Remembered that that one deleted scene from that one Spongebob episode (Just One Bite) existed and felt that this needed to exist also lol
I did NOT like messing with flip fluids for this lmao. I oughta learn how to optimize it better. But other than that, this was fun to make!

It's even funnier once you consider the fact that even if it was just a bucket of water, it would still set off the springlocks.
Okay, but why does Squidwards voice actually fit him so well?
This works so well as a parallel because right after squidward gets burned he goes through another door and gets burned in the same exact way. (Much like how Springtrap escapes fnaf 3's fire just to get burned again almost immediately after in fnaf 6)
I know spongebob can seemingly fit itself into any other piece of media, but wow, the audio fits perfectly for FNAF. The scenario that squidward/springtrap finds himself in isn't neccessarily something that Scott would write, but I can imagine him doing so for the laughs.
See if the springlocks hadn't already gone off that bucket of "water" would be much more deadly to him

I can’t stop rewatching this, I love his expressions and the way he tilted his head back for his ears when waking through the door 😭 absolutely amazing

Ironically how spring trap fits squidward very easily here; their both smart enough to assess when something is too good to be true but are still easily outsmarted

Ok the secondary animation in this is beautiful. The hands sliding on the door for some reason is just a super satisfying touch and I can’t explain why!

I know it's an insanely minor detail, but I love the way springtrap happily throws his head back and his ears brush against the top of the door
It make more and more sense the more I think about it. Who knew springtrap in that scene would work so well!
