Marco said: Much more.... 4- New asphalt and weather algorithm 5- vr support day one 6- also out on consoles but no date 7- very long support to the game 8- ACC content and support surely until end of 2024 but no further info on 2025 (so that let's me think about a Q4 2024 release for EVO) 9- Marco said: When we launch the game, you will find out how much we are crazy...

@@johnny_blz I think many of it will be ported day one, look at the nordschleife, they decide to put it on acc, but in my opinion they decide to put it on acc only because they have to scan it for EVO, It's a way to optimize content creation and give people what they want at the same time.
I bought it to support them despite knowing the financial issues they were having. But like you, I'll not play it until it has native VR support. I tried, but in my HMD without Anti Aliasing it's a lego game.

Kunos has been watching how far the modding community has taken AC and it looks like they're stepping up in the graphics department. My biggest concern is just modding support, even if the default cars somehow sucked physics wise, modders can solve that problem.

@@danceoffAsh yeah, they went with unreal 4 for acc and it kinda backfired. standard AC can look as good or better with mods but running WAY lighter. I believe that they scrapped unreal exactly for this reason. the screenshots doesn't look that convincing, but I bet it will run marvelously. they wouldn't tout VR as a core feature of the game if it wasn't very well optimized. and graphics doesn't matter if the game runs like sh1t, so I'm excited
@@gustavogoesgomes1863 SSs look more like GT7 to me and that has got me excited. I only play GT7 with the PSVR2 and it's really good, however, it lacks the clarity in the distance. With EVO I am am looking forward to it giving that near GT7 graphics but on a PCVR environment, high super sampling and with better physics.
I really hope the sounds are better, specifically for exhaust notes and backfires. The sounds in AC were already great but they could definitely have a bit more help at the correct rpm’s and the low end
Please pleeease drive as good as AC1... im already happy with the graphics in AC1 with shader patch. I just want the sim to give us a goal to strive for. Like a well made single player mode or ranked multiplayer built in.
For me Automobilista2 is the most fun racing sim at the moment. The feeling on the track in VR is amazing. But it doesn't have any career mode at all (there is a 3rd party mod, but it's not well integrated) and since I only play single player I'm really looking forward to AC Evo!
Loving the screenshots, they have the clean look and feel of Assetto Corsa. It's not always looked the best but some games rely too heavily on Post Processing and it all comes out looking too heavily contrasted like Cyberpunk. Nice to look at but not that great for depth perception. AC is my favorite sim as far as the driving pleasure goes. OpenXR at launch is great news for me. Early to tell, but so far the little we've heard is encouraging & it sounds like Kunos are catering for the existing Assetto Corsa player base foremost - which seems like a sensible move considering it's got better concurrency now than ever.

