Lol the lady that is screaming is my grandmother. Bless her soul. She's been gone for about 9 yrs now. Margaret jo lee
+ceara nicole She was pretty.
Did she tell you anything about her experience being in the movie?
Yes she did. She loved being with the movie stars. She was actually sick at the time I beleive. She didn't know she had lupus. She always use to tell me stories. I came out looking just like her. Lol
+ceara nicole And I can see that is definitely a good thing :-)
Ceara Nicole I came to comment and seen this. And it's blowing my mind to see this , I'm so sorry for your loss she was very pretty. Did your grandma die from systemic lupus? I have lupus myself. Just say... I just see this is 3 years ago OMG
That is brilliant. Your Gran in the first ever Kathleen Bigelow movie. You must be so proud. Willem mentions is the DVD commentary that the heat was unbearable. Must have been hard with her lupus.
Damn look how young Dafoe is. jeez...
Brilliant film. Bunch of us in London saw it when it was released and off came the zoo suits and on came the leather and quiffs.
Bollocks, zoot suits !
Saw it then also in London. It was playing with " Scorpio Rising " by Kenneth Anger . Kept my zoot suit for the Beat Root and the WAG club .
@@gosforthlad I had a Chris Sullivan suit. Pale blue with a chalk stripe. Beautiful. Trousers pretty well went up to my neck. Also a houndstooth from the Foundry, which looked fine if I stayed standing but as soon as I sat down it crumpled. A sack of potatoes looked better.
@@stevethirteen9579 got my clobber from Flip and Kensington market . Was the Foundry the Newcastle company ?
The Loveless Trailer 1981 1132am 17.8.23 ahahahah.. i saw this as part of a film season on BBC2 many years ago. i had it, the loveless, on vhs. trynna get it on dvd now. it was hailed as an archetypal fag film.. dunno about that. whereas others saw it as a sample of american pop culture and the lost post war generation...refer to drinks dispensers and motorcycles etc... and the obvious references to wild one. all i recall is a lagging script and the guy with the crew cut getting bubbled in the bogs (ie: the toilet) after it was discovered he was wearing women's underwear... and then a fist fight. p.s i came here after realising sandy nelson drumming skit was featured on soundtrack. had totally forgot about it until that moment just now... so my forays into purchasing said film on dvd weren't that extensive... but it remains an interesting moment in cinematic history.
this is a wonderful film! early Dafoe is always fun to watch any fucking ways!
This was a welcome to the 80s
Never knew that the Green Goblin was a Greaser when he was younger.
🤣
XD
You should watch ...streets of fire then !!!!!
Grease Goblin
plays another one too in Streets of Fire
Young Willem Dafoe looked like he belong to be in The Warriors 😂

'kin hell they did steal a lot from me... as for defoe. he was kindda clammy and distant. akin to the guys in that other biker movie rumble fish. all these distant types looking into the err distance... and being deep and meaningful... still; another decent film... his characterizations have warmed somewhat. we did see a bit of the old dafoe during the film the lighthouse but as he's now been seen in a spiderman movie or two - he's kindda mainstream now. bah! humbug!!!
One of my all time fave movies. Love the soundtrack too.
Basically a low budget ' Easy Rider ' set in the 50's. Cult classic as soon as it came out .
Rest in peace Mr Gordon say hello to Danny Gatton and Link Wray for us.
Dude I thought it was so cool Robert Gordon was in this
That's the reason my then girlfriend and I went too see it in Edinburgh when it came out. We saw him with Link Wray live a few years earlier... great gig.
on of the best movies i saw
I have never heard of this one before 🤔😁✌

+Mad Dog Hey cat all those guys hating you aren't me they are imposters
Robert Gordon
"They were just passing through ..."
On their way to join the Misfits or something.
"We're going nowhere.........fast" was that perhaps a streets of fire reference?
This movie came first Battle Born.
I love Streets of Fire. Own it on bluray!
I wonder if this is tied to Streets of Fire? Going nowhere fast is in the movies song lyrics.hmm
American horror GOREY
It has been mentioned that the character of Vance was continued as Raven in S.O.F.
WHY DON'TCHA TELL ME YOUR NAME?
Streets of Fire is one of my favorites. Own it on bluray
Wow this seems like a precursor to Streets of Fire...
You got anything???😎😎😎
What is the tune being played??

Fast.
Is this set in the 50s or 80s?.
50’s
It's an 80s movie set in the 50s.
@@Deader87
Oh, that explains it. Kinda?.
Yep, it's 1950s but seeing through 1980s lenses if that makes any sense?
Major spoiler...
This is so corny!
Wish they didn't kill DeFoe at the end
Monk Bop try watching the movie
