It terrifies me to think that Springtrap isn't just a mindless killing machine, but he used to be a human, and he knows exactly what he's doing because he's a serial killer.
I honestly forget sometimes he's *"Him".* The one who did everything, and the one who's committed unspeakable evil

I like how they show the fact that clearly springtrap wasn’t forced into the suit then died in it, but instead he clearly wore the suit and knows perfectly well how it functions.

there have been countless animatronics introduced in this franchise at this point but Springtrap will probably forever remain the only one that genuinely horrifies me and makes me feel threatened

In my opion it's a mix of design and personality like for the other animatronics (with the exception of maybe the funtimes but even that is iffy) you could reason with them because they are just angry confused children stuck inside machines but springtrap is (obviously) different he's a broken man a man who mentally tortued one of his sons with exaggerated animatronics a man who killed his best friends daughter out of pure spite, a man who killed his daughter( by accident) and his wife(presumably). a man with no morals and nothing to lose Is often quite terrifying
it’s because, unlike the rest of the animatronics who are either ghosts of children or mindless robots, springtrap is an undead serial killer with horrifically evil intentions
The way he opened his masks is so terrifying, the wet and bone sound coming from the suit makes it so real.

i imagine it would smell like your raw skin after using a bandage for too long but amplified by alot
The smell of rotting flesh… is something. I only know cause a longgggggg time ago, I passed a cat to elementary school. Everyday the smell got worse…till there was nothing left.

@@tlberg6423 it would seem you underestimate resonant energy is, along with a spirits memory reoccurrence. Most spirits, if corrupt enough, relive their death over and over and it pretty much becomes a part of them. Now using that knowledge and applying it to a fictional case like Afton, it makes perfect sense.

Ikr, it's so cool, maybe this model is like different from others.
Another thing to note is that the suit he’s stuck in is a spring-lock suit, and what he’s doing is unlocking the jaw so that he can stick the head in and let the vapour of the desperate breathing snap them shut.

Yeah but the "walking up to the player" has a meaning to the lore. Its cause he is facing his own son. I dont think William would punch Michael when he doesnt know that Michael is working with Henry yet
@@TangleHamain 1. However, Michael is Williams son, but Michael and william are enemys. 2. There are no clue that we are playing as michael in the third game
@@eazy770 1) As I said, at this point of the timeline, William doesnt know that Michael works with Henry and 2) Thats why theories exist bud and also, read the books about everything from the franchise (the freddy files and stuff) and you'll agree with all of us that Michael is the character we play as in FNaF 3 lol
I would say that Springtrap's jumpscare is calm because William is old enough to understand how to be threatening to people since 1, I'm sure he's already feared in general and 2 he had experience already. Other animatronic jumpscares are children trying to seem menacing to the guard by just jumping at them moving their mouth back and forth, since they're children; they didn't have experience to seem threatening in their past. Tried my best to sound logical but at least it's my theory.
Let's-Players still got scared from him just walking up to the player, so I guess it still worked.

Springtrap has a really good side profile.
I really love how he can still move his corpse's mouth considering it got stabbed upwards and at that point, your mouth won't move anymore.
Or maybe. It only moved or opened because of the springbonnie mask being opened.

I think his soul possesses both the animatronic itself aswell as his human body
I like how this animation actually acknowledges that William is in control of both the actual animatronic aswell as what's left of his human body
Man if we ever get a FNAF movie they definitely need to have Springtrap be in the end credits or something because he’s practically the most fan favorite character in the whole franchise.

‘SPRINGTRAP joins the battle’
The machine characteristic of his voice is incredible and I wish this was what he sounded like in the original games. It’s a horrifying aesthetic of a raspy decayed voice with the inhumane nature of the machine.
I love the sfx at 0:25 with just how mechanical and monstrous it sounds! It kind of reminds me of the MUTOs from the 2014 Godzilla with its sort of electronic yet biological sounding roars. More creators need to put in that same level of focus into sfx as well as animation.

Apart from the stunning animation, the thing i truly find magnificient is the sound design, from the clicks of the suit and the bones cracking, and also the glitchy sounds when he still isn't in the office.
