Cleaned my truck every week. Keeping the room clean. Everything clean. It’s just a great feeling. Workout every day. Eat healthy. It’s just a great mental state.

When Peterson say "clean up your room", ok I can do that and that is fine. But that is the literal interpretation. So let us jump out of the literal; then "clean up your room" becomes: Set your thougts in order - Set your feelings in order - Set your whole life in order - Do all you can to help others set their life in order - Work and behave so the World gets set in order.

I feel like having Jordan Peterson as a professor would be fascinating. But his expectations of me would be too high so I would fail his class.

To be fair, he taught in Harvard. Expectations for everyone are high there.

The heuristic of annoyance as a speedometer of the magnitude of an unexpected obstacle to achieve a goal is valuable. Then the burst of emotions as a new maps of complexity arise as previously granted conceptions fail you was also great. Frameworks being that which allows you to take facts of the world for granted, and confirmed by the every step of progress you make using it seems also valuable.

Yeah, he's right when you're trying to navigate after a trauma experience. Walking into my bedroom right now is like I can't because the floor is covered in snakes

You know my room is shot because I've gone through so much the last 2 years with my husband and his car wreck and all that and it is a freeze response. You just can't do anything and I saw this and I told my daughter I said he just said clean your f****** room and I sent her the cartoon video and she about died so I've always had a really neat home and I've always loved where I've lived + being in this type of situation that my daughter and I have been in. It has been traumatic the trauma so I just the house we just moved from became awful. I've got to get up and make myself better and I know I feel better if I cleaned up that bedroom. It's beautiful. That's a little blue cottage. It's perfect. I just am so tired

    Peterson prescribes Action Faking.
But it's because he doesn't understand the United States.
Canadians mostly do have problems that can be traced back to a failure to straighten out their own shit.
But Americans mostly have other kinds of problems, and Peterson seems blind to this distinction.
If an American is working 85 hours a week to try to evade intractible medical debt and his room is a mess,
that probably reflects good priorities rather than bad priorities.
If that guy finally gets a day off after 5 months,
Peterson seems to say he should spend that day cleaning his room rather than participating in social activism to address the reasons why he needs to work 85 hours a week to evade intractible medical debt, which, really, are probably the ultimate reasons why his room is a mess.
No wonder the American Establishment loves Peterson's message, telling potential politcal activists to spend whatever time they can doing shit like cleaning their rooms.

dude this went way over your head lol hes addressing how we deal with problems that arise and how to correct our behavior towards those issues the room thing was just an example..

You are taking this too literal. He is just explaining how to map. Also not every single American works 85 hours a week.

Your working that crazy you need to find a job that pays more learn a skill that pays higher Americans bitch and moan about problems they themselves can fix but you go vote one matter than looking at the basket of false hood that’s on the sheets so you vote for the one false problem fixer at the same time you just voted against yourself in the long run Look at California tax them even harder now ppl are running from there but they voted for what they wanted it just had underlying negative things attach to it.
