- I was kindly sent a copy of Angelic Beauties by Rachel Mintz. This picture was done using Base Paste and Prismacolor pencils.

Olive is so cute. She is turning a year old and is so naughty. I love naughty cats. She knows she isn't allowed on my counters so you can hear her jumping down as you come close. She also has a thing for my dogs tail.

Are you planning on make a video start to finish on how to use your paste in a background. Just not sure how to start a background with your paste, which I have made by the way. Love the results, waitng to for drying time to see if I can draw on mine. Being a visual person, I need to see thing done, before I can understand it better. Thanks. Oh, waiting for your cloud video, they looked great, just hope ist's as easy to make as you say, lol

Could you tell me when the Amazon basics count 48 will be in stock since you know so much about pencils. Your are amazing always showing us your talents. Love the song. Prayers for you and family
Basics come and go. You would have to check every few days. They go quickly but not so quickly that if you miss a day checking they will be gone. It all depends on when they get their shipment from China.
They are good pencils that mimic the Prismacolor almost completely. You won't tell the difference except for the feel of the pencil. They are creamy but not as creamy al prismacolor. I don't use them that often only because I have a large Prismacolor collection, but if I run out of a color I know I can supplement them with a basic and nobody will tell the difference.
Will there be a translucent base paste that can be used in a limited palette?
Actually yes there is. I created a blender which is basically just clear with a few extra things in it to help do edges. I have a ton of things I am working on, but I have had the blender for a while. I am trying it with a different oil this weekend. I like the formula but I want to see if it works with something vegan and less chemical. The new formula bumped it up quality wise from the commercial stuff I used out of china. I am actually making my own pastels and using professional pigments that have lightfast ratings. Only one company makes a good clear pastel and it's very expensive. It's also hard to get. The old formula works great on coloring books, but if you use it on original art you have to take into consideration other things. Since I will be selling the paste I want to only use the best stuff. I am going to be showing the whole process too. It's not as easy to make as the old stuff because I am actually milling the pigments myself.
