I can't imagine, how it feels to be inside in a plane which is upside down...RIP all passengers and crew
+pilots
I have been on a upside down plane before
🙏🏼
Is there any upside down situation in the commercial airline business history that was ultimately survived?
@@user-ul8gl5uh8k pilots are crew 👍
I worked at Alaska Airlines reservations, but had quit just before the crash. I talked to some friends who still worked there after the crash, and they said that day was absolutely eery.
They were instructed to take people's information down on these little forms they had been given, then hold the form up for a supervisor to come get.
So all night, in almost complete somber silence, one after the other, you would see slips of paper go up here, and there, and there, and there, and there....for hours.
wow man
The pilot's tried there best to save everyone they even tried to fly upside down but never gave up
Respect to the pilot's
R.I.P everyone Who died
HEROS
@@serverbf100mr if it's true? Well I gotta tell you, that's not true at all. I don't know why you're suspecting any of this. It was due to a mechanic failure, because the plane wasn't properly maintained.
Only 96 people survived
@@Emirates903 There were only 88 people onboard....and none survived
@@serverbf100mr Why are you trying to name-shame or whatever you’re doing.
R.I.P. To everyone onboard. The captain was a real hero and this teaches Alaska not to cut corners on its MD-83S
@Bryce oh ok thanks I can never tell the difference between that family of planes...
@@trainman86trainstramsandmore Its really hard to spot differences on md80
@@butteriest1634 yeah. But I can kinda tell if its a DC-9 cos its short?

@@Emirates903 so dose that mean if people died 23 years ago we don’t need to be respect for them? Will ig if you parents die like 5 years ago we don’t need to be nice to them either
The pilots were heroes. ATC offered them a chance to land but the captain declined it as he was afraid the the plane might crash before landing over densely populated areas and cause ground casualties. Salute to the pilots 🫡
0:17 R.I.P. to all 88 occupants on board.
Great videos!
imagine being in a united airlines propeller plane, having a good day and you see an inverted plane flying into its demise
I believe it was a us airways plane

I also feel bad not only for the passengers and crew of alaska 261 but also feel bad about the emb 120 united express pilots. They witnessed the last moments of Alaska 261 and told the atc what was happening

Fun fact: the movie "flight" was inspired from this crash

I really admire the pilots of this accident, they tried very hard to save the plane but it's not their fault at all. Alaska airlines care for it yacht in peace pilots and passengers and crews
Increíble cómo han mejorado los gráficos de esta nueva versión con respecto a la original
Imagine being the pilot, of the plane that watched this hit the water. Then report back to air traffic.
on a propellor plane enjoying your day when you look out the window and see a plane updoe down flying
R.I.P. to all pilots, flight attendants, and passengers. But, it must've also been quite traumatic for the other pilots from who communicated with the ATC and witnessed the final crash.....
this one was really sad, the pilots fought till the very end, They were true heroes, R.I.P
The fact the Movie "Flight" was actually based on the incident...
I've watched this video 17× in a day,but RIP all people who died there

The movie "Flight" is loosely based on this crash, The upside down, the crash is loosely based on this
The crash scene in the movie Flight with Denzel Washington was partially based on this flight.
It looks even more realistic than thư old animation
Yeah this one was made like 19 years later

The pilot inverting the plane to keep it stabilized in a hopeless situation. If their safety had been a priority, they’d still be flying today. But the investigations into these planes were damning
My grandma works for them and has since the early 90s her last airline went bankrupt and over a quarter of her crew friends at the time were on this plane rip to everyone
I love#Alaskaairlines
Being on the other plane and seeing that. Talk about freaking out.
I just am sad on how this ended up
Notice how even the Eskimo is unhappy, respect to the pilots, they tried until they couldn't recover
Alaska Airlines did have some eskimo tails like that back then
Why are you reuploading a lot?
My grandpa was on that flight. I never knew him in the 2000 because I was never born, it really hurts me to watch this video. 😢

LAST WORDS OF ALASKA AIRLINES FLIGHT 261
Ah here we go..
The fact that united 93 or 175 were probably looking on horrified as the plane nose dived into the Pacific ocean
Cause: The trim (I think) was Improperly maintained and the jackscrew has something to do with the crash. The plane was a MD-83
It was that there was no grease in the jackscrew leading it to break and cause the dive.
@@leathergazelle2491 There actually was grease but it was the wrong type. It was applied contrary to manufacturer guidelines.
@@never_forget9431 it was the company that tried to cut some of the budget
Yup correct it was a md 83

Sad crash
Why is the plane sideways when it is diving inverted
Cause: trim issues because of poor maintenance
McDonnell Douglas MD-83
I m so scared
I’m mean that the management to save the is going upside down would make it go up
RIP
Wait old alaska airlines ?
A mechanic advised that the 6 ft long Jackscrew that controls the rear stabilizers be replaced 2 years prior to the accident. Management scolded him saying “Stop Gold Plating these airplanes!” And after the crash when he blew the whistle on Alaska Airlines he was fired and blacklisted so he could never work as an aircraft mechanic ever again. I saw the segment on 60 Minutes about this crash. They interviewed the mechanic. You should NEVER fly on Alaska Airlines!
