    hi thank you for an awesome video. How was the service, food and beach at secrets Akumal? Was the beach clear enough to walk in without any seaweed? What is your top 5 favorite resorts in Mexico or Caribbean based on food, room and the beach?

    • @inspiration2travel356
      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem

      Hi, thanks for your time watching the video.
      Food was great (we used mainly the restaurants, not the buffet).
      Service was perfect from the moment they knew they were getting tip 😉 before the service was ok.
      Concerning seaweed... we travelled at the end of April, this is when the Sargassum period started. We haven't had any problems yet, so unfortunately we can't judge after that. However, Akumal is not as badly affected as Tulum.
      Unfortunately, we cannot answer your question about of our top 5 resorts in Mexico. This was our second time in Mexico and definitely the best all inclusive resort we ever traveled. We also loved the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic 😍

    My husband and I are going there in December for the first time to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We are SO excited!
    Do the restaurants have a dress policy? We weren't sure what all to pack. Also, will we know which places and activities are not included in the all-inclusive -- as in, what things will we have to pay for? (Ex. Restaurants, snorkeling, spa, etc.) We wanted to make sure we brought enough money. We also didn't want to break the bank.... Thanks for the video.

    • @inspiration2travel356
      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem

      Hi Teresa, thanks for your comment and your support 😍
      Oh wow... 25th anniversary - congratulations!!!
      There are a few restaurant with dress code (for example in the italian and french restaurant men need long pants), but I think I remember that at the buffet restaurant and also the 2 restaurants at the pool dress code was casual).
      Bring a lot of single dollar bills with you for tips. The waiters really appreciate it and we felt better treated as a result 😉
      Food and drinks are all inclusive in all restaurants. If you want to have a bottle of wine for dinner you can choose from the menu, but it is payable. We stuck with the house wine which was just as delicious.
      You can book spa treatments and excursions by credit card or charge it on the room. Maybe some cash for snorkeling in the Akumal bay.
      There is also a ATM at the resort.
      Otherwise we wish you a great time in December 😍

    Thank you for posting! Looks like you had a great vacation! ! Do you think the preferred room worth the additional cost? The tub in the balcony looks nice 😊. We never been to all inclusive before and considering secrets akumal.

      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem +2

      Hi Pam, thanks for your time watching the video and your support 🤩☺️
      For us, the preferred room was worth it, we didn't use the jacuzzi on the balcony, but we did use the a la carte restaurant for breakfast (buffet is not really ours 😅) and we love rooms close to the beach. But everyone values different things on vacation 😉

    Hey! Great video ! I was wondering , what age group is the most prominent in the resort, and do they have good entertainment and activities ? Since we want some relaxation but also want some fun. Is there a nightclub ? We are both in our early 20s

    • @inspiration2travel356
      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem +1

      Hi Natasha, I would say the age group is mixed, but most are between 30 & 50. There is a night club/bar at the resort but I would say the resort is more for relaxation. There is also entertainment (more at the pool than at the beach), but they are not intrusive.

    Hi! We’re considering this for our honeymoon. Did you do any excursions while there? We’re wondering about the ease of transport between hotel and excursions. Also, did the restaurants require reservations? If so, how was that process? Thank you!

    • @inspiration2travel356
      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem

      Hi Allison, an excellent choice for your honeymoon, we loved it there. We did a round trip with different hotels in Yucatan. However, we also did an excursion from this hotel, a tour to the Tulum and Coba Maja sites (we also have videos online of this excursion). We booked online, but you can also book through the hotel.
      We never needed a reservation for the restaurants, but we were always early in the restaurant (around 6:30 p.m.). Guests who arrived at 7:30 p.m. sometimes had to wait (depending on the restaurant).

    • @inspiration2travel356
      @inspiration2travel356  Před rokem

      Hi, we had not 1 rainy day in April, but end of April the sargassum season starts, so I would recommend travelling at the begin of the month and not at the end of April ☺️
