Brian is a legend in the North East. I remember this incident when it happened. Brian was a much younger guy of course, and also much bigger. He was in fact a man mountain, I'm guessing around 6'4" and about 25 stone? He was also ridiculously strong, and was considering entering strongman events. The scumbags who tried to murder him had to do it team-handed and they still failed. His injuries were horrific and I heard he'd even been kicked repeatedly in the testicles, which were swollen to the size of a football. The "heavyweight boxer" mentioned had the initials DG, if I'm not mistaken.
