@@vito7654 i said get rid of the rebels, which i got rid of in 1447. The disaster itself was later but once rebels are gone the rest is easy to manage which is why I didnt rush it.

@@LudietHistoria It's very doable to end the disaster in 1456/7. Allying the Eastern Muslims (Air/Kano/Katsina/Nupe) and currying during the first war with Jolof lets you run wild, and you can just dissolve once you start to run out of targets. You also save a boatload in admin points because you don't have to stab up at all since you don't give the game enough time to wreck you with endless scandals.

For those playing in the recent patches (after a change was made to have atleast 10% Crown Land to Sell Titles), don't take the +1 Admin Estate Agenda as You have a 1-0-0 Ruler and You need atleast 4 per Power before You get advicers (max is +2 advicer)

But I'd appreciate the uncut playthrough that much more.
I recommend u come to watch me do livestreams on twitch then. Lets plays on youtube are sadly a thing of the past and channels that still post every moment dont really do well
I've restarted like 10 times to learn what to do step by step to overcome this rebel spam. I've put 3-4 days of my vacation to complete Mali run, but scored like 8-9 achievments including Abu Bakr's Ambition and Mansa Musa. I didn't conquered north of Africa, so Spain were a constant threat.
Once u get past the first years it's such a fun nation tbh
@@LudietHistoria I agree. Once You get a foothold in the region and manage the rebels, the game is a breeze. No worries about AE in the continent. Amazing Colonial oppertunities in the New World and later into Asia. Sit back and relax.

I was talking to myself "When is it going to be over(the disaster), god please have mercy on me"
I gave them the autonomy and my money income came to a grinding halt xD
One thing I just figured out because I was playing around with Mali openings over and over that I'm not sure I've ever seen you mention regarding the estate privileges you hand out. Getting to 40 influence for the burghers/merchant guilds is where you get additional dev reduction cost for your initial province developing. Given the amount of this done in Mali in particular this seems like a pretty important point.

For those doing this guide on the newest patch, one minor adjustment for the change requiring you to sell 10% of crownland: Don't take the +1 adm point estate privilege right away and just get a +2 advisor for mission like the others, and then sell land. can still get first 2 right side missions done at the start.
No jimmy. Take the admin mana. Ots literally the most important. Just dont sell crownlands, mana is more important and u got many gold mines, cash wont be a problem.
@@LudietHistoria I was 2k into debt on my run with taking the admin. Maybe I got bad RNG but I couldn’t go without rebels. By time I got out of it I got declared on by Castile and the rest is history lol
@@LudietHistoria ok ok I did it using your method. Took several tries but without them allying everyone in the world it’s definitely doable. When the estates revolted I gave in to the rebels unless it was the Dhimmi, then I killed then. This allowed the estates to get above 60 to complete that mission.
First of all , man thanks dude, u helped me alot. Couldnt fix it on my own in such a short time but now i could finish the quests till 1465th .
I needed to adept some things because u can not sell crownland u dont have, like u did at 1:58
but u can just take the +1 for diplomacy and +1 military, then sell the last 10% crownland buy 3x +2 advisors -->first mission done then u can kick them after 1 month and replace them for +1 advisors if u want.

edit: I didnt need to capture that much, actually I only took " Jenne, Jolof, Timbuktu and 7 countries inlcuding Gao of this Sahlis Area". I guess it is possible to finish this around 1462th.

I am totally aware that rebels give army tradition. But ffs... I am FCKING annoyed by constantly spawning rebels and constantly having to decide between either more unrest everywhere or upticking autonomy everywhere in my current mutapa/Zimbabwe/zulu run.
While I love the flavour and missiontrees in this DLC, this constant rebel/autonomy/unrest-war is really annoying...
Edit: I am big dumbdumb, I totally forgot about the edict since I usually only use the Dev, the trade and the manpower one....

I just did a play through of Mali and the rebels were manageable if You have the right plans for the missions. I took a few loans to maintain mercenaries and within 20 years, most of West Africa was under My realm and the balance was usually close to 0 or in positive.

Wow this is really fun in the new patch. Using the state edict to reduce autonomy is really effective, as is the dhimmi privilege for +2 tolerance of heathens. Taking the estates statutory rights work really well to stop autonomy spiralling ridiculously high as autonomy reaches 25% quickly anyway. Have tried multiple starts and it makes a huge difference.
Never take the stupid estates staturory man, you lose out if you do

Alriight I have failed 5 times trying to do your new England strat so here we go lets see if i cn give this a go, have done few Mali runs before. (I am the unusual eu4 player who almost never plays in Europe).
Great guide my run is going well. Still some weird bugs. First ruler died but still exists as a ghost general in the military tab who cant be deleted. Fully occupied Kong and sitting on that for ages while sieging down Songhai and Timbuktu - somehow Wagadugu is able to start stealing Kongs provinces from me without even being at war with me!
I started a campaign with Ethiopia after seeing this vid. Been enjoying it so far. Became Aksum, expanding towards East Africa, Arabia and Persia. I'm also able to rival the Ottomans with proper alliances and some luck from them depleting their manpower in the religion war. What I'm unable to tackle for now is the Market of the West mission which needs 5% trade power in European nodes. Any tips on how to do this one? My trade ships can't reach those nodes, and other than picking a fight with Europe nations, I don't see how I can complete this one.

I don't know if it's bad luck or if they've adjusted something in the stability events. In my current game in the first 80 years I've had 5 comets and 3 or 4 other events that were a straight up stability loss.

after seeing this guide it look semi easy the annoying part is the scandals allso i was playing france the other day and i kept stack wiping england and Portugal troops.

It still surprises me that Zimbabwe is more of the gold nation than Mali. Given that Mali historically had so much gold they messed with the global economy, but they get no province modifiers to gold production and you have to wait till you get Trade Stations till you can complete their gold mission. While Zimbabwe ends up with so many more gold mines and can complete its mission earlier
