Thank you to all the Palauans who took part in this video sharing their culture to simply helping me learn. This is what cultural immersion is all about and grateful to all of you.
Why "Living Like A.."?:
Living Like A Palauan was an idea I had prior to Palau had I immersed myself deeply and naturally into the culture. And because I did, that idea quickly took off with the video project underway Mid November until this week.
But Living Like A.. didnt begin in Palau, it actually began 5 years ago in the Kingdom Of Tonga🇹🇴, where I was so blessed to be able to stay in a village on the island group of Vava'u.
Little did I know, my curiosity of the ways Tongans live their lives allowed me to, in the short time that i stayed, LIVE LIKE A TONGAN.
Living Like A Tongan was my very first true culturally immersive experience in my travels and to this day is very special to me, as well as the thousands of Tongans that watch it. It opened the door to a whole new inner passion of mine and that was learning about world cultures. 🥰
Living Like a Tongan happened to be one of my biggest CZcams videos and has beautifully brought so many proud Tongans to my video and to my channel, thanking me for loving their culture and taking the time to show the Tongan way.
Living Like A Palaun is very much all of this with the same heart, love, and passion for culture. The only difference now, my camera gear is far better and my storytelling and post editing skills are through the roof.
Which means, the ability to extend the voices of Palau and represent a whole culture is far greater. 🇵🇼
Thank you for doing this. The world needs to know the real Palau and our deep-rooted culture and traditions. Not just showing off tourists' sights but who we are. This made me so emotional and proud. Thank you so much ♥️🇵🇼
I’m so grateful with my tools and skills, was able to extend the knowledge and learnings of Palau through everyday Palauans. An absolute blessing! 💙💙💛💛
Right 🙌🙌
why? so that tourism can destroy your country faster? 😁
@samuraisniperfx you missed the part about “not just showing off tourist sights but WHO WE ARE” part!
I'm Palauan and I thank you for the reminder of who I am and who I've come from.
What a pleasure 🥹🇵🇼Palau is a very special place and culture 🥹
The ending when you said “life couldn’t get any more simpler than this” and she said “welcome to palau” is a good example of how laid back our people are and easy to get along with in such short amount of time. Keyword “FAMILY”. that’s all there is to it. GOD bless brother. 🇵🇼 can’t wait to see more content.
Mesulang my friend! I’m def getting geared up for my return once I begin my pacific island trip next year ☺️
As a speaker of another Austronesian language. Palauan language really stands out, quite unique even when I try to read the words.
It might be because alike Chamorro, it’s closely connected to its source of an austronesian language, unlike lets say chuukese which has evolved into a sublanguage within itself. Interesting stuff right? 🤓
I love how you beautifully presented Palau. Palauan language is always a bit difficult due to how deep it is.. for example “I love you” in Palauan sounds longer because if you translate “Betik a renguk er kau” it literally say “Found my heart in you”.. Thank you for visiting ❤
Omg that’s such a beautiful deep meaning and context! I appreciate my excruciating efforts that much more 🥹 sulang for sharing and look forward to my return with a bang 🌴
That’s my mom saying fort Riley, Kansas 🎉🎉🎉😂😂❤❤❤
She’s a legend😁😁😁🥹
The story behind the Palau jewelry, its' sacredness and true value really touched my heart. Thank you Sulang for sharing!
It definitely captivated my heart when I first noticed them on women and was told initially what it was! Couldn’t help but dig deeper to learn more 🥰. Sulang for supporting the work I do 🙇🏻💙
Austronesian cultures are so beautiful
Wow. Watching this as a Palauan who moved to the states at a young age made me really nostalgic and emotional. Thank you so much for showing another side to the islands that not many get to experience and appreciate ❤
Alii Destiny 💙💛💙 was such a great blessing to have spend the time I did with Palauans! It left a place in my heart as I left a part of mine there. Now I just need to go back, which I intend to do on this trip that begins next month! I’m happy to hear it brought you back to your roots via visuals ☺️
Ever since I learnt every country flag in the world, I've been amazed by palau. Thank you for sharing this journey.
So happy you enjoyed :D
Thank you for the natural, raw, and beautiful look of the fatherland. 🇵🇼👊🏽
All Genuine and true . What I intend all my cultural content to be and what it should be like right? Sulang my bro 🙇🏽
@@aperezvoyages sulang!😂 yes already talking like a PALAUAN! My man! GOD bless you man and thank you for visiting my home and telling people how beautiful it is from people, culture to the land. Amazing video. 🇵🇼 680
Thanks for sharing this experience!!! I have been a digital resident of Palau through their RNS program for the past year, and since then have been really opening my eye's to that part of the world. I have wanted to get a deeper look into the culture there, and this was produced beautifully for just that!!!
Ah man then I got you this video at a pretty damn good time then 😊 so glad i can provid vivid details into the real Palau 🇵🇼💙
Beautiful culture, love from RMI🇲🇭
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽😃
Met my life long Palauine Friend Kinsley in middle school, I'm truly blessed to be apart of his family such good people.
PalauanS are without a doubt, wonderful people! Sulang for sharing bro🤙🏽
Im kosraean and ive never been there but i wish can visit one day because it’s really looks beautiful
You should 🥹
Thanks for sharing. I'm Palauan by blood but adopted at birth so this video was refreshing to my soul. I haven't even tried betel nut. You're more Palauan than I am lol.
I’m glad it brought you home my braddah 🥹
I’ve had friends in school from Palau but this definitely gave me a glimpse into their homeland. Love the perspective and the eagerness to learn about their culture/language.
Definitely some of the most warm and loving people you’ll ever meet. Glad you got some glimpse into their culture 🥹
Thank You. This made me miss home, PALAU.
This video was also intended to bring Palauans abroad, closer to home ☺️ 🇵🇼
Sulang for putting my Little Rock on the map! As a Palauan living in America and having to explain where I’m from I can just share this video. Even though it was short and surface level, you did show it as a “Palauan” would. Simple is our island life. I miss it. I feel you will intrigue other real curious minds and adventures to dig deep and go to Palau to find out more in terms of our history and us as a people moving with the times but holding on to our roots. ❤
I really Love this comment bro! You highlighted just about every intention of why this was all put together. Now it’s whether or not another traveler will have an open mind to experience what’s real. Glad to have brought you home 🇵🇼
Just wanted to say alii to another Palauan. My mom moved to the states in the 90s and I’ve never been to Palau. So proud to be part Palauan and want to be more part of my mothers culture. It’s hard to find other Palauans and relate and discover more about their beautiful culture and language
We’ll allow this video to be a first hand glimpse. Palauans are so welcoming. I can’t say they’d be less for a palauan wanting to ground themselves into their roots.
CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS BROTHA !!! BEEN A DECADE SINCE I LEFT THE ROCK 🏝️
Ahh bro this is going to take you back to the motherland so much 🙇🏽🇵🇼 can’t wait to share on Sunday brother. Where do you live now?

