The Moment Steve Nash Lost His Job As Nets Coach

- Steve Nash has been fired from coaching the Brooklyn Nets after 7 games. There were many moments where Nash had enough of coaching this Nets team, and one in particular might have spelled the end of his tenure as head coach. Jacque Vaughn is now the interim head coach & there is word that suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka might take Nash's place as head coach of the Nets.

It's impressive how Brooklyn has been able to rival the Lakers for being the biggest clown show in the NBA
It's a tight race, but brooklyn seems a little more pathetic to me
Remember when they were clamoring 2 years ago about this was going to be the finals it's amazing when they don't get what they actually want lol
@@jasonsandhu3760 They were saying "fast foward to June" lol its crazy how bad this has gone
Lebron and KD are very competitive with each other, seeing who can run their franchise into the ground first
Lakers feels more like a really bad pity show while Brooklyn is really trying its hardest to hate them with a burning passion
Iv said it before and I'll say it again. This channel needs to be time capsuled for they way you depict the drama that is the NBA
Isn’t CZcams a bit of a time capsule?
@@MacNCheezeWhiz and the award for taking things far too literally goes to…
@@deepaknambisan3251 Or maybe the OP was dumb
@@deepaknambisan3251 What did he even take too far? Y’all say anything on this app lol
@@MacNCheezeWhiz until the nuclear apocalypse
The fact KD said he was shocked by the firing after giving the Nets an ultimatum during the offseason is mind boggling. He literally said its either me or Steve Nash
Kd is feminine
This channel is too underrated. The way you edit is insane man, I’m so glad CZcams recommended your channel to me.
Thank you! I'm glad to see CZcams is recommending my channel again. Happy to see that you enjoyed the video also

Love how the clip was scaled down when Shaq started his crap, the allegory is insane🤣...big on the outside small on the inside
Underrated comment right here! It wasn't even intentional. It's just something I like to do
The JJ Reddick ending 🙌🏿
My favorite coach Steve Nash memory will always be when he was "holding" Westbrook back during a scuffle and it looked like an awkward prom photo. Nothing will ever top that
The Steve Nash Tik Tok transitions are top tier 🔥🤣
I love the TikTok dance videos he's got. Some of the best stuff I've seen from him since getting hired by the Nets
As a nets fan… I have never been so stressed out watching basketball in my life. I kept looking back at the 2020-2021 season as like it was the girl who got away. That was such an exciting season and there was so much hope and potential during and after that season…. And it just went to shit from there
I too.
If only KD didn’t have his toes on the line
I'm just happy yall took scared little Ben away from us. All his drama and bullshit is well away from Philly now.
They would've won a chip if kd's feet weren't giant sized
@@Bobby_Duku and if my mom had a dick she would be my bad, what is your point?
KD and Kyrie are a classic example the phrase "be careful what you wish for".
“Man, no more Stephen A. I’m tired of this guy” that made me laugh so hard!
I feel the same though.
I refuse to believe that any coach can get that mess turned around.
JJ FINALLY CRITICIZED NBA PLAYER YEEES!!!! xD
You can`t fix KD and Kyrie
@@thetruth4654 he already had KD on the pod so he ain’t pulling punches 😂
Not even Phil Jackson after MJ, Shaq, Kobe and Pau? He also had to coach Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom.
Either Phil who coached MJ, Kobe, Shaq, Pau...or the late great Chuck who kept the bad boy pistons in line and coached the dream team...with him being able to control all those egos he would have each and every single one of them fall in line...
“Do you know how ridiculously arrogant you have to be to say such stupid words?” Has me dying 5:39
10/10 thumbnail 10/10 video
Thank you Spex! I legit made this video instead of working my full-time job 😭
This is the first time I've stumbled upon one of your videos 👍 and you had me dying laughing 🤣 keep up the good work pimping you got another subscriber 💯
Just a few seasons ago, the media were discussing ad nauseum about how it was Lakers vs Nets for the NBA Finals. Today, though, they are more likely to contend for the Shitshow Organization Finals than the Larry O'Brien.
Shitshow organization is easily the nets and it’s not close.
By far you have the best content for basketball. Keep it up new sub
Really enjoy the style of these videos, channel has a bright future
I appreciate that! The videos are fun to make & it makes me even more happy seeing the love they get
That Steve Nash TiK ToK dance 😂😂😂😂
Another fantastic video - thank you.
Great content! Great editing! Subscribed!
First time visitor...awesome job...keep up the great work...Goooo Raptors 😁💜😁
man that Nets team with dlo, dinwiddie,
Allen, Lavert was fun to watch
Fr miss those days
most toxic team in the nba
This guy videos are amazing and well researched !!!
Steven A really does always complements people before saying some shit 😂 I fuck wit that guy right or wrong with his takes he’s just so entertaining
Definitely needed this one 😂
That last part had me laughing so hard 🤣🤣
Telling u this man got ALL the receipts great content as usual
Steve Nash should’ve started off coaching the Sacramento Kings or something like that. Or at least a college. Who the hell gives somebody a head coaching job out of nowhere based on what? And he’s one of my favorite players of all time
Jason Kidd just went from playing for the Mavericks to coaching straight away.
