All Star Game MVP, First ever winner of the Western Conference Finals MVP, NBA Finals MVP, got the championship AKA Ring #4 and averaged 31p in the finals. Steph had a phenomenal year and most definitely put himself over KD.
He wasn't the Best Player. the Best Scorer But that's it. Y'all keep Disrespecting Steph, ignoring the Stats on Why This Team Was So Great. Evn When HE wasn't playing
Only reason KD achieved those stats was because everyone going against them were double teaming Steph and Klay, leaving KD with wide open shots. Him having to become The Guy again in Brooklyn shows how fragile he is as a leader.
For real though. He was only able to do that because of how broken the team was. I'm not saying KD isn't great but saying he's ever been THE GUY on a championship team is a straight up, undeniable lie.
Replace KD with any good shooter that's a solid defender and they still win those 2 chips. There's at least 12 other guys you could replace him with. Gordon Hayward on those teams and they still would have won. Cleveland was falling apart after KD's first year. At best it takes 2 KD trophies to equal 1. So he's really only got one in my eyes.
I want to hear that "fraudulent foe" line about the Celtics back when it was 2-1 Celtics. Warriors just showed more experience and won 3 hard fought games after that 2-1 Celtics lead, and even as a Celtics fan I'll tell you game 1 was an aberration where Jaylen Brown showed just why he's such a great 4th quarter player.
Idk if I would say KD was the bus driver for the two chips in the middle. Steph was without a doubt the driver for the first chip, so when KD joined why would KD become the driver if you already seen Steph can do it. He proved it even more when he lead the hell out of the Warriors to win the fourth chip. I think KD was there to lighten the load off Steph, but Steph was still the driver all four chips.
the only asterisk (though this is probably nitpicking) i can give to this 2022 championship run is that Curry, though injured late in the season, was basically well-rested before the playoffs. so he was fresh throughout the rest of the playoffs. Celtics were gassed after playing 7 games each of the 2 previous series. and Curry looked fresh for that Finals. but as i’ve said before, a championship run is a journey. and that journey includes all the bumps and injuries during both the regular season and the playoffs. if you weather all that adversity in that journey all the way from preseason to the final second of that closeout Final game, you deserve that championship.
That just means the Warriors team is so deep that they don't even have to exhaust Steph in the regular season just to make it to the playoffs lol, that's not even an asterisk
Celtics being gassed? Shoulda conditioned more. Not an asterisk. All these excuses for people, I’m sorry Ik you’re not claiming that’s a real case, but people will pretend if boston won that they wouldn’t find some excuse for the Warriors instead
You can’t say the Celtics being gassed is an excuse if they had trouble closing out the Heat and Bucks. That’s on them. They’d have more rest if they closed out both teams faster.

