Imagine if we get Stephen Moffat back for some episodes in new RTD era... would be so sick
Agreed, he wrote some great stories before he took over
Hope so, as some of the greatest episodes of dw are written by Moffat during RTD1 ( family of blood, silence at the library, and the empty child)
@@InsideTheBox3 Paul Cornell wrote Human Nature and Family of Blood.
Your wish has been granted...
@@brewster_4 Boom was genuinely unorthodox too - induces curiosity.
Russell and Steven look like a comedy duo.
These men are geniuses. Wonderful, wonderful writers.
Thank you Mr Moffat for a thankless job for all those years of some of the best Doctor Who episodes ever written, and also some of the abuse and death threats you had to endure from morons and so called fans, Chris Chibnall will be the new punching bag for the fandom now that your gone, You will be missed sir
Steven Moffat was good, but too much of a good thing is bad. He was much better working as a back up writer to Russel T Davies. RTD was also much better at picking better doctors and assistants, as they were very relatable, realistic and likable. I have a hard time liking Steven Moffat's choices.
@@67Shadowreaper It was nothing to do with being under someone else, just the difference between 1 episode a year and like 7 + all show running tasks. His episodes as showrunner were better than RTDs as showrunner, it's bizarre that he gets negatively compared to his own work rather than positively to his predecessor.
Each showrunner picked one of my favourite Doctors, and both made good and bad casting choices for assistants.
@@LukasOfTheLight I liked 7B, but didn't like 8 & 9. Clara was really interesting under Matt Smith and the thought of them meeting her echos was really exciting. Then that plotline was suddenly dropped when Capaldi came in and she just became a teacher. I loved season 10, though. Bill deserved another season!
@@67Shadowreaper I’d like to respectively disagree. Capaldi’s era is downright legendary. Smith is where it got rough (6 and 7 especially… especially 7) but there were still a lot of bangers with series 5 at least being spectacular. RTD and Moffat honestly BOTH had a problem with companions. Before series 10, Jack and River were the only companions not from modern era earth. RTD completely abandoned the idea of picking up companions mid season after series 1 (and unfortunately Moffat did the same after series 5). Series 10 had the best TARDIS crew with Bill, Nardole, and Missy.
@@LordHeadcheez I’m sorry you didn’t like Heaven Sent and the Zygon two parters? I agree series 8 was rough, but Missy really shined as did Capaldi’s portrayal of the 12th Doctor (and it did consistently throughout his run with even bad episodes doing a great job of adding to his character development; it never felt like time was wasted in Capaldi’s era; there was always “something” to gain from an episode).
Want moffats passion for doctor who and russel to write it
Doctor who needs these two back on staff ASAP!!!!!
Just russell im fed up of steven he stayed 4 years past his sellbye date
@@EternalPayne sounds kinda entitled tbh
Well well well
@@EternalPayne you have willed it into existence xd
Boy have I got news for you...
holy shit davies is tall
I love these guys!!!
Bring Russel T Davies back as showrunner now!
Wish granted
god listened to you
A Welshman, an Englishman and a Scotsman walks into a bar is all I can think of here
Listen Moff, Douglas Adams plagiarized himself his entire career. You're safe.
So did Terry Nation.
Tbf do people care about plagiarism outside academic circles? If its just copyright unless someone brings a lawsuit its not a problem and you usually don’t sue yourself
Two months after the Doctor Who channel puts up the full interview - czcams.com/video/-JtGluXxx4E/video.html - Penguin books cut it down and put it up again here. Why bother?
both were great well Moffatt a tad too much at times but the fishfingers saved himA!
We do be forgetting RTD is a giant tho xdd
*One former and one future show runner!!!!!!
RTD = Class act
I feel like Moffat just felt crushed by the end of his run by a psychotic bullying woke corporate environment. He would never admit it because he has the sad eyes of a victim who sees no way out and just wants to appease people. But the fact remains that Moffat wrote some quality stories and really focused on some heavy identity questions around The Doctor.
Was he originally from The Land of Fiction? Does the universe function the same way since the many temporal resets and explosions of Smith's run? Is the transmat's exact bio-duplicate clone of The Doctor still The Doctor? Is the original dead? What does it mean to be dead when you can regenerate? What is the soul of The Doctor? What is that soul beyond his many physical shells? Is he the same man?
So many questions that you could postulate about.
All to be handwaved away with Amateur Chibnall's "YOU'RE THE TIMELESS CHILD" lazy retcon.
Where the hell can you go from here?
RTD better think hard about how he's going to revamp the show. He needs to bring back the core fans and needs to evaluate the priorities of the stories.
Please God....Bring these guys back....The show has been absolute dog shit since they left...
Rtd is a hack.
Rtd did so much better than moffat wish he would come back
@Amirah M people have opinions dipshit
you got your wish my man
You a time traveller?
