Your playthrough on this game is far better then most of the top youtubers, because at least you play in zoomed mode so you can see whats going on.. Most just play zoomed out and you cannot see or learn anything from that. lol Thanks.

The thing I like about mercinaries is right after getting them (given these simple conditions, they are 100% healthy and in friendly territory) you can maximize their upgrage path nearly immediately! Plus thier upkeep is VERY VERY cheap! Unfortunately they don't upgrade very far, but having a 6 strength unit by turn 10 (if you're REALLY lucky but surely by turn 30ish) is insane! They don't get 'stripes' (I'd call that upgrade but... that definition is taken lol) but they can be led by a very few generals... mostly (AFAIK) just you but they are tanks for 60 to 70 turns! and even after they heavily outclass conscripts and are incredibly cheap to keep around.
So yeah I went a little bit insane when you just about disbanded your mercs lol. NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Don't know if you mention it in a later video, but you have not mentioned adjacency bonuses for building the same upgrade next to each other.

marking tiles...i think that mechanic is built into the game, although it's not as clear as i would like it.

I think I've activated it accidentally when I've hit keys trying to force a building - I usually then get into a mess trying to un-tag it.

The orders system puts the problem of choosing between optioins on a knife's edge. On another topic, i have seen several people claim that dealing with tribes just doesn't help much...i can't understand that. A few extra units is desperately useful.

They're not the best units, but they're useful early on. It's also a good way to reduce the number of units the Tribe has - you can then declare war on them and attack them with their own units! Love it.

I haven't finished the video yet so you may address this later in the video, but I heard if your spouse's opinion of you is more favorable, you're more likely to birth a child. Idk if it's true, but the worst that happens is you have a spouse who likes you a lot and is loyal to you--not exactly a downside!

I think you might actually be correct with that. It makes sense.
