Lyrics:
One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you, don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits, and you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar has given you the call
And call Alice, when she was just small

The 60s were a hell of a drug. 😵💫
*literally
It’s groovy bro
Happy 84th Birthday Grace! We love you!!
When you’ve experienced certain things, every lyric in this song makes sense.
I was listening to this when it first came out and it's just as good now. Talent this world will never have again.
I'm not a Boomer and I've never done drugs, but this is one of the most awesome rock tracks of all time. Grace Slick's vocals were on a whole other level. No amount of autotuning can touch her because it wouldn't have the character that her vocals had.
Theres nothing wrong wit shrooms bruv. ✌️
Feed Your Head!!!
She has an amazing HYPNOTIZING voice!
This song is like a fine wine.
Yasss
I've listened to it aallllllll day
Yup 🥴
True
It's really genius the more you ponder it and the lyrics!
70 years old and.. I started singing this song today. Helped my pain.
69 and makes me happy
74 years old . . . this song followed me around the world for many years, everywhere I went. Woke up this morning humming it.
72, I agree! Does help with pain!
I bet. This is psychedelic music!
I hear you..fellow Boomer...like, Jagger, has said..'what a drag it is getting old..'
Describes the 60’s perfectly.
Her voice in this song is so hauntingly beautiful. It's hard to explain
Sultry, smooth but powerful...in a word Grace's voice here is sexy.
@Bosco12 I think shes the best pure female rock voice ever. Joan Jett is great, Stevie Nicks in sort of a soft rock fashion but Grace is just loud shes capable of turning up the volume on demand.
@Bosco12 spell blind indeed beat describe it yes
She yells like crazy with lots of tremelo. Haunting, honest, amazing.
gives me CHILLS
Rip Wite Rabbit, Rip Bray Wyatt 🙏🏻🕊
LET HIM IN
LET ME IN
I will never, ever , tire of hearing this song. ❤
That ending though😢😊💯
Let Me In!
this song truly embodies its decade. there's nothing like psychadelic music.
Fun fact: Jefferson Airplane was formed at a music club named The Matrix
Life is a simulation

In my hometown (Athens , Ohio) in the 70's had a head shop that's sign had a white rabbit suited with a hat and pocket watch. The store was named "Down the rabbit hole"
Saw them do this in 1968-Carosel Ballroom, SF. At break in goodie bar, stood by her and she smiled at me! Now I’m 82!!!!! Guess it worked! 😎🥹🤪🇺🇸
Let him in.
thank you Bray Wyatt!! greatest character in the modern era. got goosebumps.

I just wish we had gotten to see more Bray
I remember a magazine in the 60's with Grace Jones and Janis Joplin on the cover with the title'The Queen of Ice and the Queen of hot'.Right on!
This is actually a brilliant song.
Listening for Windham rotunda aka bray Wyatt. Rest in paradise
R.I.P 🥺🥺🥺
When I married I moved to a very small town in Northern Ontario Canada.
The only bar had karaoke night once a week.
The only song in 3,000 I knew was the white rabbit...
Everytime I sang it the entire bar froze, no one moved, drank, shot pool or spoke until it was over, no one clapped either...it was like they were zll having their own personal flashback to 1969...
I love this song. It's one of my all time favorites, I can hit every note. I'm far better at imitating Stevie nicks but I have mad respect for Grace slick
Hey can you make a video of yourself singing this song and upload it on CZcams
I love the way you describe yourself singing and would certainly love to see you singing
@@ankitanant6000 we are going into a recording studio to do a few songs for a homeless protest against the CRD - I'm sure we will be jamming, so I eill see what I can do...

You should read the book, Go Ask Alice. It's not a fun ride at all, She dies at the end, a teenager.
Happy 2022. I wish all reading this a happy, healthy, wealthy and prosperous 2022 and beyond.
Grace Slick, the voice that launched a thousand trips. 🥰
1899 brought me here
What a song 🎵

Gosh!, I was about to graduate high school when this song came out. I graduated in June 1967 Always wished I had Grace Slicks voice.
You're not the only one, Michele!
One song incases an entire generation. Timeless perfection.
I was barely a teenager when I heard it and I can never or ever get it out of my mind. The guitar is wonderful.

What I absolutely love about this song is that there is no unnecessary filler, just in-your-face lyric and rising tension and that perfectly ends with heart-pounding climax.
This song never gets old 🌿🌿🌿
LET HIM IN!!!
Let him in. Let him in. Let him in.
Never heard of this song until Matrix Resurrections. Now it's stuck on permanent replay. Grace Slick's voice is hauntingly beautiful.

