The most beautiful place in the world
Went there earlier this month. Such a beautiful place!
Would definitely recommend going there. Had so much fun while I was there. Resort was fun to. Dreams family resort.

I went 2 years ago and definitely recommend this place. You paid an admission fee that includes snorkels gear and food all day.

This place was awesome when we went, kind of regret only going for one day because we didn't get to do everything.

The park is big with lots to do. We try to help people be prepared for their day so they can do as much as possible at Xel Ha. There are packages to get a second day half off if you choose.

What is the best way to get here from our hotel in Riviera Maya?
You can buy transportation with your ticket or depending on where you are, you an take ADO bus or colectivos. There is more in our link on how to do this.

I buy the tickets to go their are they a one day thing, or can you go their all throughout the week?
The tickets are good just for the one day. You can buy in advance and change the date within 24 hours if you want to change it. It is a full day there. You can buy multiple days if you want on the website. I thought the lighthouse slide was central... No good? You never mentioned it.
We have a separate article and vide about it when it opened. It is not a central aspect of the park. It is fun for some, but the snorkeling and swimming is what people mainly like.

Do you know how warm the water is in mid January?
The water can be around 77 degrees. People swim year round at Xel Ha. The water only changes a little bit since it is coming from underground.
I'm not sure this place is worth over $100 per person a day. Then they try to get you to spend more on optional activities ? I would prefer somewhere less disney like but then that is what Xcaret is - Disney in Mexico.
It is worth it. You can go to a cenote and swim but not as big as this inlet and there are tropical fish and other animals. You don’t need to pay for anything else unless you really want to do something. All good and alcoholic drinks are included. So $20-30 on food and beverage. You get snorkels and an amazing place to spend the day. A beach club can cose $25 for chairs or bed and then food. But not the location. Also, most tours in the Riviera Maya are 100-130 usd so it is similar to a tour price.
Is there any barracuda or croc or shark r they gated
At the entrance of the inlet there is a floating bridge. We don't now if there are barriers below the water, but there has never been a problem.

This is a Xel Ha Park. It is near the ocean on the north side of the floating bridge.

It is about 36 minutes south of Hotel Xcaret México.

Is this trip ok for wheelchair users?
Yes. Actually the park has special chairs available for the water and special ways for people to enter the water. Most of the trails around the park are flat and it is possible to see a lot. Some activities are. It possible like the water slide but you can ask when you arrive for more info.

Are mosquitoes/bugs an issue there?
Not really. In more wet season the back part of Xel Ha in the woods can have mosquitos. They do have chemical free bug spray available if you want. Big spray with chemicals damages the water and delicate eco system. Overall though it is not an issue with bugs.
