    I climbed this a few years ago - I live close to the ADK mountains. It was def an experience.

    The fact you climbed up the slide to put a camera, then down and back up again is crazy

    Holy crap, that camera angle at 13:23... my jaw just dropped. The way the camera is looking straight down at the two of you guys, looking like ants climbing up... that's just incredible! I know cameras never capture steepness with the same level of awe and terror as the way it looks in person, so I can only imagine how much adrenaline you got from setting the camera and then climbing DOWN from that spot so you could get the footage of climbing past. That... is freaking awesome. 👏👏

      Actually, it looks considerably less steep in real life - and in my photos of the same sections.

    Awesome video! Thanks for all of the great content you put up. I've been doing some research on this slide to possibly do it next year. Your video sure has some great footage in it. Thank for all of the extra work to double climb most of that!

      Hell yeah man. You have no Flippin idea how much work it takes to put some of these together. Lol and yup pretty much Climbing The Slides twice for the footage and camera staging. Trying to capture them as beautifully as I possibly can.

    The waterfall scrambling near the bottom and the herd path at the top both remind me of the T25s in the Great Gulf. How does the headwall of the Southeast Slide compare in steepness to, for example, the headwall of the Great Gulf or the climb up Six Husbands Trail?

    • @BrianHikesAllDay
      @BrianHikesAllDay  Před 2 lety

      I climbed the slide twice to set up the camera all over the place. Up and down up and down up and down all around town. You get the jest. A tremendous amount of work to put these things together the way I do for the enjoyment of everyone who shares the same passion!

    • @BrianHikesAllDay
      @BrianHikesAllDay  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks so much! Some slides I could definitely see the need for a helmet but not on one like this where it’s literally a slide with no loose rubble to kick down. I also have rules when I’m climbing slides with other people. No one below another person Climbing to avoid any rocks being rolled down into somebody else

      I wore my helmet there this past weekend. Brian, you say this is harder than the Airplaine slide on Wright ? I have that one to do maybe next.
