Not everything works out the way you want it to, but everything does work out the way it's supposed to. I hope that helps. my xmass was chill'n at home, made coffee as well.. did some flights on flight sim for my virtual airline ( think truck sim but for airlines lol).. yep just me chill'n at home..and back to work first thing in the am.. thanks for the update and your continued vlogs.. keeps me company.. also, not 'religious' either but i am a believer in Jesus, i just think the holidays have been taken over by secular expectations.. but not to preach.. merry christmas everyone and best wishes for every day, not 'just' the holiday ones 😁 And be safe out there all you truck drivers.. I'm not one, but I'll take care of you if anything happens to you in my area.. so don't make me have to do paperwork 😋 seriously tho, stay safe and thanks for what you do!!

I honestly got a litte stressed watching you talking about how you have all of these things to get done, and then your neighbour insists you to come over. I mean its great that they care, but i feel where you're coming from. I spent/spend the christmas alone now, and that's my choise. I could be with my sister and her boyfriends family this christmas, but they're in another city... and i cant deal with the traveling and being with so many people and kids i dont know... plus i go back to work tomorrow. Stay awesome and keep being you Shelby!

Isolating is not a bad thing. My kids are older and they have moved out and it’s quite peaceful and i was never a partier so i like my isolation when possible. Holidays are for kids to me its another day. I guess after spending Christmas in vietnam i like being alone. Its hard on me and i need time for my feelings. I do follow you and enjoy how you and Dakota like your alone time. My best friend actually my only loyal friend is my Siamese cat named Pearl. We just bond. Stay safe and healthy and well Artie 😊

Sometimes you need a break. Going to the neighbors and relaxing for a little while might be good for you.
A thought: try making a list of what you need/want to accomplish and the time by which you need to do each. Break them into smaller components, and check them off as you get them done. This might help you get the stress into a manageable state.
Then again, I could be wrong and this will not suit your personality. 😜

I typically get 4-5 invitations for Thanksgiving and Christmas but politely say no. Most think when you are alone - you're lonely which is not true. I prefer to spend time with my two dogs (Karelain bear dogs). Years ago, I created my own "Family Traditions" Three mile Morning walk in the woods with dogs, decorate an outside living tree with season lights, Small turkey cooked outside on the grill. Etc... Make it uniquely you.