Palau is actually a world class pacific island nation. Love it there. Plus u blend in.
It’s without a double a special place with wonderful people!🇵🇼
I haven’t been home in about 8 years, I’ve seen almost all videos and documentaries that I could find. This one is by far, is the best one. “Ke Kemal mesulang” for this one. ❤
My pleasure in filling a gap full of genuinely useful info 🥰
The Country U.S.Territory has very blue colored ocean water,it reminds me of Heaven before we get there. I spent 11 days in Koror in 1988 and knew a very kind lady who took me to the Rock Islands. I told others,I will return someday, but now reside in the 50th State Land of Aloha. Again, over the years I've met many nice people from the Republic of Belau Islands.
Palau claimed its Independence back in 0ct 01 1994 so it's not a territory to anyone other than it's people. We do have a special friendship connecting Palau with U.S., Japan, Australia, and Taiwan, etc. I've been away since 2014 and going to be visiting in May this year.
Wow I love this! Definitely got me all emotional 🥺 Sulang for showing our tiny island nation, it's people as well as it's culture to the world 🙏🌎 Proud to be Palauan 🇵🇼 One love ❤
This project and the connections I made in Palau was quite the beautiful journey! And I’m glad was able to use my tools to best tell a story of the real PALAU. 🙇🏽🇵🇼 if I were Palauan, I’d be proud too. Oh wait, I am Palauan now 😁 haha sulang 🙏🏽
Haha you are indeed, Mr. Ngirameketekii 🇵🇼 Mesulang once again 🙏❤
Right on 😁🤙🏽✊🏽 Sulang
Whether you are Muslim, Christian or whoever it is, it is only the Prophet KACOU PHILIPPE that you must follow today to be saved. Otherwise you will certainly go to hell because he is the light of the world today.
Salvation is not in a holy book or in a religion. But Salvation has always been the Prophet messenger of the generation.

