Mike and Melissa, often I have pondered how through the years your family dynamic must have been altered. Since Hunter is your first all aspects of raising your family must have taken on characteristics not common to many families with 4 children. I raised a special son but not autistic. I am familiar with the ugly. God bless you and please share what you can. Most appreciate you immensely.

Peoples’ true character shows during tough times. I’ve watched these videos for years. The Morgan family are all moral, hard working, high character people. I love watching the channel. For every person that says “must be nice” there’s another 10,000 people that realize you have worked hard and deserve all you have. Thanks for all the content and inspiration!

    • @dandaniels4558

Yes when all these people need to do is follow suit and worl hard and find a career like Mike did that is prosperous and allows them to have and do and obtain all those things they dream of one day.
That's the big issue with teens and young adults today they want everything given to them and not have to do like Mike and we all have done our whole lives.
And it certainly doesn't help that this president and administration and the dems in Congress Bernie and AOC and the rest of the socialist clowns tell them they can have a free paycheck medicaid or Medicare and anything else they need to live free rather then work hard for what they get and have and build a life for there families the right way the American way.
We are definitely not headed in the right direction in america today and I pray it changes.

So I’m a grown up man who as a early teenager here in Great Britain helped out lunchtimes while at secondary school, at a
Special needs school in the city in Norfolk where I live.
It was SUCH A PRIVILEGE to help out and try to enrich their day to day existence. It taught me so much about tolerance of others less fortunate than yourself on a day to day basis.
We all know a camera can lie through modern editing techniques.
THANK YOU MIKE AND MELISSA for being honest, keeping it real; the way it should be!…der! And not just conforming to the “everything is perfect” scenario that is main stream media

Melissa, I talked with you at Paul Bunyan '21 and shared my own experience growing up with a sibling with epilepsy. And, even now at '71, I still have a responsibility to make sure she is properly cared for in a nursing home. I have always been amazed at how normal your life "seems" to be on camera. I know you can never totally escape the responsibility, even though you're smiling on camera.
God has truly blessed you with children who are loving and willing to help with Hunter. Many times, they want to get as far away as they can right after graduation from HS.
My prayers are for you two to be able to continue with such joy and love for work and life itself.

At 12:25 Mike spoke of happiness. My dad used to tell me, "97% of happiness is between the ears, and the other 3% doesn't matter." Happiness is a choice, not a result. Morning Morgan's, I think your video would be extremely helpful to young families who are in the same situation and who may not have figured out the things you have through experience. My nephew is a little younger than Hunter, but I remember his parents struggling especially in the early years trying to figure things out. I would encourage everyone who knows a family in a similar situation to share this video with them. On a side note, your family is welcome at my home anytime. Keep up the great work, 311k and growing everyday... It's incredible and well deserved.
The awesome thing about CZcams is it's an opportunity for everyone. Anyone can start a channel and make videos, it doesn't take a huge investment to get started so no one is excluded. My point is to the "it must be nice" people, the only difference between you and the Morgan's is they're busting their butts and making it happen and you're sitting on your butt waiting for it to happen.

Edit: My wife is my MIL's 24 hour care giver since the day my FIL passed away. I get to go to work and get away from everything for several hours each day, yet my wife is there, in that house 24/7/365. I get it, I understand how important it is to those who have responsibilities to care for those who can't care for themselves to be able to get out of the house for a few minutes just to get some air. That Dr in the beginning of your video seems to understand that and is trying to provide some rest for those caregivers.

Hunter is a normal person, we all have our own special needs but most of us have never been honest enough to admit this. If we all found the courage to look inside ourselves for the truth, then we would realise that actually, we are just as different and vulnerable as anyone else. Maybe if we were also non verbal then we would hear the truth, that we are guilty of judging. I have so much respect for you Morgans, may God bless each of you with the very best that life has to offer. Best regards, Colin, England.

