- In this video Jay, Mark and I head to the top secret cliff edge location for an autumnal bivvy on a work night. It was a return to one of favourite places and even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits.

Those work night camps are a bonus mate hey👌🏾
Witnessed my all time favourite sunrise from that ledge 🌳🌅 🌳 😍ATB.
Marcus.
Thanks for watching Marcus. It's a pretty special place isn't it, a sunrise from that cliff edge is always breathtaking. Hopefully see you soon for a camp with Jay & TJ.
Great to see you out, dean. Your videos are always inspiring. The synth wave tops it 👍
Thanks for watching Paul. Got to love a bit of Synth Wave 👍😎 Stef and I are going to see 'The Midnight' in London in May, can't wait 😁. All the best, Dean
Another excellent video Dean much appreciated . I’ll be out in another few weeks.
Thanks for watching 👍
That final slog is horrible haha, I was hoping to be there waiting for you but for reasons ive forgotten I was late. Still it was a great camp despite the weather.
Looking forward to the next on
Atb Mark
It really was a great camp wasn't it, the weather was better in Dorset but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to more. Thanks for watching Mark
Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos Dean. They really are created by love ❤ and a joy to watch.
Thanks for watching and for your kind words Shuyel 👍
Top notch vid as always, Dean 👍Big smiles despite the manky weather!
Thanks for watching TJ, always smiling no matter the weather... Being outdoors is enough for me
Great vid Dean , thankyou. Lovely spot up there. 😉
Thanks for watching Gareth, it a really great spot. One of my favourite places on earth 😁
I love walking because it clears your mind, enriches the soul, takes away stress, and opens up your eyes to a whole new world. Thanks for sharing this amazing video. 😍
There is no better cure for life's stresses than a lung full of fresh air. Going for a walk or a run always makes life seem much better. Thanks for watching 👍
Keep up the great videos Dean.
Thanks for watching Barry 👍
Nice to see a camping video from you dean.
Thanks for watching Tom
Thanks for that Dean, I always enjoy your camps and the teasing of your music. (My fav being the Spurn Head music...not the real title )! Take care Grant 🙂.
Thanks for watching Grant, the Spurn Head video is one of my favourites... That seems like a long time ago now
I felt cold n damp just watching that ..well done lads 👍🏻
Haha thanks for watching
Still great to get out whatever the weather is pal, good video mate 👍
Thanks for watching Drew. It's always great to get out, the fresh air is all I require to keep me going. Obviously nice weather is preferable but I don't mind a bit of rain 😁
I love how you was being so descriptive at the beginning, without describing where you was 🤣🤣. Good to see you guys back at "the place that shall not be named". Looks like nature has taken hold of the place. Not sure how I feel about the cliff edge being cut back as it acted as a sort of curtain leading into a stage with that spectacular view. Looking forward to more content. ATB , Grizz 🤘🏻
My thought is that you can be as descriptive as you like, the people who can read a map in order to locate the place generally aren't the sort who would go there and trash it. The ones who can't locate from the obvious landmarks perhaps shouldn't be introduced to the place... Not always true but it's a theory... Plus, if something is worth doing its worth working for. Get a map out folks and figure it out for yourselves. If you can't read a map, have a go and discover the absolute joy that comes from doing it.... I'll get back down off my soap box again 🤣 Thanks for watching Dave.
I live in Amber Valley and even I'm struggling to identify where u camped, although I'm pretty sure it's 1 of 2 possible places, I've just not been to that exact bit. Quality camp as always! 😁👍
Thanks for watching 👍😎
After walking 46 years in the Peak District and surrounding areas I like a challenge. Your video was a challenge to find the spot but Jay's wasn't. The inscriptions on the rock can be seen clearly on Google maps looking down the Amber Valley to Ogston. Hopefully we will get better views than you tomorrow when we do the walk. Or I could be completely wrong and I did enjoy the rest of the video. 🤔👍
Nice one for finding it Barry. I like a challenge too and to test my knowledge. Anyone armed with an Ordnance Survey map would have no issues locating it.. some people like everything handed to them on a plate though 🤣🤣
Have you ever done the dronfield rotary walk? I grew up there and we did it at school and I've done it a fair few times since
I've done the Dronfield Round walk, really enjoyed it.. much more scenic than I was expecting. Thanks for watching Dave
It’s a great spot to camp Dean. I know the location as I’ve walked that area a lot as it’s a stunning area. Your secret location is safe with me though 😉. I’ve seen most of your videos from that location and can see why it holds so many memories for you. Such a shame the small minority spoiled it 😞
It really is a shame it went the way it did, I was gutted at the time. Thanks for watching Anthony
a bit wet....think i would have retreated down to the poets corner.
There's always the temptation to do that 🤣 Thanks for watching
I'm a tad confused. I'm a non hiker but now retired and thinking of taking up hiking. If you can't tell us where you are and climbers also frequent the spot, then why can't you identify an area to camp that will help others? Still enjoyed the video though but not the secrecy. Intrigued. Is it because you aren't supposed to wildcamp there?
To many people who av no respect for the countryside decided to frequent there and chop growing trees down and ruin it for others
It's because it's now private land, we camped and made videos there lots in the past and the place was overrun with people. As a result of the increased popularity a fence was erected saying keep out. It was my favourite spot to camp and it was ruined because people came and left a mess, cut down trees and ruined it for the rest of us... After that I decided to never give a location away again to prevent anything like that happening in the future. Thanks for watching Chris
It was ruined and it absolutely broke my heart to see it in a mess, it also broke me having to say goodbye to place where my friends and I had spent so many happy times. We played there as kids, I've taken my daughter there many times.... It was a victim of its own beauty
@Dean Read thanks for the clarification.
No worries Chris... Got on my soapbox a little there 🤣 If you view my older videos from there you'll see why.
Stopped watching it when the secret began.
Thanks for watching the part you did 😁
You missed out on a great video.
I've decided never to give an exact camp location away again due to what happened to this place... I enjoy looking at a map and finding my own places, I don't believe I've ever watched a video and gone to a spot because of it.. it's all about exploring and finding places on a map for me, not for everyone but that's the way I like to discover new things
