Nicely done. It might be useful to mention more detail about the extensive network of caves, tunnels and fortifications that made defence so formidable. The Americans had no idea how extensive those defences were, or they might have bypassed the island. Sadly, once you launch an invasion you have to finish it. Thanks for travelling all that way, overcoming bureaucracy, and posting the results. I especially enjoyed the drone video.

My Grandfather fought in Peleliu after being pulled out from Guadalcanal, New Britain, and Bouganville. One thing I remember from him was “Everytime I saw an American, I just shoot.” He served on almost every battle facing the us until he was taken prisoner in Okinawa.
