I think this palette makes so much sense for colourpop. They needed it in their line. I don’t personally need it for my collection, which doesn’t mean I won’t eventually pick it up 🙄 but I find it so weird that people get annoyed with each release and act like that 100th neutral or colorful palette they release is not a good release because they already have the shades. Let’s just remember that normal people don’t buy every single palette they release. I personally don’t know anyone besides myself that has more than a handful of palettes. I love collecting them but most people don’t see the point and only grab a few they really think they will get use out of it. Anyway, my point is is not for you but it is for someone else and that’s ok.
Absolutely agree! Someone will find a way to be be incredibly mad no matter what they release 🤣

Colourpop releasing this colourful matte mega palette as well as that neutral matte mega one they did a little while ago actually makes a fair bit of sense when you consider the way they have really returned to releasing super sparkly super shocks. You could really build a streamlined eyeshadow set with the 2 mega palettes to cover off all your mattes, then choose your SSS for shimmers
Did you know that Temptalia challenged Colourpop to make this palette, and they did? It’s kind of cool. Thank you for doing this video and all the comparisons.
Yes! And now Temptalia has challenged them for a full shimmer with duochromes palette, let's see if they do it. Crazy how much influence a reviewer can have lol
I'm not going to buy but think this is a great way to do a rainbow palette. If you want shimmer just add a sheer topper and you're done! Love how they took each individual cover pastel to jewel toned deep. Nice job CP- but remember folks there will be a sale so if you can wait you'll get an even better price. I got my it's a mood palette for 30% off!
Gal after my own heart. I’ve learned to wait and go through my CP wish list only when they have the 30% off sale. Happens at least every 3 months. If you want more than 1 mega palette then they run a buy 2 and get them bundled for half off every so often too. I personally only have the It’s a Mood mega palette but it’s a good one!
The love the palette and the color variant/variety. This how a Rainbow palette supposed to look. 🤯🔥 They killed it.

I'm in the " this is the rainbow pallette I've been waiting for " camp. I never bought Fade Into Hue because of the abundance of glitter (including all the matte with glitters) and shimmer shades.
As you mentioned, it's hard to find palettes where the colorful shades are matte, so this is what I've been waiting for.
Omg I remember when colorpop put on fb story share with us what big pallete we should do next and I said an all matte colorful pallete 😭 they do listen 🤣

Amanda! Though I do hv TONS of very colorful palettes-frm many brands(big & indie brands), incldg full matte palettes-there IS something about this palette that makes me want it as an ADDITIONAL/ADD to othr palettes. The price alone is enticing. I didn’t pick up for instance, the J Charles rainbow pigment palette, or a few others, from brands I do not support. This palette, if your pocketbook allows, looks like a fun, addition to one’s collection (despite some redundancy-nice hving all in one place). I hv TONS of toppers & shimmers & occasionally, I’ll need something to add dimension to outer 1/3 of lid-not included in most pastel rainbow 🌈 palettes-which I DO love. For example, Violet Voss’ ‘Sugar Crystal’ palette (years old) is super fun-but a perfect example of a palette where I often want a deeper hue in a color. I DO probably already hv it-but ALSO being a makeup addict, (w/ SOME restraint) esp re Colourpop, however, this particular palette looks to be one I will probably take a chance on. From their brand I usually purchase matte singles anyway (or blush & bronzers), making custom palettes. I also am a sucker for the SuperShocked line-& thanks to your HELP on learning how to re-hydrate the pots, as they in fact, dry out quickly-I even do your paper towel finishing ‘trick’ - somehow so satisfying 👍🏽💕-their shelf life has increased! (another great product, only available directly from their website, & rarely reviewed, but works like a DREAM, is called “Moon Mousse”-not pricey 💰) will salvage all crushed powder pans, sends 4 tools to re-form ‘mess’ of shattered product-AND re-hydrates SuperShocked pots too!✅⭐️ Products ‘dry’ to be JUST as normally intended to be! The website is: www.moonmousse.com. There’s not much else I pick up frm CP that I don’t regret purchasing/or is redundant to something in my large collection. I really REALLY enjoy your unbiased reviews, great photography (IG), & looks you create-which are definitely always in ‘YOUR STYLE,’ but still super enjoyable to watch. My favorite vids are when you take a chance on a color you’d not normally pick-& you love the outcome. IMHO, you could pull off literally, ANY look you wanted to try, & be fabulous. I'm glad there's no glitter or mattes with glitter in this palette, but having most of their palettes this is not for me. Thank you Amanda for the in depth review love your face, and your arm!

I just recently got the Fade Into Hue palette but gosh is this one so prettyyyy. The two bottom rows are not for me though, but I know a lot of folks love having darker shades to add depth to their looks.
I've got Fade into Hue, Play it Jewel and also It's a Mood so I don't know that I need this one. But it's really a great all matte palette.

