INSTALL THE AUDIO CONTROL EPICENTER TO RESTORE BASS

- Installed the Audio Control Epicenter along with a new Crossover with a dash mounted knob, now with the epicenter I can add bass to a song that doesn't have any bass at all. This unit will filter the bass from any song played. If you want bass restored to a song then this is the unit for you. Just simply run a full range output from the radio to the epicenter and then run a set of rca's to your crossover or amplifer. #audiocontrol #bassboosted #bassunit #caraudio

This video is very underrated. I couldn’t find not one that showed how to install an epic and crossover to the amp ! I appreciate u my brother ! 🤝🏾
Thank you
Well daaaamn, that's a clean lil' setup. Love that the OG Rockford Fosgate still gets used. Salute
Wow that’s impressive. Upgrades are awesome
They have always loved you talking about speakers 🔊 over here, #LetsGoooo ‼️👏🔥📣👍🔔👌
Nice work !!! It’s neat and good quality equipment!!
Check out my new upgrades I did to the system in my new video

Can’t find any amp like the old Rockfords 0.08, 0.05 0.03 distortion levels is crazy
Awesome video man thanks 🦾
Clean set up!!
Thanks Kenny I’m still working on improvements
Sound test dropping today
Patiently waiting for the sound test!
I will do that for you
The sound test video dropping today
I'm running a planet audio two-way crossover now, for about 2 years pretty good for the brand
Nice I like your set up and the amp rack clean too .I got my epicenter under mines too but I gonna add a DSP .Maryland showing a little ❤ keep banging.💪🏾
This is the old look check out my redesign of my system now, wait till you see the changes I made from this video.
@MadballBaby check out my latest video
Wow this one did NUMBAS
Salute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice set up.
I'm going for something like this.
Nothing crazy but something nice 👍🏾
Just got a epicenter today had to make sure hooking up right.I have four Kicker L7 subs . Hopefully it sounds even better.
It's amazing what the epicenter does to music with little bass
@@djronthemechanic3695 Update ...The epicenter made my BASS extremely clear & hitting HARD!
@DJ Ron The Mechanic u should of put the epicenter on the crossover output
@@djmaverick8108 I did on the reinstall of my system, in another video I did. Check it out I made a new amp rack with new wire and cables.
@@djmaverick8108 that's what I did myself
I've always ran a Cadience Qxr 7 line driver with the 7v line driver, front, rear, & sub chnl eq but, having the 7v line driver really helps though, there are 14v line drivers as well which would really make most any amp pound much harder & allow you to turn your gains way down!!!! Technically, I beleive you could tune your 4 chnl & your sub amp off of just one of those crossover devices!. Are those computer fans???? I had to use a automotive fan for a while back in the day! I'm also interested in seeing your power supply.
Hey D.j. right now I have the stock Alternator holding at 13.9 to 13.7 when the bass drops, I have the big three zero gauge plus a XS power battery in the trunk on a isolator . I have plans on getting the new alternator soon plus sound deadening the trunk.
When installing an epicenter. Do not use a sub output off your head unit unless you can turn off the low pass crossover in the sub settings. Epicenter needs a full range signal to work properly.
@SG-Cichlids that installation has been corrected, I have a totally new setup now .
@djronthemechanic3695 I only mentioned it for people that watch the video interested in using an epicenter. I also should have mentioned that if your box is tuned high. Like 38 hertz or higher. If people don't know what their tuning if it's pre fab is probably 40-45 hertz. Do not use an epicenter. It can and more than likely will cause damage to your sub.
@@SG-Cichlids thanks , my subwoofer box is tuned to 33hz . I tried one of those pre fab boxes before and didn’t like the tuning.
@djronthemechanic3695 again that was for people that might read this trying to get some info on the epicenter. My son has the same box as you. It does pretty good. The only thing I've noticed is at rated power I had to turn the sub sonic filter to about 35 hertz to keep it from bottoming out.
How do you hook up the crossover with a knob with a rca bass knob together
Each equipment has its own connection
Do I need to re adjust amp gain after installing a epicenter?
Nope not at all
Is an audio control necessary if you run an aftermarket head unit? I keep reading how the epicenter keeps adding a white noise to systems.
It’s an option I haven’t had any problems with the epicenter, this is my old setup. I’ve changed my setup since.
Love your setup..
Thanks John T , you gotta checkout my new setup. I done totally changed it since this video.
Hey bro switch the bass input on the crossover to rca....u have it on sum it won't be powerful .... nuff love
Thanks Kurt I’m in the process of rebuilding my system now , it’s just time delays waiting on deliveries. I have a video uploaded showing me doing a take down of everything in the trunk.
