This is my first guitar you guys just reviewed. Being a beginner I didn’t know half of the things that was wrong . For this as a beginner, I love it . It gets the job done. But 3 days ago I bought my first fender electric guitar for 740. It feels and so much more professional, heavier and looks gorgeous. I still am proud of my Amazon guitar though. Only been playing for 5 months but it helped alot
My first guitar was a, around 70$, fake givson that taught me how to shred around 12 years ago. So if you are a good guitar player, you can easily play any guitar cheap or expensive. And if you are very eager and very enthusiastic to learn guitar, you don't need a 1000$ guitar to learn
@@daravikkiremember it’s not the equipment,it’s the artist. I know pros who could make a $70 instrument rival a high quality instrument. I learned that when I was in my beginner stages.
You guys are great!! I’m 59 and would like to learn how to play a guitar. Due to health issues I can’t golf anymore. So I’m selling my golf clubs to buy a guitar. You guys are teaching me a lot. I’ve never played a guitar before. Electric not acoustic is what was recommended to me. So, while watching a lot of, you Chris and Coopers videos, I’ve learned that what feels comfortable to yourself in your hands is very important. I’m looking for a lightish guitar. Leaning towards a Squier or Yamaha Pacifica. But then I saw a review of the JET brand guitars. Have you ever played a JET guitar? Would love to see you both review it. Thanks guys. Keep doing what you guys do. Love it.
Hey man, seeing as nine months have past since you made this comment, I've got to know, did you end up getting a guitar? And if so, how's it going? Do you like it? Which one did you get? I'd love an update on your journey thus far!
@@ElliottsCreations Hi! GOLF clubs are gone. 😥.Yes, I now have 3 guitars. First, my son bought me a Bass guitar he found at a thrift store. Fender Jaguar Bass for $80. But didn’t have an amp. So, it was very quiet playing🤣. Then I bought a Donner DST400 HSS for $390 with an amp that would handle the bass as well. Beautiful guitar and so comfortable. The sound is so amazing. On a walk one day I saw in a thrift store window a beautiful acoustic guitar. It was a Garrison AG-200-RD. I did some research on Garrison guitars. Went back the next day and bought it for $175. Found out it’s worth about $430. So I’m setup with all I need. I try to play at least 3 days a week. Usually about 1 and 1/2 hours or 2 each time. Just having fun and learning at an enjoyable pace. Makes me smile. 😁❤️🎼🎸🎼
@@kbchef9205 That’s awesome! Glad to hear you’re having fun with it! Sorry about the Golf clubs😞. But you couldn’t have picked a better hobby to replace your previous one, in my opinion😁. I started taking playing seriously back in 2017 after having owned a guitar and not touching it for years. I’ve been hooked ever since, and as they say, the rest is history. You may be all set now, but give it some time, you’ll find another guitar that you have to have🤣. Keep rockin’ 🤘🎸!
This type of price range for electric guitars is so common where I live, a lot of people would buy a custom made 60$ electric guitar and stick with it, the guitar in the video is actually pretty damn good too.

True but $80 in 66 would be about $650 in today's money which is Fender Player Series Strat territory. In contrast this $140 pack in 1966 would cost less than $18. Wow!

Go into your Amazon app, click the hamburger button on the top left, change Country to Canada 🇨🇦, then search for Bison electric guitar, it's a $139 CAD 🇨🇦, Electric guitar in Sunburst only, it's a Bison Pro Sound, that's the brand. In the pic it has a maple fretboard, black knobs, black pickup covers and white pickguard. In reality it had a Pau Ferro fretboard (2018 during the Rosewood problem), white knobs, covers and pickguard. It had an okay maybe even great neck, once you sand the fret ends so it doesn't cut you.
I got a Lyx kit at Amazon last December. As I beginner ,I didn't know whether I'd like playing guitar or not so it was a good way to mitigate risk and limit losses 😛. Now I know I like to play it but realized how much it sucks - neck dives, strap sucks, amp buzzes like hell... I therefore have been replacing parts in phases: already got a new amp and am waiting for a Sire S7 to arrive (hopefully will get it by early fall...).
Thanks for you review, sadly I didn't watch it before I bought one. The amp was a nightmare with horrid static/buzz/feedback, and I simply couldn't keep it in tune. Lesson learned!
Bought a Glarry ‘T-type’ as a project from eBay. Cost £46 ($65) inc. delivery. No fret sprout (still, after a couple of months in a well heated house) intonation close(ish), clean strings but scratchy frets out of the box. After a fret polish (frets, surprisingly well installed AND level) and setup it plays very reasonably. Paper-light basswood body and prone to neck-dive (but fine with a 4” suede lined strap). Body finish: very good, neck: chunky (more so than my ‘56 Les Paul) but with a super light finish on a neck crying out for a sand - 5 minutes with some steel wool... smooth as (cheap) silk. But, after adjusting the neck relief, got a buzz-free 1.5mm Bass/1.3mm Treble action at the 12th. For the ridiculously low price it’s a surprisingly good guitar, although the pickups are totally lacking in character and the bridge plate, presumably due to the pickup route being misplaced, is about three eights of an inch too far from the pickguard, but good intonation still achievable. But ideal for an ‘open mic’ - do your stuff, chuck it in a corner, have a beer! 😬👍
I have one of these. Let me first say I know "F" all about guitars. I had to adjust the bridge to bring the strings down closer to the fret board because it came from the factory with the strings set stupidly high. A cute little girl at the local guitar shop convinced me to switch the strings out for some Ernie Ball strings. After those two mods I must say I like it. The amp is plenty for me, I just prop it up next to me on the couch and play. I don't really know how to play yet so buying an expensive guitar would be like putting lipstick on a pig. About the wammy bar. Real Finder Stratocasters have a spring that goes under the bar to make the bar a little bit stiffer. I found a spring in my spare parts box that just about fits.

Back in the days I got such a starter pack from Marshall. While the amp was pretty good, the guitar was so god damn awfull that I stoped playing after a few month because everything I fret just sounded horrible. These very low end guitars really ruin careers before they even start. Fortunatly I picked up a decent Fender a few years later!
I got the blue classical because I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for a classical, and it was actually pretty decent. None of the cracking or anything that happened with yours.

So what all do you need to start guitar?
Just get a gutier
Back in the days I got such a starter pack from Marshall. While the amp was pretty good, the guitar was so god damn awfull that I stoped playing after a few month because everything I fret just sounded horrible. These very low end guitars really ruin careers before they even start. Fortunatly I picked up a decent Fender a few years later!
me realizing it will never sound like this with me playing lol
I just got my guitar today and i already broke a string its a Yamaha but if you brake a string do you have to change all of the strings
help 😂
While you don’t have to change all the strings it is probably best practice to just change them all
hey, I made a gick out of an elixir package
I got the blue classical because I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for a classical, and it was actually pretty decent. None of the cracking or anything that happened with yours.
I hope that oral Roberts shirt is being worn ironically
Okay, so what about get a monoprice tele for $80 it comes with a gig bag, and a Nux Mighty plug for $70 and you’re out the door for $150 with a full size Telecaster and Amp, download a free guitar tuner and off you go.