Thank you for the love shown in this comment! I agree that the KD hate has gotten too far, and I know I'm feeding into it. But I do think KD had this coming for his past actions and if KD somehow turns things around in his career, I'll be sure to cover that as well
@@tooforwon241 honestly as a warriors fan I kinda wanna see it happen, him getting some validation for the player he is, not the FA decision maker he is.
people forget, the 2017 Warriors went 16-1 through the playoffs. that 1 loss was basically a gimme to leBrony’s Cavs. that’s proof that they didn’t NEED KD. i truly believe Warriors could have won again in 2017 without KD. the 2016 loss was devastating for the W’s. but they deserved that loss. they chased after that 73-win record, they themselves came back from 1-3 against OKC in the previous series, and Draymond got himself ejected from that critical closeout game 5. beating the Warriors at oracle in game 5 just gave the Cavs so much momentum, the outcome wasn’t surprising. but because of that loss, the team panicked and recruited KD in 2016. and the team suffered as they became too TOP HEAVY. so much so that the starters were so overextended, the injury gods came calling in 2019. and again in 2020 for Klay. in 2022, Curry, Klay, and Dray ended up missing a lot of games during the regular season. and this helped their fitness come playoffs. they should do the same for 2023.
Good point, and if the were to bring back kd, they would win maybe 2 to 3 more rings and will be rebuilding and starting from scratch all Ober again. Right now they just won a ring, they could still win 2 to 3 more rings with the players they have while developing the young core they have for the future . Win now while developing an continuing the dynasty. With Kd chances of winning it all go exponentially high but they will always be that elephant in the room from old drama
Great editing on the video as always. Love your content. Facts don't lie, I love the delusional fans and media still theory crafting on who is better and what not 😂😂😂
who the bus driver was in gs is such a nonsensical argument because the media arbitrarily chooses who the best player was based on the narrative they want to push in that moment. in regard to the 3-1 choke job, the narrative is that the warriors needed KD and that they wouldnt have won those 2 without him. so does that not make him the bus driver? now that the warriors have won before and after him, the narrative is that it was always steph's team. so does that mean steph was the bus driver? the media flip flops so hard on this debate it is fucking unreal. one TV analyst said "this bus must've been a self driving tesla vehicle because according to everyone no one drove the bus" and i thought that was a great analogy. but the whole debate is nonsensical because its foundation isnt sound in the first place. the warriors are a GOOD TEAM as opposed to other places where u have one obvious amazing player and good players around him, like bron and jordan for example. the warriors dont so much need that "bus driver" because they're a good team and everyone contributes. the spurs are another example of this. personally, i think KD was the best player on that warriors team but he definitely wasnt the leader. steph and dray were. but like i said, the bus driver analogy that people are so obsessed with in nba discussions now doesnt apply so much to the warriors. the warriors's system has always been a team effort. so, i dont think its fair to discount KD's rings with the warriors so much, at least not based on the bus driver argument cuz thats stupid. maybe his rings were too easy, and thats a fair argument, but KD was the best player on that team. i think essentially ppl just want KD to work harder for a ring, to have a more difficult road to a ring than joining the warriors. but like i said the bus driver argument is stupid
Colin made that Tesla analogy I think, which at first I laughed off. But he was scratching the surface at the point you're making about the narrative flip flopping. I will say that Legler put it best when he said KD was driving a borrowed bus because he was the best player & at the time the narrative was that the Warriors wouldn't have won those rings without KD

So here is a scenario, take steph off the golden state warriors from '15 to now, just klay, draymond iggy and a bunch of guys, do they win a ring, you watch games were when steph sits, the offense states, it's better now that you have poole and Wiggins but even they struggle most if the time when curry is not playing. I'm a warriors fan and I love what every player brings to the table but steve kerr has said it on numerous occasions, this thing only works because of steph curry. In my opinion, kd was the best scorer those 2 runs, at 7 foot and his shooting ability he was a mismatch against every defender. For those who think kd was the best player , he's been in the league 2 years longer than curry and never won a ring until he joined curry. A good analogy is Booker and cp3, even though Booker is the better scorer, cp3 is the most important player onb by that team, the difference is cp3 play makes with assists feeding Booker and the other guys whereas curry does that too but mainly he uses his gravity and his shooting to space the floor for the whole team

The reason the motion offense didn't work is because they doubled steph and klay and got the ball out their hands that's why kd thrived with iso. What happened in game 5 of this years finals was all 2017 and 18 make steph pass and let someone else beat u which was wiggins and back then kd.
Kevin Durant left Curry to team up with Kyrie, the least reliable player in the league. That's up there with the Sixers picking Fultz over Tatum as one of the worst decisions in NBA history.

