@BruhYouKnowWhat you’re right. 3 passengers and one flight attendant made it out. One more person survived the initial crash too, but drowned afterwards. God bless their souls.
For people that are asking why the plane crashed, short answer: The plane crashed due to engine sensors and pilot error, long answer: During the takeoff roll the plane's engine sensor's got covered by ice giving the pilots misleading info about engine speeds exceeding normal operation limits causing the pilots to decrease engine throttle, but not to the point the plane can't takeoff, but then the engine sensors said after taking off that the engine speed increased again, making the pilots decrease throttle further, the plane stalled and hit the bridge at a high speed (vertical speed).
Also, they crashed because the pilot refused to de-ice after a long delay which cause ice to build back on the plane and pilot said that it will cause them to delay even more if they de-ice again.
Air Florida was carrying 74 passengers and five crew members. Four passengers and one flight attendant survived. Four motorists on the bridge also died. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that the cause of the crash was pilot error.

outro horrível acidente aéreo que aconteceu (desta vez no Brasil) foi o acidente aéreo GOL 1907, o que me deixa extremamente triste para os pilotos e todos a bordo
Yeah, and they need to Anti-Ice the plane before takeoff to melt the ice on the plane, and Thrust Reversers should be used when the plane is on the ground, they've used it at low altitude and low speed and the plane hits the Potomac River, R.I.P.
There was one thing that flight 90 missed, you know what is it? Its the de icing, if this airport could have de icing, they dont want the aerodynamic stall, like flight 1713, tho.. the snow got in the engine.
Also the fact that the Pilot knew it was going down , i also feel bad for the people in the bridge seeing a B737-200 litteraly slamming the tail into the bridge and crashed into the frozen lake.
The pilots really needed to delay that flight for icing but they were scared of being delayed so they took off in ice conditions on the wing, Really bad decision
Forward forward. Easy. We only want 500. Come on forward. Forward! Just barley climb. Stalling we're falling! We're going down, Larry! I KNOW! *Impact*
@@iliashamid8765 exactly. From what I heard what happened is that the pilot did not turn on the de ice for long enough and there was freezing rain so the aircraft froze up.
It would have been awful for those who survived the initial impact, submerged under dark freezing water
My thoughts exactly. Sheer terror.
I know!!!! But at least they weren’t in the middle of nowhere.. People did also come alive from that one if I’m not mistaken.

Also, they crashed because the pilot refused to de-ice after a long delay which cause ice to build back on the plane and pilot said that it will cause them to delay even more if they de-ice again.

the reason is that the amount of ice on the grip is too much, causing the plane to not have enough lift in the way, and fall into the potomac river!
can yall imagine how strong the ice is shattering a whole plane like that?

@@planenboom The ice broke up the whole entire plane. i think thats nearly impossible.
No, it didn't do it alone, water did as well (surface tension is very destructive at high speeds)
