Thank you. I don't think she was relatively unknown. She was known to all of us who searched CZcams for the greatest and the best music. Her life reaffirms my faith in God. I am sorry for Patricia and her family but I am grateful to God Almighty for allowing such a beautiful person in our lives. Thankful.
My first encounter of Patricia was around 10yrs ago by accident on CZcams singing Ennio's master piece Once Upon A Time In The West i was completely blown away with her cover of it and became an instant Follower of her it has been a real pleasure watching her progress over the years something i will always treasure, i had always felt Patricia had never gotten the recognition she deserves on the world stage compared to one or 2 other young Wannabe Sopranos that got swept up by music industry but for me Patricia was the real McCoy and i'm sure all her followers feel the same way ... We all will never forget her she truly was the Soprano with the singing voice of an Angel R.I.P Patricia 😢

i agree with you & i used to be a heavy metal dj, without the drugs!!! like you, i discovered her on you tube singing 'once upon a time in the west', while i was looking for the original version from the film!! patricia deserves more than just fading away from people's memories & i think her music needs to be introduced to new listeners to show what they have missed!! she could & should have been a major international star of stage & screen!!

Nice tribute. I'm devasted at her passing as if I'd lost a close friend or family member. I've been following her career for a few years and felt as though I knew her. Every day I think about her and the loss she is to the world. I shed a tear every time I think of her. I believe she was destined for greatness. What a beautiful person she was. My pain in her loss can only be a fraction of what the people who were close to her are going through. I feel so bad for her husband, family and friends. We all miss her. RIP Patricia.

I, too, feel like I've lost a friend. For 4 or 5 years I've rejoiced at her voice and personality. The most beautiful voice of our time. So sad to have her lose her life to this horrible disease and lose a putative future of pleasing the world with beautiful music and opera. But the reason I love her is her apparent genuineness, joy in pleasing others, and faith. Hearing her sing a spiritual song can bring tears. May the angels carry her into paradise. Thank you, William. The feeling is mutual, by the way. I think both of us never wanted to do a tribute to Patricia. A retrospective maybe, when she would turn 75 and was looking back at her triumphs at La Scala and the Met. Now she will be forever 25, and our hearts are broken, just like her career.

My three favourite singers - soprano Patricia Janeckova, mezzo Elina Garanca, contralto Diana Ankudinova - these are my musical inspiration and I listen to them every day. I still cannot believe that Patricia will never be able to further contribute to her body of work. She was a star in every sense of the word. Love is an ever fixed mark.

I heard about that girl when she was about 12 or a bit more. She was studying singing with my student Jana in Ostrava. I even didn, t know her name. But once later I was looking for Lucia for our theatre(Perm opera house, where I was a casting director) and called to her agent.I saw her on Yourube in great Olympia she sang and found out that it is the same person. That time she was the Ostrava University student with another vocal teacher that concidered that it, s to early for her to sing such demending role. And she was right. One week ago I received the news from Jana that Patricia left this world. I, m very sad about such huge and sincere talent! Hope she was taking to Paradise. Too early but for some reason that only Got knows. RIP, dear girl😔

Sad year this year. She was a great if not the greatest singer in this last 50 years. I cannot stand to listen to most of the so- called soprano singers now. I do hope her teacher will find , if not already, a new student that will equal Patricia. It will be very difficult to do so. Guess The good Lord trained her To be among the greatest among His There.
Today is almost one month since we lost Pati. The pain is still here and I think is going to last long time before I will be used to live with it. I didn't know her before October 2nd but from the moment I listened to her voice it was as if I had always known her. Her singing keeps coming back to me but also the photo of her happy face hugging her husband the day of the marriage. Her eyes and her voice are the mirror of her Soul... What infinite sadness that I feel to think that she will not longer sing, love and enjoy life. I pray for her every day by playing and dedicating Philippe Rombi's Ave Maria to her. I found one of her videos here on youtube about four days ago and went to her homepage. I immediately mourned for her and her family after finding out what had happened. This deeply disturbed me even though I had just found her work by accident. I think I finally fell asleep around 3or4 in the morning. I have to fight to keep my eyes from watering when i think about it, like now. God Bless
These kinds of tragedies are difficult to comprehend and process. Thank you for this loving tribute; the world has lost a ray of beauty that it so sadly needs.
In her very short career, Patricia opened the eyes and ears of thousands to the beauty of classical singing, and thanks to her recorded legacy, will continue to do so for a long time. It is painful to imagine how much more she would have done if weren't for that damned murderer, cancer. It is also painful to imagine how those who knew and loved her personally must feel, if we who only knew her through her recorded or public performances are so saddened by her cruelly young death.

