I cannot believe i have bought an Aston Martin Vantage! They are stunning cars and this one is a 2019 model, and whats better than that i got it for half its market value. Only issue is that its a non runner and its had a pretty bad accident. I actually found this car on ebay, turns out its a project someone else abandoned... maybe for the right reason. I'm going to need as much help as possible with this Aston Martin as its the biggest risk i have ever taken on a crash damaged car. But i have confidence that i can repair this!

@@roscomrc if you mean milage, agreed as Astons are not the most reliable and maintenance cost is high. If you mean getting paid 55k for the Aston, likely not. I made my comment because if the Ebay seller could have gotten it started and been able to sell it as verified running vehicle, he would have likely gotten more for it.

Great content. For future diagnosis for starting etc. if you locate the starter motor relay you can normally by pass this using a single piece of wire. Not a fix but helps with diagnosis!
Would love to see a video on what is your thought process when looking for these cars determining whether they're rebuildable or not.

You can scan it as an amg GT. Technically it's always been compared to it, both are sport grand touring cars with the same engine and same concept. Hopefully this could help.

£54000 , i think you got a great deal , when its value can be upto £100k easy and you will be spending like £20k-£30k max (hopefully) to fix this , looking forward for this build mate , all love to you and hwbt gang ❤️

Are crash damaged cars 20% less than market value? Or is different for high mark cars?
It's never ever going to be worth the price of an undamaged car no matter how well it's fixed. £54000 + the £17k spend.....he'd be lucky getting that back if selling, and that's not counting the labour put into it. Not knocking the car or the work put in but that's all it's worth if he's lucky....the wrap would put many buyers off as well, it's probably worth more to him as a keeper.
@@Patent247 I'd say less than that....30%-40%.....if you can afford a car like that you'd be looking an undamaged one.
Nice to see you having a crack at these sort of cars but yea with a £54k spend - at first look you will need about £15k of parts to get that back to where it should be - at ~£70k ish it is getting dangerously close to the price of a decent second-hand one or a really nice DB9. Not meaning to be negative nancy tho - good luck fella!
It turned out to be £17k in the end and looked fantastic but yes it will always be a cat S and they always make me nervous I’d never buy one but if I could do what he does I’d have one I’d rebuilt
16:07 Sub 12v is too low, for future reference. You're reading no load voltage, once you try and start it, the voltage will drop and the battery won't be able to supply enough current to crank the engine. Ideally you wanna try it once you're at least at the high 12s/13s

He puts out 3 videos a week, considering the amount of physical work he puts in alongside the recording and editing I think that’s more than enough. Like he said, the Range Rover and C63 will be going in for paint so this will be the main focus over the next couple weeks! 👍🏽
