Patricia is my favorite living musician! However, there are some other wonderful sopranos at the height of their careers, also. Have you checked out French soprano Sabine Devieilhe? She has a similar weightless kind of voice; but in her mid-thirties, is a more experienced singer.

My Aunt Helen had a melodious and ornamental music box which had 12 songs played by bells which switched the cylinder with each number. Flotow's Martha was one of the bell arias. As a little kid, I used to love to listen and play the box every time I would visit her and Granny in their tiny apartment in South East Washington, D.C. Patricia Jeneckova's angelic singing brought up that memory of 70 plus years ago. Oh, Ceil!!
That I still cherish the first time I watch/heard her perform, singing “Once Upon A Time In The West” at about the time she entered her teen years. Since then, we that have followed her have watched with pleasure her growth and the breadth she is willing to try. This is probably not the most demanding of her performances, but it lets us see the depth and strength of her voice. Music takes a lot of strength to perform. Now, I am not formally trained, but there is one thing I would like to see. I think of Isaac Stern who ends a phrase by holding and softening the last note just a little longer. That brings a greater sense of beauty to the soul. It is not only hitting the notes, it is an expression of awesomeness to the performance that is the wonder of God's creation. A beautiful sound with feeling. It is the difference between and craftsmen and an artist. An artist has a part in the creation.
I watch her the first time, when she was 11 yo, singing "La pastorella delle Alpi" from G. Rossini. This is a piece technically very hard but at so young age she sang the aria perfectly.

if you want to introduce children to classical music, this is the girl who will make them sit up & take notice; she sings so many 'child friendly' songs, they will become enchanted with her.
Yes, she has already done this several times. Including the concerts of Spring 2019 (Classic on canvas). a special session for the initiation of young people took place. It was a perfect concert to attract children to classical music via known film music played by the Ostrava orchestra in the city of Karvina in the Czech Republic. personally I was at the evening session and yes 3000 km round trip to even sing it !!! A beautiful mind, which you have already seen on my youtube channel, Once upon a time in the West and a song from the Lord of the Rings that I will not put online.

patricia is ideal in attracting young people to listen to other than rap or hip hop music, because she is young herself, as well as being slim & pretty; i believe she would have a major effect on youngsters in britain; whether a visit to the uk is on her agenda, obviously i don't know, but i think she would be an overnight sensation, especially if she sang in a london theatre; you mention a song from 'lord of the rings' that you won't put on line - i assume it's either bad, unlikely, or it might be released on an album or a single because it is wonderful, therefore my guess is that the song is, 'i see fire,' & if it isn't, she should record it.
ps, my favourite sportswoman, maria sharapova, retired today, so i suppose i'll have to replace her, in terms of favourite people, with pj.

Or was it? Not Flowtow, not Stevenson - but a traditional 'Aislean an Oigfear'.
