That is the best what somebody can do with a paraglider,so you have the best feeling of flying ,completly different than 1000m above the ground, this is the real sense of flying,at least for me.
i'm glad to see this. i wish i could have one, learn to master it, i'm gonna do those skill for humanitarian purposes. i live near mountain. for year after year there are accidents happen to hikers here...i wish i could help any of them using those skill as you have with paragliding.....oh, btw we have a couple neighbour ( Oom Jan and his wife Tante Magda).....anyway, i wish i could have one and master it............
I saw some industry on the horizon on parts of the video, so i suspect it's somewhere on the Dutch coast north of Hook of Holland (google that if you want to know more). To the south of Hook of Holland you'll find the sea port of Rotterdam, stretching from the North Sea all the way into Rotterdam itself. The industry you can see in the video might be part of the sea port.
This does look like a hell of a lot of fun. Serious Q - how good of a pilot do you need to be for this (for e.g. acro requires a lot of solid skills, x-country needs good thermal flying, etc. Where would this compare?)
I have a stretch of dunes close to my house about 9 meters/30 ft at the tallest point and about 3 miles long. Can that be flown on a 16 meter wing. Asking because I only skydive and would like to get into the sport and also keep some speed about it for now.
I so wanna do this I DON'T care if I nearly kill myself by getting a Ozone mantra R12 open class wing this looks so much fun I better get a reserve aswel so I won't die lol
Ok first, I have no idea about paragliding. second, does this require a lot of skill the way they were gliding at low level and near sand dunes. And third, is it better to start at a place like this or in the mountains. I have never done this but i would totally love to, i could do this all day every day im just worried about crashing and breaking bones.
billy sunday 1) The flying is actually the easy part. What's harder is judging the conditions correctly, taking off, landing, dealing with unexpected incidents, etc. 2) IMHO you should be learning to paraglide in the area you plan to fly. 3) It is hard to come by hard numbers but paragliding is about as dangerous as riding a motorbike. Also, generally speaking, the more height that is between you and the ground the safer you are in a paraglider

One of my favorite paraglyding videos, and nice music, I watch this to take a break at work

Skimming the dunes like a Gull..... Nice soundtrack.... free as a bird!😊
Anyone can fly from the top of a mountain.... but it takes real skill to skim the dunes and do wingovers!!! great video.
Next step of the dream is we could fly with our own wings above the sea, land, mountains.... Many thanks for that nice vid !!!
Nice video. I flew down that coast sitting in a commercial aeroplane drooling about the possibility of flying it just like you have. Super

A reserve at that height is ballast! Not much use when you throw the diaper while nearly on the ground! LOL!
