The Hudway Cast is an aftermarket head up display designed to be used in tandem with your phone. I used it with my iphone 6S. This Head-Up casts different screens from your phone unto the display to be viewed right in front of you. I've been using this for quite some time now and I can assure you the connection is strong and the directions are pretty spot on with this device. If you're looking for a nice inexpensive third party head up display look no further than the Hudway Cast. The Hudway Cast is not just one of the best heads up displays it's also one of the best car accessories period.

Anyone know of a projected Heads up display unit that shows the speed in km/h, speed limit in km/h, GPS navigation directions, and ideally additional info for instance low fuel warning, lane departure info, reverse cam vision, or other things?

How is this a BAD car accesoires? Apparently you'd rather keep looking to your right to see your GPS and crash and either kill someone or get killed while you were too busy looking at your build in GPS display. Great logic there Mr naysayer.
As the screen is not exactly aligned with the driver's sight, I wouldn't call this a Head Up Display but rather a In-Front Display screen. With a real HUD, you would keep your eyes always on the road.

That’s my issue. When you connect to a network with no internet, you have NO internet. I do that when using my ODBII scanner and I can’t use any thing that requires a connection. That’s not good.
When will answer my questions? I bough one in September 2020. And this firm do not send me the item arguing about problems in its production. In other words are selling without stock.
The hudway cast isn’t available anymore the hudway drive is expected to release sep 15 2020 and start shipping late September and early October. Was trying to find a cast everywhere and couldn’t find one

This I'm not sure of. That would be so cool though!
I think the problem with this kind of so called HUD devices is that for most people they still have to look down to see the information reflected on the glass. Mounting your phone on the dashboard in front of the steering wheel would be very similar. HUD that reflect information on the windshield are the real deal.
You would need an extra anti-reflection foil on your windshield which looks bad at morning and afternoon because you could clearly see the borders of the foil

Yes if you connect to this in the way I show in the video you can still use bluetooth audio.

It all depends on where you place your phone. My phone is nowhere near that close to my steering wheel.
Plus you dont have to look too far away from the road to look at the navigation or if someone is messaging/calling you
I'd get it for the thermal night vision camera.
I think he did that for demo purpose, it's a review video after all..

I think the purpose is to not block your vision or keep looking down at your phone... my issue is day time you can barely see it... gotta kinda strain

Practically speaking it act as a distraction increasing the chance of accident. I tried hudway glass type device and it caused lot distraction but it was 12 dollars only although principal is same as hudway cast

Why get a heads up display if you already have all the bells and whistles in your car
This is for people without all the stuff in the cars, I personally drive an older vehicle
now that is what I called review on a product. Still, I think peoples are relying on this thing too much and not on their sense of driving from and also knowing where to go if this device crashes. I think peoples should take the opportunity to not depend on this device too much and learn the roadway and where ya are heading to. The device itself looks good and I like how slick it is, just that it will get stolen if it was in Cali, San Francisco area. There are a lot of homeless that will break into the car just to steal the product and parking lot are too expensive.
Seems to be crap for me. At 0:47 it says 1 mph with the car completely stopped.
thats more because of how inacurate gps speed sensing is at lower speeds than it is the app
This device is too big to fit on every car dashboard. And you really spend always some minutes to get ready with Wifi connection, App starting etc. before you drive?
I don't need all of that nonsense on a HUD, I'm driving a car not going to a concert or being told when to turn left. I simply want an OBDII driven HUD that can tell me the condition of my battery and charging system along with my throttle position, tachometer, oil pressure and coolant temperature. Just "car" stuff thank you!

But you have to take your eyes off road to look at the phone and this device you can just put it in front of you and it won't block veiw as much I don't know why people can't tell the difference
@@Bluepheonix420 I am an average height driver, 1.80m. With this device mounted on the dashboard I would have to look down to get the information. And looking through the glass the background would be the dashboard or the hood of the car. So what's the purpose of being transparent in the first place? The video was shot from a very low angle making it appear as if the reflection on the glass is very close to the drive's line of sight. I guess if you are very short driver the glass would be closer to your line of sight but otherwise I agree with the other comments that this device offers no to very little advantage. One might as well get a mount and place the phone on the dashboard.

Hold up only $189 what in the world.. I came here because my speedometer on my 1992 240sx is not working correctly so i was looking for a cheaper alternative than a new cluster.. What a waste of time.