That joy over Reddicks take at the end was infectious. ;)
Excellent (and funny) analysis of this situation as usual too. I will say this, the owners are gonna remember all of this during the next cba agreement. Theyre going to make it a point to curtail player empowerment. Maybe not to pre-miami lebron levels, but to a point where shit like this in brooklyn can never happen again. I like player empowerment, but dudes like kyrie and kd need to stop acting like they can run a organization better then the coaches and gms. You ever see players like curry, giannis, butler try to dictate how their organizations run? No because they know their organizations will give them the support they need to be able to compete. Players should be players, coaches should be coaches and gms should be gms. Period.
nash deserved that mvp btw
The NBA and the professional game of basketball has evolved to such great lengths recently, and I would say it's the most exciting it has been for a long time. But I can't help but feel like with the massive improvements with the players came with increased antics and less responsibility from them as well. It seems more and more NBA players forget that they're hired to work ON a team and FOR it, not the team and the organization working for them. New rules need to be brought up to handle messes like this recent Nets scandal.
No sir Steve Nash was not a scapegoat everyone from KD, Kyrie & Harden to Mills, James Johnson & Drummond got blame by the media nobody ever called out Nash for 2 years outside of Nets fans who actually watch Nets games
1:06 KD is how many years into his NBA career and STILL no one is telling this man to invest in a goddamn brush? Can't be more than a 5 dollar investment but yet he can't be bothered to spend that
A brush won't do, might as well cut it all off
Kyrie Irving is the Antonio Brown of the NBA
oof!
Imma come back. I've never been this early for anything.
It's okay! Glad you left a comment. Thank you for the support!
Toof!!!!!!!!!! Yessss. Commitment
I think KD and Kyrie have toxified their legacies permanently. Think what you want of Nash’s qualifications, it’s not like he was gonna get any credit for driving these high school divas to the prom. The Nets are easily the most pathetic thing we’ve seen in the NBA this century.
You did Nash wrong on the thumbnail. 😂
Lol but to be fair, Nash looked crazy during that outburst
another banger vid 🔥🔥🔥. i like jj alot but yeah sometimes he too much of a yes man to players but he did a goat move with that statement.
J.J. Reddick redemption arc?!?!?!
yo, you're sick for that thumbnail lmaooo
I remember watching the OG Nets core in 2018 and thinking to myself that they had pulled themselves out of the hole that was the KG, Paul Pierce trade only for them to dig themselves down another hole years later. Still optimistic about the rest of the season tho.
Udoka I doubt will change much for them tho. The Nets players aren't nearly as good defensively as the Celtics players were. They are very small at the backcourt & cannot even play Simmons & Claxton because of how horrible the spacing becomes. Harris is still not close to 100% & Mills has pretty much become the worst version of himself in this team
As a Bucks fan watching this was hilarious bro wanted to throw hands and I thought all Canadians were nice😂
I love it you speed up SAS. Sounds like Baby SAS. 👶🏾
Charles...A flash on the pan..😂
Lmao at the Stephen A clip 😂
Haha. This was a damn good video!😃
Another Stephen A bit was when GM Phil Jackson wanted Steve Kerr as the Knicks HC and he went off on that too because he didn't have any HC experience BUT did have GM experience building the 7 seconds or less Suns (those teams with Nash). Then he was happy when GSW took Kerr and NY for Derek Fisher...WHO LITERALLY DIDNT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE FRONT OFFICE OR AS A HC LOL
I just want to apologize to my man for watching these videos for the last six months and not being subscribe. I am in forever in debt to you
Apology forgiven! People aren't forced to subscribe, but it's always nice when you guys do. Thank you for the sub!
The last piece of this firing kyrie promoting an anstiemitic flim
And the media (THEY OWN) getting emotionally defensive going WW3 on the innocent post on shows privilege their guilt🤷
Sas a clown 😂
Well as a Cavs fan we have to thank the Brooklyn Nets for being dumb and pathetic because they gave up their future all star for declining DeAndre Jordan this is a fantastic deal bloody lovely. Another awesome breakdown as always my guy keep it up man.
They gave up they future for a good load of draft picks, good cap space, a good head coach in Kenny, depth for an aging DJ, a season and a half of Harden, and now half back Simmons who won’t shoot. Sucks how the Nets have fallen since the 2019 playoffs😭😭
Bro it took you this long to long jj idk who you be watching🤨 love from the 6ix
this why i gave up on the nets a while ago...
Nash lost his job one day after he refused to come down on Kyrie for the tweet
At 9:15 you can see it written on the screen and can connect the dots
Mavericks need an assistant coach come home buddy
Tbh i think it’s crazy how nobody is talking about the nets owner? I could be wrong but I do not remember any owner handling team or player situations like this other than tsai
Why Steve Nash move like that 😂😂
This is a very entertaining feature..... But the fans come to see the players so empowerment should be granted to them. As it stands now, the
player personnel decisions are entrusted to individuals who may or may not be knowledgeable about overall talent. If the Nets hire the "cast
off" coach from Boston, then they have nothing to lose because they are already downcast in the public opinion poll. Just do it!
