My neighbor has one automatically installed in his car and its really really interesting! It actually looks like the projection is floating in mid air and way outside of the car.

This is the first video of yours that I have seen. Great Job!! I came just to see this video from Safari while looking for a heads up display. I saw that this also has a night vision feature as well, I think it was the Hudway unit. That would be very cool because your head lights extend to 350 feet and they were showing 1,300-1,500 feet out. Are there camera features that can be added as well? For the Jeep guys or any off-road enthusiasts cameras to show tire placements are very helpful.

Is the speed reading delayed? I have a HUD that has to "catch up" to the speed reading which makes it useless to me. Is the speed readout much faster with this one?
Will I be able to connect a wireless OBD2 power cable? he one which works with Bluetooth ?
my 13 year old 2006 corvette has heads up display...its old technology....should have been standard on ALL cars by now, like a backup camera.

Like the idea but i dont think it would work in a full size suv or truck.
I'm looking for a hard-wired solution, using obd ii. Something that looks more factory installed.

The hud is so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. GM was the first I know to use them, in the Corvette and Pontiac. Just wish they expanded there use to improve safety.
To bad other countries realized the potential. The US auto makers will lose out on their innovation.

Totally true. I've had Heads up on GM vehicles for over 10 years. It aggravates me that it's not standard equipment as it could save tons of accidents and speeding tickets. I've caught myself speeding many times by mistake and corrected my speed due to having the HUD. Also enables one to drive exactly the speed they wish to drive to maximize time. My Vsport's new HUD is nice having NAV in it. Just wish GM would have done a better job implementing the NAV as it doesn't update to current data well. At least they have the feature, worst case I manually put the address in. Way safer then looking down at your phone for 2-5 seconds while driving. I'm happy Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys are finally coming with the tech!
I have a HUD in my Mini. But BMW navigation is very poor vs Google Maps, and no cast/Android Auto, hence I'm watching this.

This technology is still in the 18th century. They should wirelessly send the OBD data to the display and provide a rechargeable battery option for those that drive short distances or hate unsightly wires hanging all over.
Why can’t the backup camera project wirelessly? How often does someone backup their car? Why can’t the smart mirror be rechargeable.
We all bitch about Apples and Googles of the world but this what you get if you allow mediocre companies to make devices.

Another wasted money gimmick. Would never get any of these. I will wait for my newer car to have this kind of stuff built into the car. My current car is too old to try this kind of thing anyway.
