Congratulations guys, as far as I know this is now the third k swapped 350z. Hoonigan being the first and me being the second, now we have a third :). I've been collecting parts and researching for the swap for years now, If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message.
Hope you guys can get the stock pan to work, I tried a k20 pan with the cross member notched out but couldn't get the engine to sit where I wanted. I ended up using the tf works rwd pan but It has small issues clearing the sway bar. The way I have the motor mounted now, it has about an eight of an inch in between the pan and bar which rotates away.
hey dude, i hope im not to late to comment. im really wanting to do this swap but theres no content on it. is it worth it in your opinion, my z has a blown motor and i wanna get her running... i just dont wanna put that vq back in her.
@@aidchristensen2000 honestly man I couldn’t tell you just yet because mine still isn’t completely done. I’m still saving to order a harness from wiring specialties as well as a few other things. The engine is properly in the car so there’s really only electrical work and some small things left
Seen a k swap bmw dct combo in a 370z on FB, and a few others with k swaps like a g35 sedan and 350z on Facebook as well. I’m surprised they haven’t developed full kits for this chassis yet like the LS and JZ
the MR2 EPS can be ran as on/off I am waiiting on my buddy to bring his EF sedan over so i can wire it up. I have all the supplies to do and offer harness kits as well.
It really does suck how the k series engines can be dirt cheap and plentiful unlike the D16Z6 I need for my del Sol Si. But then the cost to install a k series engine is like 4 grand between axles, mounts, shifter, cables, electronics, AC and PS lines (it's a street car not a race car).
It's not 2003 anymore. I'd grab whatever would be available to do the deal. Time is the enemy here. Used parts MIGHT save you a hassle. I do not claim to know one single thing about swaps. Except things come in phases. It would be a nightmare to buy all the parts except for that one thing and then it's discontinued before you get the bones to buy it.
So far it's not terrible....I just couldn't do a K it needs to stay a V6 in my eyes......just a lot more simple of an engine, these rev-ups....damn! Gotta love honda for simplicity

If you're willing, I'm researching this swap as well and I'd love to pick your brain about how you went about doing it. Do you have an IG?

I am currently swapping a j35a4 into my 2005 infinity g35 coupe.....any thoughts?
I honestly want to do the same thing.

@@randallbennett7608 which is understandable plus a k20 could never make the torque a j35 does. Where have you had the most trouble with your swap?
@@TamarrionMartinez the wiring. Trying to make everything work (with updates) damn can-bus
what trans are you using?