Super happy i just built my PC this year and went with a 7900xtx! Based on these system requirements, I should be futureproof for may years for sim racing games and even MSFS2024. Can wait for these next gen sims to release!
The last time they did an In-House game engine, we got the original AC. Compared to ACC, it just feels so much more refined and realistic. It's also been modded to every depth. I can't want to see what AC Evo has to offer.
I definitely think that a Assetto Corsa 2 kind of game was such a good idea, since we all still play the og, assetto corsa. As a console player, better physics and graphics is going to be such a huge upgrade.
I was hoping that they would embrace the community by creating an in game market for modders to publish their content, charge for it and take a cut of it. That way elongating the life of the title and obtaining constant passive income whilst they continue to work on the engine and official mods (which would always be worth purchasing as they should be of higher quality)
@@AdamIsailovic Pretty sure AC1 didn't have comprehensive tools and support day 1 either. Mod support is a huge deal for me, but if it drops with enough good content then I can wait a while for that to spin up. Playing AC 5 years ago was nothing like the amount of support it has now in the community - there were plenty of mods but only few were great & a lot less people using them.
Great idea but I'm pretty sure there would be issues with car manufacturers regarding licenses and trademarks. Ferrari for example used to be very strict about customization of their cars in video games.
@@Z33slidez For sure. AC1 has developed solid communities in Discord, a cottage industry of modders with Patreon & a small dedicated following of streamers. I don't think that'll go anywhere unless AC EVO supports modding & then it's just a matter of time until it catches up. I saw all this in real time with ARMA2 -> ARMA3. Everyone in ARMA2 communities bought ARMA3, played the campaign & went straight back to 2, until modding caught up and then everyone jumped over a year or two later. Hopefully this will be the same, but it has yet to be seen.
I will wait till game is released and other reviewers give their opinions of it. It is nice the game is listed up on STEAM. It will have to have allot to it for me to get the game on release. I hope they add rolling starts or formation laps to the game. AC 1 does not have this. Like others, it is nice the game will have VR support. Thanks for the video. Take care
It looks fantastic, and from the screenshot, we can see there will be rain weather which is cool. I hope they keep the mod support, which made the AC great as it is now.
I’m worried about how my laptop will handle this. It runs on gtx but its processor is only an intel i5 (kind of a farfetch from the required i7). Although it runs the current assetto I have smoothly and really well even with the vast amount of mods I’ve installed in it. And as for storage space, not really a problem either as I have 200gb worth left. But just basing off from my intel i5 processor, will it be able to run as good? I’d greatly appreciate a response!
My guessing is that they had choose in-house graphics engine to better integrate the in-house physics engine from ACC. And the next step is to use the engine to upgrade also the ACC in graphics department.
I love ACC and feel they should offer two options. One for those who like all the cars and those of US who like race cars.. I can drive real cars in real life.. I can't hop in a racecar in real life
I really hope that Assetto Corsa Evo has the same attention to detail that Gran Turismo 7 has in relation to cars. I would love to have a PC game with real cars that actually look like they are real and not some Xbox 360 models ported over with slightly better textures. And a Forzavista mode would be great to actually inspect those cars.
That's gonna be a tall order. PD employs hundres of developers with decades of experience, Kunos are only 30 (I believe) developers. I think these still look amazing, but we'll see what they can do.

