    That Leitner rack is the same one I have on my Ram 3500. And I was wondering if I could put it on the M1102 I just bought. What a coincidence...and it answered a big question I had about whether I could use the rack on the trailer. Like you did! What a great find, your video. Thanks.

      @rscow Před rokem +1

      @@davidisinmn yep. I got the rack adapted to the trailer. I’ve taken it on two short trips and it has all hung together.
      There were some non destructive mods. And I had to source longer cross pieces. Dang trailer is wide.

    Nice Hitch Setup! Did you weld the hitch receiver extender bar to the existing bar after cutting off the Lunette ring? What size bar is used for the stock Lunette ring on the M1102?

    That is an awesome mil trailer! I have an M410 with a rooftop tent, 12 gallon water tank and pump with lines that can discharge from the front and the rear of the trailer, LED lights on all four sides and I’m still trying to figure out what I can add to it next! Gotta ask... what is the exact name of that gray? I’d love that color!

    When you took off the big military wheels, is there a market for them? Humvee owners or something? Wondering if this can offset the cost of switching over to regular wheels and what is involved.

  • @ssazerac

      @jonnynoll1153  Před 2 lety +1

      Never. And it's been cross country a couple times now. But I serviced the hubs right away and didn't over-torque the spindle nits like the Army instructed us to do back in the day.

  • @shankthomas
    @shankthomas Před 2 lety +1

    What did you use to attach the rack to the trailer?
    Did Leitner give you any grief about ordering the extended cross bars?
    What rack exactly did you order that fit it? Were there any extra fabrication steps that you had to take to make it work?

    • @jonnynoll1153
      @jonnynoll1153  Před 2 lety +1

      Its bolted to the rails. I was the first to talk Leitner into sending me 7' bars that I could cut to my specs. But they won't do it anymore so people are using 80/20 or other crossbar material.

    • @brokenrockadventures
