Weylie, you inspire me to go on trips on my own. It's just so relaxing to get out of the house for a drive sometimes, so I can imagine how nice it would be to go out on a solo trip!
I have the same Primus set and it's perfect for 2 people car camping. I love how they nest together.
One thing I learned while opening a jar. I usually tap the sides of the lid with the back of the spoon. It will actually going to be easy to open after. And for the bottled water my trick is always hold the bottom part of the bottle with your other hand and the other would be on the cap. it is applicable with small bottles or medium sizes that your palm can hold the bottom of the bottle.
This made me feel so warm inside. 🤎

And you can see into the house from the outside even at night!! How scary! Honestly weylie you should try to protect yourself more. Definitely all for the solo trip but not in that kind of setting. If someone were to WANT to do something bad, they could.

Tip for opening jars! If you hit the lid (like the sides of the lid) with the handle of any utensil it instantly makes it openable! No matter how stuck it is! I don’t know the science behind it but it works every time!

Next time you’re struggling with opening a jar, you can try putting an elastic band around the lid so that you can get a better grip when twisting. Life hack! :)
I m a guy, and from time to time, i got to really struggle nearing giving up from popping the lid of leggos afredo paste for fettucini. Couldnt open meant no meal for the occasion, huuh.. but hasnt happened yet ...so far.
Might try your suggestion..
Or hit the lid with a knife (the sides of the lid) to help it release
Or I run it under hot water :)
Orrr turn it upside down and hit it against something hard like a table heheh
Just pry something between the jar and lid like a butter for example to release the air pressure, then voilà.

Hey Weylie! Love your solo trips. I used to take them quite a bit myself before the pandemic happened. By the way, I used to struggle with opening jars until tiktok showed me that if you use a spoon in between the lid and jar and press spoon outward, the lid center will pop and you can remove the lid easily after that.
