This is not how it happened. At the plane was approaching the Pentagon it was still 7,000 feet in the air and had to do a complex downward spiral although it is believed that the angle shown is the angle it went in, skidding across the ground and into the building

This plane was going almost 600 so it only damaged the engine a little bit
It struck five light poles, ingested a part of a tree, causing smoke to billow from the engine, then struck a generator.
