  • Aspects of The King’s Reign
    Micah 5:5-15
    I. He will be a Protecting King (v.5-6)
    A. Nations will come against Israel (v.5)
    B. Christ will defend Israel against all nations (v.6)
    a. Why Babylon is important in Revelation:
    1. Babylon will be a literal, physical city (17:18)
    2. Babylon will be a city of importance and influence, and the leading headquarters of the Antichrist. (17:15, 18)
    3. The Beast (Antichrist) and Babylon are closely related. The woman (Babylon) is pictured as riding on the beast. (17:3-5, 7).
    4. Babylon will be the center of all false religion (17:4-5; 18:1-2)
    5. Babylon will be the center of world commerce (18:9-19)
    6. Babylon will persecute the Lord’s saints (17:6; 18:20, 24)
    7. Babylon will be completely destroyed at the end of the Tribulation by God’s judgment (Rev 18).
II. He will be a Powerful King (v.7-9)
    A. He will cause Israel to prosper (v.7)
    B. He will cause Israel to be preeminent (v.8-9)
III. He will be a Purifying King (v.10-15)
    A. He will remove anything that could cause false hope militarily [cf., Deut 20:1] (v.10-11)
    B. He will remove anything that could cause false hope religiously (v.12-14)
    C. He will remove anything that threatens His peace and rule [cf., 2 Thes 1:6-9]; Mt 7:13-14 (v.15)
    Point to Ponder:
Jesus’ future kingdom is biblically assured. Have you trusted in Him to ensure your place in His kingdom?

The Assyrian here is the final antichrist that will come forth at the 1st Seal from Al MAWsil, Iraq. He is the Assyrian of Isa 14:25, Isa 10:5 and Nahum 1:11,14,15. He is the final antichrist that shall ever pass through Judah again. The Pass Through of Nahum 1:15 is the appointed time of the end Pass Through of Daniel 11:40-44 with Jesus appearing in Daniel 11:45. Jesus will destroy him on the last day.

Most of the seals are past, all of Daniel's prophecy is past.