As an old guy hearing this, or hearing someone just heard "The Immigrant Song" in Thor, it makes my head hurt. ;) But glad you like it!!
It's a song about what drugs are like....if you listen to this on one of those popular at the time this song was made, it's intense!
Give a listen to Neptune the album by the Duke spirit if you enjoy this greetings from Boston ☘️
I love it when young people are introduced to older music

Bray is coming 🤭
The song is 💥
What a magical and unique era of existence that was the late 1960s. Highly unlikely there'll ever be such a profound period of love, change, and open mindedness again. If only it lasted more than just a couple years. Legendary song that will never be forgotten :)
What caused that era?
This song’s lyrics, are more relevant in 2023 than they were in 1967.
There are quite a few songs of the late 60s that are just as relevant today as then,.

We're here
Love seeing a new generation discovering this song. 😍
It was nearing the end of the hippy era when I heard 'Somebody to Love' off the album Great Society she was so beautiful then. I was abraw 16 year old then, I am now 65!😁🎧🎄🎸
I love the timeline we came of age in, but the Controllers had nefarious plans for us. The beginning of the break down of families.
RIP Bray Wyatt
It's Sad that he died in the Year of the Rabbit.
wwe had playing this song during commercial brakes at SmackDown and a recent House show something big is coming
Yep, Bray God Wyatt 🫠
You are my favorite singer. I wish I could see you. I just run out of breathe at the end. Gracie, you are the best.

You forgot Signe Anderson who died on the same day as Paul
This song is almost perfect as its only flaw is its length
Actually the short length makes you crave to hear it more... just like a good LSD trip lasted awhile and you will want to experience it again.
Try the original version by Grace's pre Jefferson Airplane band The Great Society. When she starts singing you can't believe it's the same song.
Agree! Wish it was twice as long
Not a flaw! An experience!
I just finished reading go ask alice for the first time and this song opened my eyes even more. Much love to both the Jefferson Airplane and the editors of go ask Alice
So glad my brain survived, as did my body.
I chase different rabbits into their rabbit holes. Being an engineer, (retired now), I was rewarded for chasing and following rabbits into holes.
First time I heard in BF Vietnam. Love it since then

It's about Alice going down the rabbit hole and having 'fun' with her friends. 🤣🤣 Double meaning.
I am grace slicks friend.....I love my friend and now my age is 139.....really I am proud of my friend.....jefferson airplane is a good band
Brilliant! The "Acid Queen" at her best!!! Thanks for the animation!
Don't feed your head with drugs but with spirituality !!!
This! And Alice in Wonderland 🐇
I was introduced to this song during my music history class in 2012. The Matrix brought this back to the fore of my mind. I'm impressed they selected this classic. Good for them.
I'm here for 1 reason and 1 reason alone...The Eater of Worlds, Bray Wyatt......RUN!!!
Thank you Matrix Resurrection for bringing me to this masterpiece of a song

The perfect psychedelic song 🎵 👌
Grace has the greatest rock voice ever can you imagine if she came out as a 20 year old today with a metal band, holy God.
She doesn't sing metal I hate when guys don't understand this type of female rock God🌟
@@CosmicKindness Thats a silly comment Grace could sing any rock genre. Metal would just be natural for her in the modern era since she is so naturally loud. Or a band like Soundgarden because she could easily sing those leads.
Being a millennial, I grew up with a family of an older generation who would always play these "oldies" from their days. I used to come back to this amazing song back in the earlier years of youtube, but had forgotten about it until recently. Thank you Matrix for rekindling my love for this timeless piece of art, and hello to all the new listeners!
Really Thank you Matrix 👍
We boomers had the best music , but didn’t always know the underlying occult meaning. We felt it though. And back then smoking weed or eating occasional shrooms was like a portal to the unknown, lol. A special occasion for a special song.
I was 13.
@@megwalsh7151 my mom was 13 too when this came out… I always felt I was born in the wrong generation ima millennial like the OP and my mom was a boomer
Go out and chase a few rabbits down the hole and maybe your come to the realisation that labels like millennial and boomer are just put in place to make people feel safe and in control of an existence that only promotes order through chaos.

one of the gréatest songs of all the times. Grace Slick is a angel.
This is brilliant, everyone needs to read "Go Ask Alice" which was a young woman's journal of how she got into drugs in the 70s. I unintentionally wrote my own version of that in 2007 at age 17 when I journaled daily, about 5 composition notebooks stacked up accounting how I got into heroin and speed to please a "cool guy" I was into at that time. Thank God I was able to get out of this without overdosing unlike dear Alice.
Wow thank you for the recommendation ! Can’t wait to read that book.
Hope everything is alright with you now !
Go ask Alice, which I read in high school in the 2000s, was actually falsified and written by a female psychiatrist, I believe. I was disappointed in hearing this.
@@PotterPossum1989 I saw that book in a bookstore recently, the way it described a glass tainted with LSD as the start of that gave me a feeling it was false… a glass of acid should turn you off to addictive tendencies lmao
So glad your doing good now ❤🙏🏼❤