I’m really excited for this palette! It’s different than the other recent stuff from CP and a great compliment/pairing to many of their other palettes. It’s also nice that you can go bright or grungier.
I love how they set this up. The perfect rainbow palette for beginners or anyone that just wants to add color to their collection. I have the blendbunny blends palette so I don't need this.
would love to see you remixing colourpop mega palettes by switching out the shades!! same could go for their other sizes too of course lol

It's a cute palette, definitely not for everyone but if I'm going for a rainbow palette I'd prefer "Fade Into Hue" because when I'm doing colorful looks I like to use shimmers and glitter.
I’d swear I already have this one from years past. It’s still so pretty.
I'm drawn to this, I like the simple layout that groups similar colors together. I like to divide my shadows by finish because sometimes I have a hard time telling if something is shimmery in the pan (probably means I need better lights).

The colors I’m missing the most are the greens and some blues. But I do have It’s a Mood, and some 9 pans with greens/teals/blues that you didn’t compare. So I’m fine. I do think this is a great palette for people who are starting their collection or just love mostly mattes. My only criticism is the lack of red.

A pastel yellow, finally! I felt like they've been avoiding that color, it's always a bright yellow or a shimmery pale gold, but not exactly pastel.
I personally don't own Big Poppy or Lil Ray of Sunshine, so it's nice to see this palette totally dupes those ones because I am definitely purchasing Matte about Hue!
I like this setup better than fade into hue. The glitters in the fade into hue I never use. So I feel I would get more use out of it.
This palette is so beautiful! I ordered it and I can't wait to play with this palette 😍 I actually ended up rearranging my Fade into hue palette a couple months ago and the layout is very similar to this one.

I think this palette is nice, however the comparisons made me realize that I like the Fade into Hue and Surge palettes better because they have a combination of mattes, shimmers, brights, and grungy colors. Lol, so after your video I ordered both.

I don't have a CP mega palette yet, I aim for shimmers and don't wear mattes much but I may pick this up later on sale to take apart since CP's pallets do that easily. I would not likely use the orange or yellow rows and only maybe the bottom 2 greens but there's something really nice about the tones of the purples & pinks & the darker blues.
Not my thing, but I feel like this is a good release from them. I also adore the punny name for the palette! I agree- brushes are the way to go when applying mattes.
This is great for beginners I have some slated for my nieces who asked for eyeshadow.

This was super helpful in convincing me not to buy it, so thanks for saving me $30 lol. I adore the fade into hue palette and I'm rather disappointed that all of the jewel tones are in this palette. I would have preferred a matte pastel and bright palette without the darker tones.
Oh how lovely this was something so simple I always wanted a nice quality mate colorful shadow palette like this but now I'm an old lady and don't do as many colorful looks. I do need a new palette though I haven't bought one in forever since I got bored with makeup during the pandemic.
Colorful looks are for anyone who wants to wear them in my opinion! If you enjoy it, you are the right age for it 🥰
@@MakeupJustForFun yeah I guess it's more related to my job than age, I'm a stripper so gotta do what the guys like and they don't like the colorful looks as much as women do. I have to do that like neutral glam kinda thing at least that seems to make more money. At least the majority of guys seem to prefer neutral on me 🤷🏼♀️ but I would do more color if I worked a different job.

This is very pretty! There's a lot of colors that I don't think I would personally wear but it is very nice. Thanks for all the purple comparisons especially! I wish we could get a smaller palette with more blue-based purples. Colourpop doesn't already have one correct? They tend to lean more towards the red-based purples.
You are so welcome! They do tend to do more red purples but All Amethyst and In a Trance are the only ones that come to mind as being more blue based for me.

Was looking to get the beauty bay matte and then this got released😅
Well I wanted to get the palette until 1.) I found out there were four shades that are not safe for the eye 2.) The colors are just a little muddy throughout and not as bright and vivid as I'd hoped. I don't necessarily want something seriously bright but I was hoping for a little more color especially with the pink and the purple...
Are the mega palette the same size as so jaded? I only have so jaded.
I really need to learn to be patient...I spent the last week looking for a palette like this because I didn't have one and ended up buying 2 different palettes to have these shades.. if I'd just waited... 🤦♀️

I'm definitely in the "not again" camp. 90% of these mega palettes are really not for me. Pretty though.
My honest opinion is they saw blend bunny blow up and everyone raving they felt the need to try to hop on that grungy yet bright rainbow bandwagon. Because swear they had all this time to do it themselves.

Honestly thank god, I'm so sick of sifting thru rainbow palettes that take up all this space with shimmers I don't need or want. I just want many different colored mattes and if I need some shimmer I'll dip into another palette I have or I'll add some glitter.

Lol I think that was actually the least similar of all the comps! Really though, the rainbow palette is not a new idea for any of these brands.
@@MakeupJustForFun Surge had some differences but I think Blends is closer, plus it’s the all matte one. Rainbow palettes def aren’t new but BB made them way better.
