I volunteered at this shelter and they swore they were not high kill. Only animals in severe distress, medical distress cases or super aggressive were put down. I guess things have changed there. They were a great organization to volunteer for and people there cared lots. I volunteered in socializing, grooming, and pulling dogs for meet and greets guiding the process to ensure a match. I miss it. I know they have when severly overcrowded 20 adoption days or even free adoptions "clear the shelters" events they are called just to try to save them all. It's cheap to adopt there so these make it even more an incentive to adopt. Thanks for getting her! Always look out for adoptions guys!

We adopted a dog from a killing station (they're very rare in EU but they exist) and this was the most insane dog I ever met. She would not let you touch her at all or she'll probably bite you. She would defend resources like crazy and she couldn't stop peeing inside. We had her for 10 years and we loved her a lot. Sure she made some improvements but some things we could never change. The people at the shelter told us about her life as a street dog in Spain and then she got adopted but she already defended her resources. The new owners staring beating her to make her stop but it only got worse so they gave her back to the shelter. She never got adopted again and she was very aggressive in the shelter environment so they made the decision to give her to the killer station. We actually wanted to get a "normal" shelter dog but my Mom just couldn't leave her there so we took her instead. It was 10 crazy years, in the beginning she bit all of us but she started to trust us more and more. When I was a teenager we sat in the garden and I read stories to her because she didn't like to be touched still. She died of old age in 2015. RIP my little girl. I'm so happy you could live with us.

I don't understand how there can be killing shelters. In Germany there are none. It is possible 😢 this is just sad. I had 2 shelter dog the first one in the picture Robin was 11 when I got him and the dog I have now I got with 5. She looks a lot like this baby also a German shepherd mix. I think it is so wonderful to adopt dogs of a killing shelter or any shelter.

Despite having all the luxury u can ever imagined in Taiwan, the trip is quite not too expensive I feel Which is very very good thing ❤😅

ive only watched one video from you but i think starting from 12:49 i really felt touched by the words you said, i myself am an animal lover and i especially love dogs! though, as im still young i am limited to how much i can help these poor babies, im unable to volunteer because of the age requirement and im also unable to donate to shelters as much as others as i of course do not earn an income. i agree with everything you said, it is unfortunate that we are unable to the most perfect person that will devote themselves fully to something they like, sure you love it a lot but, commitment is really very hard and everyone is limited to the things that can they can do but the little things we do to help these poor souls is already good enough, i for one try to make the environment better as there are many strays living around my area and keeping the environment clean and safe will help protect these strays! btw the work you did is truly amazing, thanks for helping these dogs as much as you could! i hope that every dog lives happily and safely❤

German Shepherds have a notoriously nervous energy. After many different type of breeds and mixes throughout my life, my latest dog, Max, a mostly German Shepherd, really captured my heart with his loyalty, protective nature, intelligence and curiosity. Luna is gorgeous.

It is stupid to draw a line between eating meat and helping animals. And yes, adopt and EDUCATE people about puppy mills and stop them from buying dogs from questionable breeders!!! Also most people are clueless about the breeds they are obsessing over and should do way more research on their needs/health/ personality. That german sheperd was sooooo gorg!

Thank you for rescuing her and finding her a home! I lost my big doggie on May 15th and during the first few I just couldn't picture having another dog nor did I want another one. He was my first dog, PERFECT for me. Aside from God, my mom, and my 1st love he is the only ever other being I've loved. The pain of losing him was a new type of pain and in the first few days I remember thinking "I don't ever want to feel this way again" however as a week went by I began thinking I need at least 2 years before I could ever adopt or have another dog but the guilt/regrets kept making me feel guilty. After watching you help save Luna & showing Luna and all the other dogs I decided I definitely want to adopt another dog or two (if possible I would love to have 4 big dogs) however that won't be until at least 1 year - closure to 2 once I am more emotionally stable from the loss and in a better financial place or at least health that way I can work as much as I need to in order to provide for a future dog. Luna is so cute and she made me realize I can definitely love another dog again and I shouldn't feel guilty about it due to the regrets I have. I just pray that my big doggie knows about my regrets and that I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! I miss him a lot as well :(