Yea it should be, all the VR simracing titles running on Assetto Corsa all run poorly and have a hazy blurry effect, should be all good with their in-house engine!
@@HDRGamingHub I mean this is a compliment , AMS2 currently is a beautiful looking game . But After seeing ams2 new graphical improvement's to be released soon , the track pictures look similar rain and shine . I don't really care too much about the showroom shots , because even fm8 has good lighting in the showroom , but on track is different story.
it's alright, definitely has some issues with smoothness. Often feels like there are micro stutters and jitters even at 120 FPS with no dropped frames and a ton of performance headroom left. Titles like AMS2, iRacing don't suffer from this.
Currently, I'd say it's the best sim in VR. I would probably have stayed with ACC for much longer if it wasn't an awful VR experience. I really enjoyed the driving, competition and community but after a year or so it became too annoying to play in VR. Looked bad and was a pain to navigate.
Honestly, I just want the multiplayer to be competitive. Yea, there is ACC, but that is locked to GT cars. I want a better, but more importantly cheaper competitor to iRacing. All my friends have moved to iRacing, and I just cannot afford to keep up. I literally only play it coz my friends do. If AC is not gonna compete with iRacing, then where do they sit in terms of SimRacing? Maybe just a casual driving sim? AC Evo needs a SR and DR system with proper series that make you want to compete.
I have to say that rendering looks slightly outdated. There are spots in the interiors that are much brighter than they should be if shadowed correctly, so probably no super detailed global illumination in cars if at all. Also on the Alpha you can easily see that the carbon spoiler has no reflection in the car body, so no ray-tracing or even screen space reflections, possibly just reflection cubes/spheres? Still, I'm super excited about this sim, and it's probably going to be a day one purchase for me, even if graphics are not exactly as good as I would've expected from a 2024 title. As for my personal 'wishlist' of things I'd like to see is some traffic/street driving (I doubt we'll see this without future mods though...) and hopefully a tourist drive mode, at least on nurburgring, where the AI will actually behave like they should in that mode.
Gran Turismo can't stand in a same sentence with AC... AC is sim, GT is sim-cade, AC with mods looks pretty good, even great, has tons of great cars and tons of tracks (you can even drive many GT tracks in AC)... GT overall has a bit better graphics (but I don't like GT graphics, it's 2 much eye candish, AC is more "serious" and raw), but in all other aspects (maybe not sound) AC wins any GT game. So if AC-E is better than AC + if modders can do as good job as they do with AC over time, no GT game would be close to AC-E.
@kanaziras ac is more serious and raw towards gran turismo 7 only to modding lol car models still the best in gran turismo 7 even in the psvr2 mode you can see manufacture stamp in headlight ,taillights other detail etc even polyphony digital modeled difrent exhaust pipe when you want to modify your car even the ability to change the front grill
Glad they're working on their own game engine again, as UE hasn't produced good results... I hope that they improve on two things AC was lacking in: 1. Competent game-pad controls (with haptic feedback). Yes, this is important in a sim also, and can be achieved without compromising the physics. 2. A robust single-player (offline) experience, with a GT/Forza style career. Online competition is fine and all, but a lot of people prefer solo play. I'd much rather return to a game that gives me a sense of progression, vehicle ownership and personalisation, than just online racing with a few lack-luster single-player challenges tacked on to tick a box. (There's a reason why Gran Turismo, Forza and NFS have stood the test of time, and it's not the online racing)
My only fear is that this new game will be much more expensive. Currently, you can get the base game for pennies, and then pay a few more dollars for things like CSP and a few mods. This new game may be AAA money (>$50) for the base game, and perhaps Kunos gets greedy and makes modding harder, instead making us pay for DLCs from Kunos.
We want Custom, and grid liveries names for riders etc like it had first ac,,, coop multiplayer and championship and with addition preset which team will crash or which car will broke down so creat good experience with my friends arso warmp up laps cool downs and safety cars and posibility to like do everything around customization, basicly me and my friends love to creat own cup own teams also for AI's custom championship number of cars choose lyveries etc.
Cars look lovely but road cars are not what i wish for.i hope they develop formula cars allow access for modders and increase number of tracks latest versin of nurburgring is superb .i just wish i could race my f1 cars on it.
Screenshots look pretty but graphics don't make a racing game fun to play. I'm more interested in their online features as racing games continue to be decades behind the rest of the gaming industry. Will it have a first party, built into the game, match maker from day one or rely on 3rd parties like LFM to provide that service again? Will they have casual and ranked races? Will they have basic online social features like in games friends list, voice chat, the ability to party up and race with friends? Are they going to have modes for the different types of online activities people currently enjoy in AC like drifiting, cruising, racing etc etc?

Yea it should be, all the VR simracing titles running on Assetto Corsa all run poorly and have a hazy blurry effect, should be all good with their in-house engine!

@@HDRGamingHub I mean this is a compliment , AMS2 currently is a beautiful looking game . But After seeing ams2 new graphical improvement's to be released soon , the track pictures look similar rain and shine . I don't really care too much about the showroom shots , because even fm8 has good lighting in the showroom , but on track is different story.

as i remember the original assetto corsa was great in VR
it's alright, definitely has some issues with smoothness. Often feels like there are micro stutters and jitters even at 120 FPS with no dropped frames and a ton of performance headroom left. Titles like AMS2, iRacing don't suffer from this.
It was/is, and with mods applied it's also graphically on par with AMS2, which is just amazing for a game that's almost a decade old!

Currently, I'd say it's the best sim in VR. I would probably have stayed with ACC for much longer if it wasn't an awful VR experience. I really enjoyed the driving, competition and community but after a year or so it became too annoying to play in VR. Looked bad and was a pain to navigate.

