Every knife is like a painting on an art canvas. Some knives are just unique.

I have two Work Tuff knives ,and I was truly blow away. The quality control on my knives was perfect. I can not believe they sell for the money they go for.

I don't own any half faced blades, but I am cheering for them because they are a veteran owned company.

@@AlaskanFrontier1 yea that's what you said and I agree they are fine and have good materials and will get the job done but just seem like they don't quite finish the job.. maybe they want the rugged unfinished look even the cutout holes in the scales were sloppy.

What knife sharpening system(s) do you use for all of your knives? That would make a good video.

Excellent video thanks Brother. I don’t actually own a traditional bushcraft knife (except a small Norwegian Sami knife which is more of a small game processor). My survival set up is not dissimilar to your CR Pacific. I tend to carry either a SOG Navy Seal 2000 or lately my Fallkniven NL2 Bowie. Combined with a SAK and folding saw. I do like the look of the traditional Bark River type survival knives but one of those would make my NL2 partially redundant. A NZ manufacture SGW Knives makes some nice bushcraft blades I might buy one day. But Like a 300 mag vs a 7MM mag lol. Money is an object. I do like the idea of a combination of small bushcraft blades and something that can chop or saw. Not sure of the 2 faced blades. Look a bit overpriced. Still would work fine though. Cheers Dave 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

That’s a totally fair assessment, I appreciate the feedback, and glad we have similar setups. I feel like it’s overall pretty well rounded

Always appreciate your content and opinions. I don't have any experience with HFB, but several points you made, I have also said about some Tops knives. Slab handles and poor ergonomics. I've become a big fan of Lionsteel

LionSteel does offer a lot of really good value and their ergos are always on point

From looking at the fit and finish of this brand in this vid it seems like they should be called half assed blades.. But I'm sure they will get the job done but for the price yea I would want more refinement.

I completely see you perspective and agree with some aspects on the other hand as a carry knife I think the thinner stock flatter scales and lighter weight are all pros I also like that they are using premium pm steels although I don’t feel that they are using the correct steels for the models they make that being said if they would make the crow scout in 3v or better yet if they would pick up cpm m4 or maybe cpm cruwear I would definitely purchase one even though I feel they’re a bit overpriced

For survival, I like to carry two knives. A large chopper and a mid-size blade.
I prefer the higher end knife makers for my “survival” knives. It’s like I tell people “you must decide what your life is worth when considering a survival knife”.
I prefer TOPS, but also like my Bark River knives. ESEE is a reliable company, and even some Becker, Ontario, and Condor knives I would be happy with.
I like the simplicity of your HFB’s. But I don’t think they could replace any of the knives I already carry.