26:41 Thank you for visiting my 🇵🇼MotherLand Ngirameketii!!! Your travel memoir touched my heart. I’m not crying!!! 😂
It’s okay we can cry together even if I edited it for 2 months straight and watch it 4 times on CZcams 😭😭😭😭 hahahaha my pleasure friend!
Thank you for showing the world our home❤️
Much love from a Palauan in Sacramento California 🫡🇵🇼🇵🇼
Was a major blessing dear friend! Hope it brought you closer to home 🥹
Oh man, you dropped a gem my friend! And it hit like a love letter! I'm a long haul truck driver here in the USA. It took me only 4 years to see all 48 states. But only one red splattered trail back home 😂. This line of work I do makes ageing proficient and ahead of schedule at what it does. This video makes me want to go home before the sciatica catches up 😂🤣🇵🇼🇵🇼💯💯
Ahahaha I hope it brought you closer to home so much to book that flight 😄🇵🇼 time moves faster than you think 😃 sulang
I’m from Yap living in New York watching your video makes me want to revisit the island.been to Palau long time ago right before they build the friendship bridge. By the way you should visit YAP. 😊
Wow! That’s some time ago 🥹 I actually been wanting to visit yap for years. 🇫🇲
So beautiful!
Greetings to my Austronesian brothers and sisters! 💕
Amazing how the faces are so similar despite the thousands of miles between us.
They could be from my parent's village.

"Living like a Palauan" I like this video. It dives deeper into the real Palau and what it means to be a Palauan, rather than just sightseeing. Thanks for sharing. Sending love from Palau!
A huge blessing my bro! Sulang for this 🙇🏽🇵🇼
Sulang for this beautiful video! Palau is the homeland of my dad and since I traveled there the first time long ago, it has been the home of my heart. This captures the very essence of Palau. Thank you for showing the depth of the rich culture and Palau’s beautiful people. I absolutely love this!
Sulang for sharing your story, connection and your appreciation for your own culture. It was a huge blessing to share what I learned to promote pride within! 🇵🇼🥹
I liked this video. You exposed our island and culture to the world. Even though I didn't get to see much of my home state of Peleliu. Dopest video of Palau lately.
Sulang for this bro! I actually have a planned Peleliu WW2 project down the line that will show some of innocent quite and quaint Peleliu through that video. But yea glad you enjoyed and hope it brought you closer to home 🇵🇼🤙🏽
Thank you for all you do ! Happy New Year !
I appreciate that my friend 🥹
wow been in Palau for almost 10 years now, but the tradition about money i just learned it now.
Exactly what I hoped this video did, show more of Palau , things even Palauans didn’t know 😄
very informative, thank you!!
😁😁
This is so beautiful
How did you do that? After 16 years living in this bustling city 30min from Tokyo, nothing had made me miss my home more than your video 👏👏👏 ke kmal mesulang
ahh man so happy to bring you close to home. Good thing is Japan is closer to home than the Palauans on the US mainland :(
Very beautiful nature islands
ohh I am looking forward to visiting
thank you for a beautiful honest sincere portrayal of our island. It's always a fear of watching foreign document of Palau, be it books, articles or even videos, as we can easily be misrepresented from an outside view. This, was beautiful and inspiring. Makes one proud to be a Palauan. Mesulang, bong em luut el mei/thank you and welcome back to visit again. peace.

Well said 🥹🥹🥹
30 Know that when you are born, all family and relatives’ blessings and curses from Adam down hang above you. But when you reach the age of consciousness, not the sorcerers but your first actions determine your choice. And the solution is to return first to God through his prophet according to 2 Chronicles 20:20. Seek Salvation first. And Salvation is only through the living prophet of your time. Not an angel, not a book called Bible or Quran. Not a prophet called Moses, Jesus of Nazareth or Mahomet. But the words of a living man amongst you. And you, whatever difficulties and sufferings that you are going through, first, know that the person to blame for all this is yourself. And in search for a solution, you shall not go to just any prophet and not just anyone should lay his hands on you. You shall never trade your Salvation for an ephemeral relief from Satan in a Catholic, Protestant, evangelical or Branhamist church. In Genesis 50, Joseph asked that his bones should go up from Egypt with Prophet Moses. And you, if you are a chosen one, you must not die before you accept Kacou Philippe, the living prophet of your time.
One of the most beautiful islands ❤️ wish i got to visit before moving to the states.
Where are you from?
These islands are cool.
Beyond cool 😎

This the first time I've seen a Micronesian island handled with so much respect.