Honestly, I just want the multiplayer to be competitive. Yea, there is ACC, but that is locked to GT cars. I want a better, but more importantly cheaper competitor to iRacing. All my friends have moved to iRacing, and I just cannot afford to keep up. I literally only play it coz my friends do. If AC is not gonna compete with iRacing, then where do they sit in terms of SimRacing? Maybe just a casual driving sim? AC Evo needs a SR and DR system with proper series that make you want to compete.
I have to say that rendering looks slightly outdated. There are spots in the interiors that are much brighter than they should be if shadowed correctly, so probably no super detailed global illumination in cars if at all.
Also on the Alpha you can easily see that the carbon spoiler has no reflection in the car body, so no ray-tracing or even screen space reflections, possibly just reflection cubes/spheres?
Still, I'm super excited about this sim, and it's probably going to be a day one purchase for me, even if graphics are not exactly as good as I would've expected from a 2024 title.
As for my personal 'wishlist' of things I'd like to see is some traffic/street driving (I doubt we'll see this without future mods though...) and hopefully a tourist drive mode, at least on nurburgring, where the AI will actually behave like they should in that mode.
looks like they have a real chance to finally have a game that can go toe to toe with Gran Turismo for level of detail on cars and tracks.
Gran Turismo can't stand in a same sentence with AC... AC is sim, GT is sim-cade, AC with mods looks pretty good, even great, has tons of great cars and tons of tracks (you can even drive many GT tracks in AC)... GT overall has a bit better graphics (but I don't like GT graphics, it's 2 much eye candish, AC is more "serious" and raw), but in all other aspects (maybe not sound) AC wins any GT game. So if AC-E is better than AC + if modders can do as good job as they do with AC over time, no GT game would be close to AC-E.
The original Assetto Corsa already is way better than gt7...

@kanaziras ac is more serious and raw towards gran turismo 7 only to modding lol car models still the best in gran turismo 7 even in the psvr2 mode you can see manufacture stamp in headlight ,taillights other detail etc even polyphony digital modeled difrent exhaust pipe when you want to modify your car even the ability to change the front grill

Glad they're working on their own game engine again, as UE hasn't produced good results... I hope that they improve on two things AC was lacking in:
1. Competent game-pad controls (with haptic feedback). Yes, this is important in a sim also, and can be achieved without compromising the physics.
2. A robust single-player (offline) experience, with a GT/Forza style career. Online competition is fine and all, but a lot of people prefer solo play. I'd much rather return to a game that gives me a sense of progression, vehicle ownership and personalisation, than just online racing with a few lack-luster single-player challenges tacked on to tick a box. (There's a reason why Gran Turismo, Forza and NFS have stood the test of time, and it's not the online racing)

My only fear is that this new game will be much more expensive. Currently, you can get the base game for pennies, and then pay a few more dollars for things like CSP and a few mods.
This new game may be AAA money (>$50) for the base game, and perhaps Kunos gets greedy and makes modding harder, instead making us pay for DLCs from Kunos.
If it's as good as AC1 with modern graphics, physics sounds and whatnot, its worth more than 50 bucks

When you want good modern products you should be prepared to pay a decent price for them...
We want Custom, and grid liveries names for riders etc like it had first ac,,, coop multiplayer and championship and with addition preset which team will crash or which car will broke down so creat good experience with my friends arso warmp up laps cool downs and safety cars and posibility to like do everything around customization, basicly me and my friends love to creat own cup own teams also for AI's custom championship number of cars choose lyveries etc.
Cars look lovely but road cars are not what i wish for.i hope they develop formula cars allow access for modders and increase number of tracks latest versin of nurburgring is superb .i just wish i could race my f1 cars on it.

Screenshots look pretty but graphics don't make a racing game fun to play. I'm more interested in their online features as racing games continue to be decades behind the rest of the gaming industry. Will it have a first party, built into the game, match maker from day one or rely on 3rd parties like LFM to provide that service again? Will they have casual and ranked races? Will they have basic online social features like in games friends list, voice chat, the ability to party up and race with friends? Are they going to have modes for the different types of online activities people currently enjoy in AC like drifiting, cruising, racing etc etc?
That just looks like AC with a few pp filters kek xD
