- By embedding ourselves in the Paladin’s central London office we will follow new stalking cases, literally, as they come through the front door. And be on the ground, with the Paladin staff, as they jump into action.
Paladin put each of their victims through a triage system similar to a Hospital’s A & E department. What is the imminent risk to the victim? What needs to be done immediately to protect them? Do they need to move home, install CCTV, change mobile phone, social media and email accounts? What have the police done? We see an action plan for both the victim - and the specialist team - pulled together.
We will meet the victims and hear their visceral and heart breaking stories of stalking being told for the first time. Each case will be different and each full of inherent emotion, drama and risk.
From Paladin’s offices we will follow our victims’ home and begin to build an emotional portrait of how stalking impacts on them and their family. Many victims describe the experience as like being constantly hunted.

In the case where the stalker hired a private detective to find the victims after they took steps to try and prevent the stalking and protect themselves, I think that at some point anyone who assists or enables this like the private detective should be able to be charged with an offense related to that stalking as well. It’s absolutely atrocious.

The private detective doesn't ask why you need their services, so they don't likely know it's for stalking purposes.
@boxesbinslids-thecube that's why private detectives shouldn't give out names or addresses. They should just say that they found said individual and that person is safe. Also, they should talk with the person that's being investigated and ask them questions. For instance, similar to a line up at a police station. Do you know this person, how do you know this person, how did the relationship go with this individual, and how did the relationship end with this individual, would you like contact with this individual. Private detectives need to protect themselves from being used in that type of manner.
How about they need to look into people before they start doing services for people! Like do an investigation on the person who hired you! You could be helping an abuser, a murder and don’t even know it! Hey but for cash a anything is a go
My stalker is on trial in Florida. His witness list has two private detectives and a handwriting analyst (along with 3 of his lawyers (whom he probably still owes money to) and his ex wife. Apparently, his defense is that I am lying about my identity and that somehow gave him the right to trademark my name and buy domain names of my name to sell sex toys. Hopefully this won't turn into a dateline episode.
How anyone doing or participating in this type of harassment doesn’t see THEY have a real mental problem,is beyond me.

I was stalked while in my phase 1 training in the military. Luckily, my first sergeant was understanding and secretly changed my orders across the country. My stalker and I originally had orders to the same base for phase 2.
From what i was told, he went looking for me at that base, but couldn't find me. Not long after, i got married and changed my last name. He eventually gave up.
It was ridiculous the military did not hold the person accountable.
If it’s a woman against a male you can figure out very quickly the military will blame the victim, I know as it happened to me, eventually I got my revenge, he was dealing drugs and I went to the Battalion Commander and not only got him sent to prison and several soldiers kicked out, and the Company Commander relieved of his duties and booted with a dishonorable discharge, They messed with the wrong woman, This was back in 1979.

Yes. Long-term stalking is made possible by the people who stand watching it all and laughing their heads off. Otherization of victims is a big part of the problem and profound prolonged otherization of perpetrators can even be the cause of the stalking behaviours.

My whole state is turning into the crime capital of the US because of my town and the stalker psychopaths that live in it. I'm surprised the FBI haven't shut this town down, they know about the constant crimes going on here, least of them the stalking of the victims. All they care about: harming victims, stalking to keep people quiet, recruiting more members and hoarding people, gaining wealth and power through illegal and flawed ways
Im a man and was stalked for years by a woman. I was able to get a restraining order after 5 attempts. The woman harrassed my family, cost me jobs by harassment....she tried to run me over and threatened to kill me and my family. She felt as if she owned me and i deserved everything because i wouldn't be in a relationship with her. I feel horrible for all the women but I promise you it happens to men too.... The police were zero help and their attitude was we will investigate it once she kills you.
It took me 3 times, about 4 lawyers. Now he’s been on trial for 18 months with 15 continuances with three supposed trial dates set then some reason to continue. The whole system is useless for victims. The only relief for me happened when his mug shot was released and all the local news ran the story, so it stopped.
I have been going through it for 5 years at least as a male. Nobody cares. My life has been ruined.
Same here. It's more than one on my case. They're planning to kill me and they follow me everywhere. Also, they live inside the same building. Chase me from Georgia to Connecticut. It gotten worse. Monitor my cell phone, block me from contacting anyone. They have a third party doing the same thing.
I have/am done ALL these ‘tips’ -Despite multiple violations of my Order of Protection, my stalker has violated so many times, I have moved, changed my job, my son’s school 2x & he still won’t stop. He’s destroying my life & nothing I can do.