I respect Jj Reddick i but even though he was right about KD on the Warriors BUT… he only saying that because him and KD are cool and they just did a podcast/ joint venture just a couple of months ago. And KD even snitched on himself the year after they won in 2017. He said “it was EASY. I could come in and just shoot and play on a system” even Drammond Said: “KD loved San Francisco because he didn’t have to worry about being a Leader all he had to do was play basketball which he loved doing” so where was the leadership then? Not to mention that 10-5 with curry and 1-4 without Curry record you showed on this video… I remember that it happened during the season and you wanna on what KD said when the reporters asked him about the Warriors struggles going 1-4 and this ninja said “We play BETTER when Curry is on the floor” that’s what KD said so idk why y’all KD fans are always calling him a leader KD is a weapon NOT A LEADER
What BS. The thinking of children like Durant misses the point. KD isn't the bus driver. The "bus" is the team, owned by Joe Lacob and Peter Guber. It's autonomously driven, with Steve Kerr writing the software and administering the protocols by which the TEAM functions. It is the team which matters, not the plug-in parts and modules that carry out the instructions. The Curry module diverted much of its work load to the shiny new Durant module, which made too much noise, a droning whine, before its /achilles subroutine blew up. Fortunately every part is replaceable. Pulled out the Durant module, plugged in a much cheaper and low maintenance Wiggins module, and the train keep a-rollin. If you ignore '20 and '21, when the wheels fell off, the team transitioned from 2019 to 2022 with hardly a burp, although the engine sputtered when the Curry module was down.
People need to stop the KD slander. The dude is a superstar, former MVP, former back 2 back finals MVP, a multi time all star, has had multiple All NBA selections, and a 2 time champion.
I love that instead of acknowledging what Chuck meant and doing a normal analysis, every analyst decided to keep talking about this damned bus and it gets so fucking confusing. To me it's not that difficult, KD wasn't the bus driver because he can't do it without GS and GS has done it without him but to just say he's not a bus driver without any other comment puts him on the same boat as end of bench guys which is also wrong. If we're staying with the bus analogy, KD is not a person in the bus, he's a powerful engine that makes the bus go faster, he isn't going to drive it but he is going to enhance it.
And that Nets team looks like trash compared to what they projected themselves to be. KD isn’t that good of a leader, has no backbone to tell his teammates how to adjust. Kyrie bitching at his own teammates like he’s earned the right. The whole anti vax ordeal and Harden begging to get out. You know that organisation stinks if they picked up another drama queen in Ben Simmons. Funny how I see the Nets as the exact opposite of the Golden State Warriors with their terrible Front Office, poor team chemistry, lack of youth development and trading picks and youth out for ageing players way past it.
I’m gonna subscribe just for the fact that you showed FTF clips, those segments where Wildes and and Walker where saying that KD isn’t effected by the Warriors winning the chip were ridiculous
Came back to this video after today's announcement 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂 KD is a bus rider, and his legacy is now one of a bus rider. He can win another 2 rings and he'll still be a bus rider.
Kevin Durant got caught liking of tweet where a fan was trash-talking Stefan Carey but everybody say that we should be moving past this on Kevin Durant okay when he moves past it we will but we know he won't so the train is going to keep on Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin until the river
Kyrie Irving is quickly becoming the biggest contract diva of all time. Causing all this drama, all this noise, trying to intimidate Brooklyn Nets into getting his own way, way beyond whats merited. Hope it blows it both their faces because this is just a bad look across the league.
People like to focus on KD’s legacy and shit. These people who defend Durant have to realize that it ain’t anyone else in the league “ruining” his career, it’s himself. His career has been tarnished since leaving OKC, him winning the championships only worsened it. With what’s happened with Brooklyn has also only made it worse, and KD being more sensitive then a 16 year old rich girl is another negative. I do respect KD, he’s earned a ton of respect as most NBA players do. However his actions do not deserve respect imo and the way he acts does not deserve respect.
Yes you are speaking the truth JJ ready but the one thing that you're missing out on is the fact that Kevin Durant had to go to a great team in order to look great what did he do in OKC what did he do in Brooklyn he got swept in the playoffs in Brooklyn and he couldn't win nothing against that same team right so yes you going to look so great and wonderful when you're surrounded by the greatest players the shooting between Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry Draymond Green with his dominance on b.j. and all the other players that started to the system with the Golden State Warriors right but take that same Kevin Durant and putting it back on OKC and then we're talkin about you can't get it done so why are we acting like he's so special he went somewhere that was special easy to look good when you got people around you like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors but then when he left them and went to Brooklyn he went right back to the same old they know who I am yes the man who got sweat in the playoffs I don't want to be on that bus if he's the driver of it
Steven A.'s point on Kyrie's private practices is disingenuous as hell tho, he specifically said Ky does them when the team finishes training. So what a player wants to train more after practice? Y'all loved Kobe for it. Fucked up