I have the same soundstream I want to change to the epicenter, we'll is there a big difference in sound?
With the Soundstream it did its job with the subsonic filter set , but AudioControl equipment is worth it. It puts bass back into songs that don’t have any.
Good morning, bro, will you have a diagram of how you connected the epicenter and the crossover? If it is an original stereo from a 2016 Nissan Murano, then I will connect a bass amplifier and a voice amplifier.
If you are using your Factory radio , I would suggest using the AudioControl LC2i Pro 2 channel line out converter. The input will come from the speaker wires from the rear speakers to the converter. The converter will have a main and bass output, this will allow you to connect 2 amplifiers.
Is your subwoofer enclosure in this video sealed, or ported? And if its ported, what is the tuning freq.?
I have a new ported box that is tuned to 32hz
@@djronthemechanic3695 If you are running rated power, or less, to your subwoofers, in your 32Hz tuned enclosure, i think a 25Hz pfm module would be a great match. What do you think?
@evilinside5984 worth a try
Did the old bass pocessor have a bass knob?
The old one had a knob but I never use it
Nice set up, like the fan set up,I'm having a little trouble getting my system set up I have an EQ,epicenter , crossover and 2 amps in what order should I set them up for the best bass any help please?🙏
Radio, epicenter,crossover , amps.
@@djronthemechanic3695 so no eq?
@@josebarrera3548 my bad I was typing to fast, Radio,Epicenter,EQ, Crossover and Amps.
What headunit are you using?
My setup is Radio , Epicenter, Crossover, Matrix Plus, Amps.
Is it epicenter first then matrix plus or the other way around? Or are they not together?
I have the matrix plus first then the epicenter.I have a full range coming into the matrix then sending it out to the epicenter for the subs
The correct way is Radio , Epicenter, crossover, then amplifier
Your crossover sub output is running to your mids and highs amp or mono amp?
I have a 4 channel amplifier and a mono amplifier
That setup you see now it’s been changed since then
So was it much better than sound stream? youtube search sucks I cant find the next vid on it
Yes its way better than the sound stream. You can buy different low pass filters for the epicenter to change the cut off frequency for the bass. Plus you can custom mount the remote knob.
@@djronthemechanic3695 Nice I gotta get one soon.
So do I run my RCAs from the sub output from the radio or should I run the rear outputs to the epicenter???
Use the rear outputs , make sure that the rear outputs are set to full range
@@djronthemechanic3695 thanks!
Did you know that the same Chinese people who make the Clarion,SKAR,Timpano and a couple more are same crossover.
I mean, Timpano is a budget brand, don't expect the best build quality
I’ve changed this setup since this video more upgrades still on the way , it’s a slow process.
👌🏽
A Timpano???
Yes that’s what I picked as the crossover the clarion that I wanted was sold. This unit is not that bad for the price.
I always thought epicenter goes after crossover
I thought so to but nope check out the diagram on Audio Control Website it shows a picture of different systems
I need someone to make a video how to run the crossover to the ambit center to the battery to the amp
Ok I’ll see what I can do for you on that.
@@djronthemechanic3695 thanks
@@djronthemechanic3695 because I'm trying to figure out how to run the crossover to the epicenter to the amp
@@meak-2-timezstephens25 your rca from the radio not the sub output, connect to the input on the epicenter, then the output from the epicenter goes into the crossover. Then from the crossover to your amplifier.
@@djronthemechanic3695 when I go from the epicenter to the crossover will it be input or output
Got enough knobs bro?
Naw I need all the control
You aren't supposed to run the sub output into the epicenter input
Hey when I first bought this unit the Technician at Audio Control told me to run a full range output from the radio to the input of the epicenter and the output to my crossover. Besides this setup you seeing is old check out my new audio setup.
U can run the subwoofer out from the head unit to the input of epicenter. When u do that, make sure u max out the low pass digital built in crossover that is in the head unit. If u don't do that then the epicenter will not work properly.
@emmanuelhumphrey3701 It depends on your head unit. I have a Kenwood dmx 1057xr that gives me the option to run a full signal through the sub output.
@@drjd2real well I guess u got it right then .
@emmanuelhumphrey3701 Yeah, at the time I assumed I didn't have that option because a lot of radios don't let you do it on the sub out
I just run a crossover and the other stuff is a waste of money.
Naw that use to be my very first system, I go beyond that.
@@djronthemechanic3695 okay
Hey Derrick trust me this system sounds good and believe me I had a lot of different system setups
@@djronthemechanic3695 I believe you .I see what you have hooked up.
Yep.. you should retire that skarbage.
I haven’t decided on what my next set up is going to be.
No need for brand shaming.