My mother was being stalked and harassed in the early 1970's by a film director she had worked with.
We realized years after the fact that he was a schitzophrenic.
He had a wife and toddler. And his wife asked my mother for help.
The wife was at her wits end!
She and her baby were not getting enough sleep, because of this man's strange behavior.
My mother, who was separated, let this man sleep on our couch, to give his wife and child some relief.
If my dad had been living with us this never would have been allowed.
Having worked with this man successfully, my mom didn't immediately realize how sick he was.
And she honestly thought she COULD help him see the harm he was doing to his family, before sending him home to his wife in a few day's time
After many late nights, staying up talking with him,
then finally calling the priest to the house,
all with increasingly adverse results,
it became VERY obvious to my mother, that she could not help this man and he had to JUST GO.
But by this time his wife had gone back to her parents.
So he had nowhere to go.
He was unplugging the refrigerator, wearing mom's clothes
and washing his feet in the kitchen sink every time he heard the church bells ring.
Not to mention ranting and raving almost constantly.
But by this point, he had become VERY fixated on talking to my mother, trying to convince her of his delusions.
What a terrible, horrible disease!
Anyway...
I was 6 and did not like him.
I resorted to self help, taunting him while crushing his rosary beads under the legs of our table.
This put me in danger.
(OF COURSE never, EVER taunt sick people. Stalkers ARE mentally ill...I wasn't told much at the time. So please do forgive me. I am not the devil's child).
For my own safety, I was sent to a neighbor's house,
while mom worked to get this man out of our lives.
The police refused to help....because no crime had been committed.
So, the locksmith was called while he was out.
However, he continued to wander around, out front, calling mom's name constantly for the next month.
This is when a friend suggested she go to the local fire station for help.
We watched from above.....
as group of NYC firemen, who seemed more than happy to come around immediately, spoke to the man.
We found out, this was apparently an extracurricular service many firehouses performed at the time.
The Bravest of NYC explained to this man what would happen if he continued to make a nuisance of himself and our problem was suddenly solved in a way that now MAY, in some places, be considered "old fashioned" or "illegal" or a "violation of policy".
OH! The Good Old Days!
A VERY BIG THANK YOU to that group of NYC's Bravest wherever they are!!!
In the following years, we would see this man from time to time, with his signs,
running his one man campaign for Mayor of NYC.
I do hope he got the help he needed and his wife and child are OK?
But he never bothered us, ever again.

I was stalked by a guy I knew as a friend but he wanted more. He started when he found out I was seeing a friend of his. He followed me everywhere and knew my every move. He was a policeman and would show of his gun at every occasion. He stopped after a couple of months and everything went back to normal.

Im being stalked by this psycho lady and this has been going on for years. Its gotten to where I'm not scared anymore but furious. Cops are barely now doing something about it. She is always making herself out as the victim. I lost everything because of her.

I was stalked by a guy I was dating because he was moving too fast (wanting to marry me on the second date) and controlling where I was and who I hang out with and jealous of me hanging with my friends even my family. It got to the point after I blocked him in all social media and his contact, he found out where I lived and started showing up to my front porch and driving by or parked in my street. Luckily, my dad who was a retired police officer has friends from the police department (who knew me when I was a kid) and they managed to get a restraining order against him and he finally backed off.
What a wonderful team helping women in need! Much support and love ❤

People in need. There was a male victim as well.
The problem is much bigger than what Paladin can handle and there are even victims who cannot reach such services because of the security protocols (needed).
A relationship used to be connected to these cases and the police did nothing, the same with domestic abuse. Today it is different. All police need to give civilians who complain a referal where they can get help and support. A victim must be represented in Society . Great that Paladin Staff are there, we need more like them.

It's when a woman (for the most part ) fixates on another perceived rival or competition.
It's kinda like OCD except instead of germs or contagious fear it's a obsession with a random person that isn't living in a delusional state as the stalker.
But the stalker (pathological jealousy )thinks that the other victim is in the delusion reality.
Like it's misdirected insecurity and to avoid accepting or facing their insecurity they will decide its someone else's fault and you stole my life /man /attention to validate my fragile ego.
Basically it's easier to hate and attack someone else and blame them for your lack or perceived failure.
And it's completely pathological. And if or when it culminated they will find a new person to fixate on.

This video about Paladin paints a very rosy picture. The reality is different. That said, you can also clearly hear them say that they only help people in cases in which there is a high homicide risk. That's where it starts. Another example is that because of Paladin's security protocols, some victims can't even reach them.

I was stalked and assaulted i while I was in college. And, just Two days ago.. I noticed that someone from the last place I was at in college(city/town) someone had accessed my yahoo email account. They nearly took y life after Hitting me on the head in 2011. I live in the USA, so Stalking and assaults is every where!

Had a dude stalk me for 20 years, being friendly to my face while posting my website out to a bunch of haters, then continuing to bother me for the rest of time, needling me over seemingly minute details, taking comments out of context, constructing a narrative that in fact, I was the one stalking him. Because we exist in the same small social circle, I got ostracized from many groups despite not having directly contacted the person since 2005. He has even started bothering friends of mine for having stood by my side. It's terrible.
They didn't give justice to the women either. That Poppy-person got a SUSPENDED sentence and a little fine - meaning she was immediately let free. And for the lady with the CCTV - they never charged the guy, he luckily just stopped. Idk if "luckily" for the possible next woman though - I think these people only stop their obsession once their obsession has a new target.

I think the reason police in the US dont take it as seriously is because the US population is so much larger. There are many people in the US who suffer from narcissistic delusions i dont think the police have the time and resources to spend investigating whether you are just delusional or if your claims are real unless you have some evidence to back it up. Unfortunately, because the population is larger than the UK there's no way theres enough help for everyone. Also, i do believe Americans know how to dehumanize humans better than anyone. As for me, i believe with my heart of hearts i am being stalked by a group of people but it is spear headed by women. I think it is a group online who follows me and illegally posts my photos to a Facebook group that is private. But i have no proof. They continue to monitor my phone i can hear them say "she still thinks we are hacking her," when i never even said anything out loud to provoke this comment by them. How would they know what i "think" unless i told them or unless they were illegally accessing my device and seeing what i write to my friends in private?

I come out they get quiet or whisper an mainly come out when I'm in my home about to sleep one of them watches me somehow in my home and telling their friends what I'm doing who I'm talking to or calling or texting and I called cops made many reports but I need some action done