Kyrie is just delusional. And the fact that KD is wasting his prime years with this clown for me is just a Mix of sadness and anger. KD should be playing in the finals...
The NBA culture is strange. In the NFL when ANY player is looking to be traded everyone examines which teams will be a good landing spot for them, to set them up for success. If they are a free agent they get criticized if they choose a team that won’t set them up for success. Nobody would ever criticize the GOAT, Tom Brady if he said “hell no” to the Jets. But in the NBA to be considered “great“ you have to choose a mismanaged team with scrubs, otherwise everyone hates on you. It is a fact that the Warriors don’t need Kevin Durant to win. But it’s almost certain that had Kevin Durant stayed, the Warriors would have at least one more ring than they have now. It’s also a fact that Kevin Durant has 2 Finals MVP’s *with* Steph Curry playing on the same team.
This all started because Durant went & joined a 73-9 team that was a win away from a championship. This would be like Mahomes going to the Bengals after losing the AFC championship game
@@tooforwon241 right, but for me it’s a non-issue. I’ve never seen an NFL player criticized for choosing to go to a Super Bowl caliber team, or even a team who just won the Super Bowl. Everyone just looks at it like a smart move.

@@sanzo21 no bogus bull corn he joined a superteam too. Miami had won over 63 games beating Jordan's 96 bulls record I finals in 2014. Nobody cares about these lame excuses. Lebron did the same thing he just didn't go to a team of winning 3 titles.
All Star Game MVP, First ever winner of the Western Conference Finals MVP, NBA Finals MVP, got the championship AKA Ring #4 and averaged 31p in the finals. Steph had a phenomenal year and most definitely put himself over KD.
For sure. Steph > KD hands down
He wasn't the Best Player. the Best Scorer But that's it.
Y'all keep Disrespecting Steph, ignoring the Stats on Why This Team Was So Great. Evn When HE wasn't playing
Exactly! KD is not a playmaker, weak on defense . Kd is no leader he can not unite and inspire his team
Only reason KD achieved those stats was because everyone going against them were double teaming Steph and Klay, leaving KD with wide open shots.
Him having to become The Guy again in Brooklyn shows how fragile he is as a leader.
Just say you’re a Golden State ass kisser and a Kevin Durant hater 😂😂😂
Exactly tired of the steph disrespect
For real though. He was only able to do that because of how broken the team was. I'm not saying KD isn't great but saying he's ever been THE GUY on a championship team is a straight up, undeniable lie.
@@SamuraiFoochs still better than Draymond
Replace KD with any good shooter that's a solid defender and they still win those 2 chips. There's at least 12 other guys you could replace him with. Gordon Hayward on those teams and they still would have won. Cleveland was falling apart after KD's first year. At best it takes 2 KD trophies to equal 1. So he's really only got one in my eyes.
15:22 is my favorite part I love the shock on his face😂
Lol Jay was right to be shocked. Max was saying some BS right there
HE WAS DRIVING THAT BUS, BUT IT WAS A BORROWED BUS, THE REGISTRATION IN THAT GLOVE COMPARTMENT WITH STEPH CURRY'S NAME ON IT LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good lord, Skip Bayless just goes further down the "I'm a ****ing idiot" rabbit hole.
the only asterisk (though this is probably nitpicking) i can give to this 2022 championship run is that Curry, though injured late in the season, was basically well-rested before the playoffs. so he was fresh throughout the rest of the playoffs.

Your videos are so well assembled and deep i cannot believe im watching 4,5k subs guy. And i love these gigglings.
Anyway, i feel really sorry for KD, the amount of hate from all directions, including Warriors fans, is all-time high. Poor dude just made a couple of FA decisions and got destroyed because of it. Yeah its fun to watch but at the end its not something unheard of and not like hes played badly or screwed up others, the guy just did worse to himself.
Skip Bayless is a whole circus, no wonder people watch his show. Drawn to outlandish statements like moths to a flame.

