Although the Paris Olympics are just a few more months away, Sha’Carri Richardson still has a long road ahead of her. Meaning, that she’ll have to compete in a couple more races to make sure that she will be among the athletes representing the country at the Summer Olympics. So, how is she faring so far?
Sha'Carri Richardson had been eager to start the 2024 season and break more records. Well, she still is. Competing in Paris is perhaps one of her biggest goals this year as it would mark her Olympic debut. As most of you know, she missed the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 due to a series of unfortunate events. Since then, she claimed to be ‘back, not better’. If things go according to her plan, she will definitely be a part of the Team USA competing in Paris.
On that note, how high is her chance to make the team? To answer that, let’s talk about how she’s been performing so far in the season. You should know that the reigning 100-meter world champion was set to appear in her season debut at the Miramar Invitational held at the Ansin Sports Complex in Florida.

I'll pull for Sherricka or any of the young NCAA fans before Shacarri. But as crazy as she is, the girls got talent. 10.75, beat Sherricka and Shelly in the final. Not betting the mortgage against her. I would love for Julien Alfred or one of these young talents to win. But I got to wait for Paris

Apparently, you don't know what is happening with her training but she won WORLD 🌍 in Budapest and so what?!! She has to compete for US Olympic trials and that's MATTER!!!!
Last year I loved her because she finally shut up and ran and WOW!!!! This year it seems something happened with her just like a few years ago, not a bad but similar!!! I wish her the best, i predict she will make the finals in the 100m but might not get a open spot(I hope she does), but will make the relay....
Shacarri will come very strong. I hope she will break the world record in 100m.

Now she is under pressure. If she hasc2 more performances like the last 2 its possible she may not make the team and still hasnt faced premier sprinters yet so really the odds are not getting any better because now she will be facing stiffer competition

Most of the Olympic team trial qualification standard times and distances include the Budapest World Games times and distances. Any qualifying standard reached since July 2023 through June 11, 2024 will qualify athletes to compete to make the team at the team trials.
Sha’Carri’s issue is that she has a lot going on. She’s making money. She will be ready for Paris.
She to busy playing famous instead of doing what she gets paid for, it’s crazy that she is this late in her preparation especially in an Olympic year.

Sha’Carri needs to run a balance race in the 200m. She can’t give it away on the curve. She needs to work on her start in the 100M, getting out the blocks quicker. She also needs to incorporate the 400m into her training to gain more stamina in the 200m.

Last Olympics United States Tracks was unstoppable early in the year. Then the actual Olympics rolled around and they did terrible. Slow and steady timed to peak at the right time is the way!

I think many Jamaicans know in the back of their minds that SAFP (and their other sprinters like Brianna Williams) are still using PEDS, It's just that Jamaican jealousy of US sprinters gives them cover so they don't have to address the doping problems ALL their sprinters have and just focus on the "bloody" Americans. But, you KNOW the Jamaicans will offer up nothing but praises if Sha'Carri gets back in shape and starts dominating like they did last year when they acted like they were pulling for her all along, when they did nothing but diss this girl since she was a freshman at LSU.
