your ganna end up dead before the system protects you!!! 1 year and you have to fight for another one. Needless to say this isn't my real name! I left my abuser in 2018 and in 2024, I still have to look over my shoulders, question people new and old and their intentions and if they work for the stalker!! Worry about every move I make vandalism to my vehicle, slander on my name and character! Like this shit isn't ok!!! 😢 seems I get to live like this forever! So many people say their stalkers keep finding them and that's being most likely you're being tracked either on your car, an object they planted, or something they put on one of your household devices. They don't keep their accounts safe either and keep using the app feature to login to stuff that isn't safe at all, you have to learn how to keep completely secure and don't put the slightest bit of information about yourself online don't even give clues in usernames use generated ones.
I recently made a new youtube because of problems i had on a game and they knew my last one as you can tell completely made up name lol i just choose one i like nobody even knows if i'm male or female not on here not on anything zip all and it's kept me safe.

I have a “stalker” but I don’t have rigid lenses the way other people do. She suffers from autism and so she isn’t able to put herself in my shoes. She has just become obsessed with me. I’m hyper-aware of the fact that she’s probably aware of how “omg I can’t believe how much I’m obsessing over him” and I just gently maneuver around that. It’s all digital. No physical contact. And I won’t do that. I told her I have a girlfriend now even though I don’t (by the way she already has a sir, yeah I know). I don’t have the heart to have harsh boundaries towards her. I trust my ability to socially analyse the situation well and not freak out and be a jerk like one of the normies would and probably that she’s been rejected by in the past.

Contrary to popular belief but please don't assume "just cos autism = zero empathy" it is definitely an individual-by-individual basis (sorry to assume, sorry if im wrong). But this perspective needs re-evaluation (as i hear it a lot too). I have diagnosed autism and i also have very strong empathy. Also, we don't "suffer", it is not a disease, (actually i guess we DO suffer socially to a degree >.>). It is incredibly difficult even for high functioning (i hate that term but its relevant here) autism to find people we are comfortable around and more often than not, yes, it comes off as obsessive. Takes us a lot of growth to understand personal space, some more (or less) than others. I was one of those people. I got very easily attached to someone i really enjoyed the company of. It can improve with time, but we need firm boundaries (with explanations if possible) to understand why we are overwhelming a person. It is very difficult to grasp, with limited social and life experience. I remember what i was like back then. It feels different for us. Its often very hard to tell the difference between romantic and platonic. Im old, had kids, and i still struggle with it.
But one thing you shouldn't do is lie, even with good intent. It leaves mixed signals. You don't have a girlfriend, tell her that but also firmly press you are not interested. Explain (insert her behaviour that makes you feel overwhelmed) and why and how it affects you and work with her to find a ground that's both healthy and comfortable. There is nothing more painful than "guessing" if this person likes me, might like me later with time etc, i think he kinda likes me... It goes with most people i would imagine. But sometimes what feels like a "crush" from the receivers end is just "this person is awesome" from our end. Rejection bloody hurts, but a shattered illusion can be incredibly traumatic. It is better to be bluntly rejected any day. I get each level of autism and person is different but usually those of us that have some ability to socialise usually have enough intelligence to understand... we just majorly suck at interpreting social cues! >_< but we will never understand them at all when people tiptoe around us like we cant understand. I dont expect everyone to overexplain themselves till we get it (yes i know, some of us are exhausting and on constant boot loops), just give us that chance to understand rather than assume we wont. It can be quite upsetting when everyone assumes we need to be handled a certain way though - it honestly makes me feel, less human when people do it. (Not trying to make my comment a personal attack, just trying to express it from an autistic perspective) On a valid and good note, i think its good you dont want to hurt her. I also dont know her, to even come close to gaging her level of social interactions, personality etc. Just speculation.
Trust me when you're really being stalked you'll feel their presence and oppression over you and you develop a sixth sense about them where you can feel their souls suddenly directing their attention and energy on you, you feel they're watching and focusing on you even when they're nowhere to be seen. It's like you feel this pressure and know they're about to do something and show up before they even do it, you wake up one day even after not seeing them for a while and it's "well something doesn't feel right today" and boom they show up hours or 1 day later.
It's like they're also psychically attacking you and you feel it big time because you start to feel super anxious and aware and the pressure and stress in your brain like somebody is having influence over it and trying to effect it. You become more immune to it over time but they can read you and feel you what you really feel and you see the evil grin even when they aren't smiling you feel their dark cloud.
How they mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and even cognitively effect you is terrible worse than anything anyone can do and you'll know when someone is effecting you this way. Don't underestimate someone just because they have a disability either i've been bullied by people with disabilities with personality disorders. There was even a girl that was deaf that suddenly went to the high school i did and i didn't understand a lot of things back then so i didn't get how to learn sign language, but she expected everyone to learn it for her and she started calling me names just because i didn't. I was even lead on by a guy i got too obsessed with who had autism it means nothing if they aren't hampered enough to not be able to understand what they're doing they do just like anyone else.

I have a question I’m a big fan of the channel by the way, but how do you as a medical professional keep your composure and keep yourself together because you do forensic psychology and you have a pedo or similar predator you have the case file in front of you the evidence is there but you still have to do your job. How do you hold yourself together in that snap on some of these people that show up in front of you and how do you decompress and calm down when you’re not working, I imagine this must take a toll.

Professions such as yours, any that involve two people alone together, including therapists of all kinds, social workers, care workers etc etc have professional codes of ethics to ensure everyone stays safe and there's no confusion, no blurring and no abuse of power.