who the bus driver was in gs is such a nonsensical argument because the media arbitrarily chooses who the best player was based on the narrative they want to push in that moment. in regard to the 3-1 choke job, the narrative is that the warriors needed KD and that they wouldnt have won those 2 without him. so does that not make him the bus driver? now that the warriors have won before and after him, the narrative is that it was always steph's team. so does that mean steph was the bus driver? the media flip flops so hard on this debate it is fucking unreal. one TV analyst said "this bus must've been a self driving tesla vehicle because according to everyone no one drove the bus" and i thought that was a great analogy. but the whole debate is nonsensical because its foundation isnt sound in the first place. the warriors are a GOOD TEAM as opposed to other places where u have one obvious amazing player and good players around him, like bron and jordan for example. the warriors dont so much need that "bus driver" because they're a good team and everyone contributes. the spurs are another example of this.
personally, i think KD was the best player on that warriors team but he definitely wasnt the leader. steph and dray were. but like i said, the bus driver analogy that people are so obsessed with in nba discussions now doesnt apply so much to the warriors. the warriors's system has always been a team effort.
so, i dont think its fair to discount KD's rings with the warriors so much, at least not based on the bus driver argument cuz thats stupid. maybe his rings were too easy, and thats a fair argument, but KD was the best player on that team. i think essentially ppl just want KD to work harder for a ring, to have a more difficult road to a ring than joining the warriors. but like i said the bus driver argument is stupid
@@tooforwon241 yeah dude i think thats a really good way of looking at it. also i wanna say i really love ur in depth analysis of these topics. i can tell u do ur research and i respect that. and ur humor is at the perfect level. a lot of nba video dudes play it too hard and it comes off corny. but yeah i really like ur vids, props man. u should get a better mic tho hehe
u thinking abt making a draft video? im real excited to see how chet pans out. i hope he becomes a great player. not even an okc fan but that team would be real fun to see
So here is a scenario, take steph off the golden state warriors from '15 to now, just klay, draymond iggy and a bunch of guys, do they win a ring, you watch games were when steph sits, the offense states, it's better now that you have poole and Wiggins but even they struggle most if the time when curry is not playing.
The king of receipts keep up the good work 241

Just asking you to try not to lose the acumen of sugarcoating basketball takes in jokes/trolling.
Man I appreciate that! I kind of stumbled into this style through a lot of trial and error. Honestly I love the trolling. I re-watch a lot of my vids and find them funny. So cool to see others liking my style
Thats the 76ers history. They are perennial screw ups.
As crazy as that sounds, this is an accurate statement. Time will tell whether or not things can turn around in Brooklyn, but I'm not betting on it

I haven't seen the Warriors championship runs in awhile but the way defenses are always watching Curry it wouldn't surprise me if it helped Durant blow up. Durant has never even been to a finals outside the Warriors.
Since 2016 you'd be right. But he did make it to the Finals in 2012 in what was one of the best individual playoff runs I've seen from a player under 25 pull off
@@tooforwon241 oh yeah, that's my mistake. Also, Curry being unselfish enough to not have KD getting more spotlight affect him.

Kyrie & KD should stay together, two 🤡 make a circus.
*Circus theme playing*

Yes you are speaking the truth JJ ready but the one thing that you're missing out on is the fact that Kevin Durant had to go to a great team in order to look great what did he do in OKC what did he do in Brooklyn he got swept in the playoffs in Brooklyn and he couldn't win nothing against that same team right so yes you going to look so great and wonderful when you're surrounded by the greatest players the shooting between Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry Draymond Green with his dominance on b.j. and all the other players that started to the system with the Golden State Warriors right but take that same Kevin Durant and putting it back on OKC and then we're talkin about you can't get it done so why are we acting like he's so special he went somewhere that was special easy to look good when you got people around you like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors but then when he left them and went to Brooklyn he went right back to the same old they know who I am yes the man who got sweat in the playoffs I don't want to be on that bus if he's the driver of it
Andrew Wiggins also a bus driver

Everyone just looks at it like a smart move.
honestly i hope kd uses this to fuel his fire that he isnt good enough. of hes as good as he claims he should win like hakeem no hall of famer or super star he has the talent but not the fire
This ends all KD warriors discussions: Put any good shooter like a Mccullom or even a Hayward in KD's spot on those teams and they probably win both of those chips. At least one at worst. You could take both KD's championships and finals MVP's and together they equal one. That's how I see it. KD is amazing but crushes under pressure. If your starting a team who would you pick first Curry or Durant?
You can def say he got that 2017 but Stephen Curry was the best player on the court in 2018 without a doubt.
All I can say is that steph never got swept and that he won finals MVP by beating the team that swept KD with ease with role players that were coming off injuries and that were basically left for dead by other organizations while KD decided to join another superteam to prove to the superteam that he just left ,that he could win and do better without him so yeah of course the media gone hate on curry because he actually did more with less unlike LeBron and KD 🤷🏿♂️ #JustSaying