It is so heartwarming to see the true-to-life side of CZcamsrs. Thank you Melissa and Mike. I have an 11 yr old granddaughter they believe is autistic because of her destructive behavior but I'm not sure she has ever really been diagnosed. She does well in school so maybe she is high functioning. It broke my heart when her dad and his two kids lived with us from 19 to 4/22 because her father too strongly disciplined her for her actions. You see my son was drugged by his now x-wife 7/19 and he shot himself in the face. I was his medical care provider as he was on a feeding tube for 18 hours per day. The x preferred to do drugs so I picked the kids up 10/19. All is good now as they have moved on to another county and their egg donor mother is awaiting a jury trial finally in January 2023 for dealing in 19.5 g of meth in August 20. Although I've lost 70 lbs due to the stress since 2019 I'm beginning to get my life back and make our home a home again after all the damage caused. I just showed my hubby your channel today. He was injured in a WC injury 10/14/22 so getting his fill of CZcams videos. I keep introducing him to channels so he will quit watching that darn monkey in all his videos. lol Thank you again. Life goes on we just need to focus on different ways of doing things. I can't wait to see you WV home delivered so you can get Melissa away for the weekend.

I can’t imagine the things you’ve faced with an autistic child and now adult. But you both have done a fantastic job dealing with it and accepting the things you can’t change but also learning how to deal with certain situations. You and your family are wonderful people who I admire so. A true inspiration.

Growing up, my brother suffered MD. I could never him walking. After he graduated high school we struggled with transportation for him. A very good man who ran the local car dealership stepped up to help. Long story short, he not practically gave us a new van but helped us in getting a wheelchair lift. I always wondered why he/we had to go through that. But after watching my son help a classmate who had autism like he was his own son I had my answer. Some times we really can't see the forest for the trees. God has a plan for all of us and I believe you are doing a great job with yours. I will keep you in my prayers.
May God pless you and your family.

Good stuff guys, I can totally relate. My 5 year old grandson was born with pulmonary hypertension. He and my Daughter and son-in-law spent 9 months in the Icu at Strong Hospital. He is permanently on a ventilator and recently diagnosed with Autism. He is there entire life. He just had a crisis and they have been back in the Icu since Thanksgiving. Luckily they have alot of great people and support around them Anda try to stay positive! Thanks for sharing your story, it's not easy!

My wife has MS. She was diagnosed while in college in 1977. Through the years we have been invited to less and less places because she is in a wheelchair. For myself it's honestly not a big deal as long as we are together, but I know she misses not going places. Her health has been slowly deteriorating for several years now and it's up to me to take care of the house inside and out and honestly, I suck at it. Especially the inside work but I do my best and I always tell folks if you're coming to see us your always welcome but if your here to judge the house give me a week's notice. It's not always sunshine and roses but as long as you have each other you can get through most anything and the rest doesn't matter. Take care guy's, God Bless and Merry Christmas!

I had a brother who was autistic and I saw what my parents went through daily to care for him. I too learned a lot about life and how blessed we are to have our hellth. He, like Hunter would respond to loud sounds, sometimes with a seizure, so we learned to warn him like you do with Hunter. Funny how we learn real early that everything is not about us but caring for others. My mother cared for him 24 - 7 for 27 years until his death. Never taking a vacation or fulfilling her own needs. We did help with him but she never would be away from him on an extended basis. Your discussing this brought back so many things that I had forgotten about how others viewed him when we would take him out. Thank you for sharing and may God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks for being REAL !

I mean this in the nicest and most respectful way. I am very fortunate to have two young healthy boys, that keep my wife and I busy. I can’t even imagine the amount of extra care that a child with autism requires. This video got me in the feels as you both showed your love for your family and each other. I do my best and feel I’ve gotten better as I’ve aged to gain patience for others. As I teach my boys to be good people by my example, the simplest of things can change a persons day. Hunter is very is lucky to be in such a loving caring family.

Thanks for sharing..I started watching your video's because of Hunter, western PA woods(from Franklin Park/Wexford), & love of working with wood (& Melissa's Penguin hat!). I had a special needs brother who passed away five years ago, but lived with my parents for 50+ years. Your comments were spot on about how people view you and social interaction adjustments! I cried and laughed at the "that's OK" statement - I used to tell them that "no it isn't - it sucks!" My brother loved McDonalds, church, swimming and repetition; however, he especially loved being around people. He was challenged like Hunter, in the fact that he looks like a normal dude, in many ways that caused more problems in why he didn't answer questions! Enough rambling...God Bless your family!