Love your videos just one thing bro - no more of that fast forwarding Stephen A or anyone talking, the sound itself is annoying no offense, instead just put the main point they made in regular speed. Thanks
Nash was the problem all along
But for KD tradd request, Nash gets fired this past off season
"Bad optics" to do it sooner cos that looks like "players run the team".
WE ALL KNOW that's the reason, as your evidence shows,..
But at least the Nets can CLAIM "management decision", even if that costs them a few early games
Great vid and getting greater by the vid man. I do wanna just state, Udokas still a great coach no matter what he may or may not have done with his weiner.
Scapegoat still one of the greatest Canadian athletes all time he will be remembered and respected but will anybody on that Brooklyn team be remembered and respected
Wouldn't the nets have to get permission from the Celtics to hire udoka. And potentially even give them draft pick compensation or some kind of accommodation? He's very much still under contract and being paid.
Nash made his team and teammates better as a player...certainly more than you can say about kyrie.
The disrespect 😧
Edit: from Kyrie and KD
Steven A is literally insane
Is SAS now saying Kyrie would be a situation for ANY coach?!?
Cos maybe.... Kylie's the problem...
Especially with those audio clips
white privledge cuz nash got the job for that reason? ppl who think this never go at kd n ky for choosing him. also prob cuz they werent thinking about race...ppl know they had a big influence if not more on the decisions that took place since they got there. players will talk about issues going on n yet no1 that i know has taken a side with or vs kyrie. i guess its hard to be the first n go against a fellow player but damn they quick when its not one of their own n claim there is no place for that.
Nash could come back to the valley of the sun and serve as an assistant under Monty Williams … but I’m sure he that’s a sigh of relief for him to escape that mess
Shaq invented the "most dominant" label and people have been regurgitating the phrase ever since.
Jay Will NAILED it!!
We wanna praise/defend the players... then they say/do dumbness
We wanna bash ownership... but realise in this context/case they're right
And vice versa
We wanna "side with" ownership .... yet most of their wounds are "self inflicted"
So it's just annoying all round
Where r u from bro
BROOKLYN, BROOKLYN
I’m happy for kd and Irving they don’t care about a coach they wanna play basketball there way.if they don’t win a championship oh well they rather win a championship there way or don’t win at all.
Bad, bad Nets ownership and front office. They let the players become bigger than the team.
When he said white privilege, I laughed wallah. What about the black coaches who don’t have any experience and got the head coach job???!
You mean like Steve Nash ?
@@juliusrandle2733 Derek Fisher??
I didn't even know you could trade coaches
In the NFL, Jon Gruden was traded.
Ima is a good Coach. Everything was consensual.
3:30 holy fuk, jus look at the length of KDs legs compared to the regular looking dude next to him 😑
“White privilege” lmao okay. 😂
Yea like the ppl who run the media
let chuck tell it nash defensive schemes are nba level.
That's exactly how it its listening to Stephen A
Kyrie's comments make it apparently clear why he hasn't won a championship without a lebron and why KD will not if they will not accept coaching why do they think the Warriors won championships? Not just because of curry but Steve Kerr had a part of it too the air the era of great coaching is done in the NBA and now you have to draft an NBA player that not only is talented but can run an offense by themselves.
Void of race, who would be "suitable candidates" for NBA HC?
School coaches teach fundamentals/rules
College coaches recruit and prepare for NBA
NBA coaches "manage egos"
So even if you're "Xs and Os" guy, how do you gauge "can manage ego"?
And why are "blacks" apparently (at least to SAS) better at THAT?
You missed some huge points tho Sean marks and Steve Nash were the problems
A team with 2 of the biggest Drama Queens in the NBA 🤣🤣🤣 and a 35 mil a year side kick character
This didnt age well. Nets hottest team in the NBA right now. Nash is a basketball legend but he has 0 coaching experience even though as a pro player you are a master in the subject but still a newbie as the head coaching figure. Go get your coaching stripes first on a rebuilding team before you take on a possible contender from day 1 dealing with legendary players with big egos on a day to day basis is not easy you have to be an older coach kind of like a father figure to them as well. Nash needs to do that first on a rebuilding team.
scapegoated sadly
Deandre jordan was his own teammate 🤣
Kyrie is not a nut case. He is a Black Man that has his own Mind. The White Man will never break him. People are getting tired of this continued Slavery tactic.
bucks 9-0, AND caused a head coach to get fired. brutal
As someone who has coached at even a low level….ill be DAAAAAAAMNED if a player calls me by my first name and says they don’t wanna run. Like alright get the fuck off this court!
Narrator riddle I Am this, you are picking a team to play 5v5 game, you already picked three players to join the team you are playing with, it's time to make the 4th and last pick to play Next who do you choose lebron james or Kobe Bryant?
they think they can be Bill Russel and be coach players. Wrong.
Shaq flexi. His rings as if He is like Kobe Bryant winning 3 rings as the most Dominant player on the team. Every ring Shaq won is with a player that is equal to or better than him. Hence Kobe and Wade.
He should’ve been immediately fired after being swept by the celtics
