That's what I was thinking, there's no way they used the super duke engine and not give it more juice than 123 horsepower. This just seems like base model specs 💤💤💤
It’s the 890 engine not superduke.

When you get this bike in your hands, I'm looking forward to your review of it. If it's better than the previous bike to you I'll likely lean towards picking one up instead of an 890 R
How has the reliability of the 890r been so far?
What the size of it compared to the 890. I’ve tried an 890 R twice but it’s too small for me at 6ft.
I have a Superduke and thinking of going 990 for track days if they make an R this year.

Is there an aftermarket swinging arm for the 890 Duke?
Not that I know of
so is the 990r coming soon or it it still ways away

😑 I just bought an 890 to run in MA SH.
I think you’ll be fine. A modded 890 is likely to be as fast as the 990. Going to take some time for there to be any aftermarket stuff for the 990. I’d be surprised if the 990 makes more power after a exhaust and tune than my 890 with a fully built motor with the Speedbox cams

Well at least your race bike will look better with a front number plate instead of that ugly butt headlight! Excited for you to have more power to compete against the Indians.