Incredible talent a gift from the heavens how can there not be a God when it creates such a perfect creature as Patricia that voice was out of this world. Why any God would take her away in such a cruel way tests one's faith
I'm not here to have a theological discussion, but I don't believe in a sadist God. Bad things happen to good people for no reason. At least, that's my belief.
'She's not hard to look at' has to be the understatement of the year. Kudos for the correct pron of her name - it's not hard if you show the respect to learn it, as you obviously did, A fairly sketchy bio but are you aware you said vasectomy when you meant mastectomy? At least that's what I thought I heard. Also, any tribute to our precious Patka is pointless without her voice. But thanks for acknowledging the tragic passing of our beloved angel. Many like me are still in deep mourning.
Thanks for your comments! I listened back to myself and -thankfully- I didn't say "vasectomy." But the two words sound quite alike, I'll give you that. I didn't want to dwell upon Patricia's beauty (which is obvious) because comments about someone's appearance can be interpreted as being sexist. But her stunning looks certainly didn't hurt her career. She will now forever be 25 , unfortunately. You are right that a tribute is incomplete without her music, and that's why I left a link to her CZcams channel. I wish she had recorded more CD's in her short life.

Unbelievable, unacceptable, cruel destiny. She was one of the best promise for the next lyric scenario. So young. Please enjoy (if you never did before) some excellent videos of Her, or watch again, to celebrate Her Memory all together. We lost a heritage, even before to have it. Sadness.

I heard about that girl when she was about 12 or a bit more. She was studying singing with my student Jana in Ostrava. I even didn, t know her name. But once later I was looking for Lucia for our theatre(Perm opera house, where I was a casting director) and called to her agent.I saw her on Yourube in great Olympia she sang and found out that it is the same person. That time she was the Ostrava University student with another vocal teacher that concidered that it, s to early for her to sing such demending role. And she was right.
One week ago I received the news from Jana that Patricia left this world. I, m very sad about such huge and sincere talent! Hope she was taking to Paradise. Too early but for some reason that only Got knows. RIP, dear girl😔

I have no musical training but I was enchanted by the beautiful singing and grace of this artist.
I have always seen her smiling and available even in the saddest moments, capable and engaging in every one of her performances.

Sad year this year. She was a great if not the greatest singer in this last 50 years. I cannot stand to listen to most of the so- called soprano singers now. I do hope her teacher will find , if not already, a new student that will equal Patricia. It will be very difficult to do so. Guess The good Lord trained her

Today is almost one month since we lost Pati. The pain is still here and I think is going to last long time before I will be used to live with it.
I didn't know her before October 2nd but from the moment I listened to her voice it was as if I had always known her. Her singing keeps coming back to me but also the photo of her happy face hugging her husband the day of the marriage. Her eyes and her voice are the mirror of her Soul... What infinite sadness that I feel to think that she will not longer sing, love and enjoy life. I pray for her every day by playing and dedicating Philippe Rombi's Ave Maria to her. Rest in peace Patrizia...Potkam te zas...

I found one of her videos here on youtube about four days ago and went to her homepage. I immediately mourned for her and her family after finding out what had happened. This deeply disturbed me even though I had just found her work by accident. I think I finally fell asleep around 3or4 in the morning. I have to fight to keep my eyes from watering when i think about it, like now. God Bless

In her very short career, Patricia opened the eyes and ears of thousands to the beauty of classical singing, and thanks to her recorded legacy, will continue to do so for a long time. It is painful to imagine how much more she would have done if weren't for that damned murderer, cancer. It is also painful to imagine how those who knew and loved her personally must feel, if we who only knew her through her recorded or public performances are so saddened by her cruelly young death.

Incredible talent a gift from the heavens how can there not be a God when it creates such a perfect creature as Patricia that voice was out of this world. Why any God would take her away in such a cruel way tests one's faith
I'm not here to have a theological discussion, but I don't believe in a sadist God. Bad things happen to good people for no reason. At least, that's my belief.
'She's not hard to look at' has to be the understatement of the year. Kudos for the correct pron of her name - it's not hard if you show the respect to learn it, as you obviously did, A fairly sketchy bio but are you aware you said vasectomy when you meant mastectomy? At least that's what I thought I heard. Also, any tribute to our precious Patka is pointless without her voice. But thanks for acknowledging the tragic passing of our beloved angel. Many like me are still in deep mourning.
Thanks for your comments! I listened back to myself and -thankfully- I didn't say "vasectomy." But the two words sound quite alike, I'll give you that. I didn't want to dwell upon Patricia's beauty (which is obvious) because comments about someone's appearance can be interpreted as being sexist. But her stunning looks certainly didn't hurt her career. She will now forever be 25 , unfortunately. You are right that a tribute is incomplete without her music, and that's why I left a link to her CZcams channel. I wish she had recorded more CD's in her short life.

Her 'Once Upon a time in the West' was amazing . . . . like another commenter said at the time, ' I don't know how she could remember all the words !' and I laughed at the comment. Am sad and not laughing now. She has been taken too young, but perhaps God's choir needed another Angel .
Not all young performers are 'pushed' into performing & one that has made many a less-than happy day better for me is . . . . . . A n g e l i n a J o r d a n . Her Mom wanted her to sing 'Twinkle little Star' and she said, 'No !' She liked Jazz ! Am sure you know of her, but for those who don't she Won 'Norway's Got Talent' at the age of eight (8). Four amazing songs (on CZcams) she sang to win.

Medical information is protected by privacy laws as it should be. However, we do know that Patricia had an aggressive form of breast cancer, and it is often fatal in young women.
