- Patricia Janečková was a classically trained singer who died of breast cancer on October the 1st of 2023 at the age of (only) 25.
I really loved her voice and I know she will be missed by more than her family.

grown men would have cried over patricia's death because it was like losing their daughter & also they have grown up watching her progress into a world class singer! possibly the greatest ever soprano! it is particularly poignant when the videos portray her when she was still a teenager, full of life & the world at her feet! time is a healer they say but it will take until we pass the date of her birthday, her death & her funeral! in other words until the new year! the new year should see the emergence of a book, documentary & maybe a stage musical & film about her life! her name must not be allowed to just fade away - patricia deserves more than that!!!

I am 74. Just came across her by accident. I am instantly a fan until I die. I cry, why would God take her back?
Patricia is just residing in another town high in the sky . I see her in every star , every snowflake , every raindrop , every cloud, every sunrise and every sunset . I sense her in every breeze , every chirping of the birds and every flower which blossoms. And her comforting melodies are with us till eternity . Keep on singing Patricia … I hear you every day.

I don't understand why her passing got to me so bad.I saw her perform once apon a time in the west when she was 17 in a red gown.The purity of the notes were just amazing. I thank God for my knowledge of her existence.She was just so inspiring to me.I am 83 years old.

This genre of music has passed me by until a couple of years ago, when I watched Patricia perform in her earlier years. Since then, I became 'attached' to her presence, voice and persona. 'Sadness' is a word, as apt as it may be, .but it fails to express something deeper.... a profound emotion....now that her beautiful, 'inner' essence is absent.
I have never heard of this lady until yesterday and I am already in love, only to sadly discover that she is no longer with us! Can destiny be more cruel? Superbly talented and absolutely gorgeous........and God comes and gets her? It is proof that this man, definitely, does not exist!

I have just discovered and watched your tribute to Patricia Janekova, and thank you very sincerely for creating it, especially since the song you chose was my favourite performance by her. Although I follow other classical singers, Patricia was by far my favourite. The purity of her voice and instinctive knowledge of how a piece should be sung to communicate the emotions within the lyrics to her audience was unsurpassed. I was very fortunate to discover her when her first performance was uploaded to CZcams in 2011, just before my 80th birthday, and have watched and listened to all of her performance many times. It is very difficult for me to come to terms with her death, but your video did help me to grieve.

My introduction to Ms. Janeckova was her rendition in 2012 of the theme from "Once Upon a Time in the West". Her amazing voice captured me and over the years I looked forward to listening to more of her performances. When I heard of her passing, I wondered how a supposedly loving God could take such a beautiful and talented young woman from us at such a terribly early age. Losing such an incredible voice, we have all suffered a tragic loss. RIP Patricia.

I usually don't get that upset when celebrities die, but this one is far different. Tears in my eyes when I listen to her sing now. Such a beautiful voice and lady inside and out. Life just isn't fair sometimes and she got shortchanged. All of us who loved her will take a long time to get over it😢

Conoci a Patricia y suempre lense que era muy buena soprano..y tenia mucha simpatia cuando interpretaba alguna pieza de Mozart..no puedo creer cuando he visto que ya nos la han arrebatado, fueron muy listos los de arriba. Suerte que podemos ver sus grabaciones😢 . Que descanse en paz❤❤❤y el pesame para su familia y amigos más cercanos.
