They have to make prototypes, fly and test it, do more changes.....by the time they’re ready to manufacture, they’ll make dozens first for their own Air Force. This can take years, maybe even 10 years before they can deliver to PAF. Right now, they’ll make it appear as if they’re ready to manufacture, but I hope the Philippines don’t fall for the bait.

The KF-21, in its current Block 1 configuration, serves primarily as an air superiority fighter. It focuses on gaining and maintaining control over the airspace, effectively engaging enemy aircraft. While it has some limited capabilities, the emphasis is on air-to-air combat rather than ground attack or multi-role operations. The Block 2 version of the KF-21 is set to undergo testing in 2026. The Block 3 development phase is scheduled to begin around late 2028.
If we procure this, this might change our defense posture to another level. Even though it is still in development, we can support its devolpment by acquiring 3-4 squadrons. This will be a strategic deterrence and advanced capability upgrade for the PAF at a low price. Dapat bumili na tayo ngayon pang future proof. Bili muna ngayon ng F-16 second hand then 2025 pwede na tayong mag advance order para pagdating ng 2026 tayo ang isa sa mga first customer ng mga advanced air assets na ito. Interesting nga sabi ng AFP.

They still needed more test about that's plane! So what's happened to spare parts of the FA 50 ? Those planes are not going flying anymore with out those spare parts soon!
Better the Philippine airforce upgrade the FA-50a to a latest sensors, radars and equipments similar to what Korea offered to Malaysia and Poland..keysa bumili.. the life and capability of each aircraft depends to his advance sensors and ammunition not to a brand new units, a practical way the PAF should do now..

The F16 is great but the maintenance cost of those aircrafts are double the amount of the KF21. Those jet engines are anyways from successful GE and/or Pratt.

Ok by 2026. By now FA50 block20 muna for BVR platform. But if PAF is serious in quick acquisition... 14 brand new JAS39 Gripen plus 2 patrol aircraft is ready for delivery this year... 2nd hand but reconditioned f16, f15, f18 is also ready if there is quick revision of our legal procedures.
This is a good plane, I hope our country buys this one and not gripen or f16

That is not a full MRF jet, PH would waste money on that one. Better if you focus on looking for a real MRF jet like the Viper or Gripen.
