The Disciple is one of those rare films where the process of self discovery is guided by the person’s intrinsic motivation and passion for his craft, and not because of a romantic interest or a major life incident. In that regard, Whiplash stands out as well.
Trust me the train scene in swades where srk drinks the water...it is one of the most heartwarming scene in the history of indian cinema, or one of the best scene in general.....love that scene❤❤❣👍

The Disciple has been beautifully made. I can watch the movie 50 more times just to listen to Maai's enunciations.
Credit to Netflix as well on releasing these amazing movies, be it "The disciple" or "the court" or "Super deluxe" or even "Bhavesh Joshi super hero".
This VO artist has the ability to really calm me down and excite me in the same span of 6 minutes 😍 Loved the animation too!

There are only few film makers in India after Satyajit Ray who can challenge audience perception through their peculiar storytelling, and Chaitanya is one of them. I feel like if anyone is going to bring Oscars in India on screenplay/direction, it is either Chaitanya Tamhane or Ananda Gandhi. Or may be both.
