Having began his career at Liverpool, Michael Owen controversially moved to their rivals Manchester United in the summer of 2009. A few months later and Owen had scored a dramatic injury time winner in the Manchester derby.

Ngl I (a huge United fan) actually got a Man United jersey for Christmas with Owen on the back when I was 9, SOLELY BECAUSE OF THAT GOAL! (I didn't know that he previously played for Liverpool tho, but I'll always love him for that moment)
Bar Matt Le Tissier, Michelle Owen was the one English player I wanted at United. Terrific player and personality, he’d have been great in those wonderful United teams. Still he got to play at United and but for injuries he’d be ranked a lot higher in the great strikers club
