Yes, Abhishek is a legend in the making.. His pauses reminded me of the Legend MDR....I can't stop listening to the alapna where Abhishek pauses and still Begada continues to be heard.. a masterpiece!! And Akkarai's bowing is silky smooth and pure bliss!!
karnatak clssical music with bhakti bhavam gets soul enrichment and peace to everyone who listens to it. language in which it is sung is not the matter. all languages are just fr expression. muthuswami dikshitar expressed his bhakti in sanskrit. thyagaraja expressed in telugu. papnasam sivan expressed in tamil. so one should be music consious and not language fanatics

You are correct. It's kaisiki nishadam which is anya swara rarely used in the raga begada.
